I didn’t want to believe it at first about competing with isabakes but they’ve even posted about getting a neon sign now..

It’s obv that they are annoyed they’ve trained her up and given her the skills to go it alone and succeed especially as it’s the same industry and similar products

That’s life tho huns 💅🏻

I totally agree! They said there’s only the twons who do the decorating etc now that Isabelle and Tessa have left and they won’t be training anyone else up. They forget that Isabelle could bake really well when she started with them. She used to make amazing cakes and she was only about 16 at the time. She will have obviously got a lot better since working at Finch though

Thread suggestion....

‘Passive aggressive huns who make a living baking buns, true colours creeping through-especially when Isabakes made her debut’

I think ‘training her up’ is a bit generous anyway tbh (I know that’s what they said not any of you) they’re self taught, loads of people are these days, and they take so many shortcuts like the chocolate spread drip it’s not like they’ve ‘trained’ her in trade secrets or anything! She could’ve learnt all that on YouTube these days.

True. They seem to have claimed it as training her up. Bet they’re fuming their employee has now gone alone and absolutely smashing it. Good for her!

I caved and ordered the Isabakes Easter box. I have to say it is very impressive; the cakes are HUGE and very aesthetically pleasing. I've only tried a couple of things so far, but the things I have tried have been really nice, moist and with loads of mix ins.

Trained her up? Not being funny but I ‘trained’ myself up from watching YouTube and LOTS of f**k ups and practise over the years. It’s not rocket science and Isabel obviously has a natural talent. If that’s someone’s job day in day out they’re naturally going to get better over time. I understand their point but if they’re going to throw the teddy out of the cot every time someone leaves then they need to pack it all in because that’s just business huns 🤓. Like I’ve said before I think they’re just spoilt little sh1ts used to getting their own way 🙄

I’m all up for people succeeding in life, but she should do it with her own style! Her celebration cakes are so much like finch bakery. If you’re going to do it be original

If someone says I want this cake she's hardly going to say no sorry that's a Finch cake ask them!

She was also doing those cakes before starting with Finch! I followed her then and I remember them being really good

Totally agree, I’m in the east of England and honestly ALL of the bakeries and cake people round here do them the same and have done for years 😂

She was doing them AT finch so maybe they got the idea from her, If you look on her page she has pics of cakes with finch wall in the background

I agree lots of celebration cakes from different companies are very similar. As others have said it‘s also true about the brownies, cookies, cookie pies etc.
