This page has been fascinating.

Putting my cards on the table I run a similar buisness although I'm all about the product and not interested in becoming insta famous.

I hear all the time how much better my brownies and cakes are than here - not from friends but from customers who would be unlikely to go out of their way to say this unless it was true. My products are very very different to theirs. I use local farms for my eggs and dairy. Where as they seem to use palm oil products. I use high quality vanilla not the low grade synthetic mix they do. This allows them to save a huge amount of money and have a longer shelf life, but their high in Palm oil products are bad for the environment (think of the orangutans!) and for people's health. butter has been shown to be far bettet than these chemically altered oil spreads that their products are loaded in. My products are the same price, I probably make far far less per item but the quality is #1 to me.

Anyone that likes their products I urge to try other places that are less Instagram famous and use better ingredients. No offense to anyone but some people like chocolate that's made with vegetable oil to maximise profits while others prefer high quality chocolate that uses cocoa butter. I only use high quality cocoa butter chocolate in my products.

I hope this doesn't come across as bitchy, but I feel so many get lured in by social media for an inferior product and they don't even realise.
The fact that they pride themselves that they don’t use butter in their BUTTERcream, they use Tesco own chocolate spread for drips and use cheap nasty products and sell cakes for a premium says a lot.
I’d rather buy something decent than I would buy just for an insta brand.
Their nozzles are mugged off *wilton 2d* with an etching. You’re paying for the brand, it’s no better quality..

We live in a free world , if you don't want to buy their brownies then don't buy them. They could sue people making comments to be critical of their brownies and praise Lidl for loss of earnings! You get what you pay for at the end of the day
Sorry but 59p brownies where 100% better than the brownies I paid £18 for !! It’s not always you get what you pay for as finch isn’t cheap yet we see they buy cheap nasty products! They making money out of cheap nasty shite.

Oh Marie hun. I think the whole point of the brownie thing is proving you quite literally don't get what you pay for. If FB want to defend themselves they should come and do it and be upfront. I personally think their business posts have been great recently hence why I haven't posted here it's a shame to start undoing that with fake profiles and talk of suing members of an online forum.
They did come to defend themselves and it was deleted, it’s not allowed on here I don’t think.

Suing posters for ‘loss of earnings’ because people are suggesting Lidl brownies is a wholly ridiculous idea. There is no way for Finch to quantify how much they’ve ‘lost’ by a handful of people on a forum saying to go to Lidl. Not to mention these were not customers in the first place for the most part so they haven’t lost custom. And if their business is really that damaged by a few people online saying to go to Lidl instead then frankly they have way more of a problem than a handful of posters not buying their stuff. They would lose more in legal fees than it would be worth and I doubt any civil lawyer worth their salt would even take it on.

Alba is ace! Such a good talker and super funny! I think Tessa to begin with and then Alba were responsible for increased followers and engagement.

With cake jars as well, you know it’s always the off cuts and the old cake? I’ve seen so many bakeries on Instagram asked ‘what do you do to minimise waste’ and it’s always ‘cake jars’...idk I find it a bit off putting that cake jars are kinda ‘whatever is left after the real products are made’

I think for the sake of their children it’s good that they have. High profile celebrities manage to protect their children’s identity, with the amount of Instagram followers finch bakery have why would they want everyone to see so much of their children, especially pictures of Alba in the bath. They could quite literally have anyone on there
I’ve always found the pictures of Alba in the bath very strange to so many people! She’s a beautiful funny baby but they have no idea who is watching from such a public account. I think when you haven’t experienced negative and traumatic experiences yourself people are often very naive to the way people can be and things that can happen.

What the f**k is going on here? Giving me headache looking at it. They’ve somehow managed to make an expensive bed and bed linen look like something thrown together from a charity shop 🥴. Had a look on the bed linen website and a fitted sheet alone was nearly £100, looks shit huns. Couldn’t cope with any room being that dark but each to their own 🤷🏻‍♀️

Must say it takes 5 years, it isn't your regular degree
Yes as you say it does take 5 years, is extremely hard to get onto the course and as you need registration have to show great integrity. Needs to be very careful with regards to her social media accounts - language, judgemental posts. To work in any kind of medicine related career you have to be non judgemental

I've had my own baking business for 6 years now and I agree, when I started business was amazing and now I've lost count of how many people do it around my area, during lockdown everyone seemed to be doing it. The bad thing is, is that most of them don't follow guidelines and haven't been inspected and sell cheaper than me especially celebration cakes.
There has been an explosion of people baking and selling cakes this last year. I’m really careful about who and where I buy from, and usually go for someone who’s been doing it longer, has the necessary hygiene and insurance and has good reviews along with a big collection of photos. Please don’t give up your business, I’m sure those who started up for a quick buck will soon stop.

They are sneaky, sly, passive aggressive bitches. I’ve said it for a long time (used to love them!)

I follow them and I don’t live anywhere near the bakery! Feel quite invested in their lives - I can see why some people wouldn’t get the humour, it’s clear they love their kids though. I’d rather see all the ups and downs than someone pretending everything is perfect though.

wouldn’t you have an issue if your children’s pictures were being posted on a forum and discussed? As I think any parent would.. yes they post their children a lot on their social media pages, but that’s their pages and their choice to.
Once you post your child anywhere online you no longer have any choice or control about how other people use that image unfortunately. They should know that. God knows whose hands those pictures have fallen into and for what purpose.
