Thats one thing thats put me off is the ingredients, i dont mind paying for something yummy thats made with nice ingredients but they've admitted they dont even use real nutella Id rather pay a bit more and have better quality? Maybe im being a snob but if i wanted stuff like that id buy it from asda

I think for the sake of their children it’s good that they have. High profile celebrities manage to protect their children’s identity, with the amount of Instagram followers finch bakery have why would they want everyone to see so much of their children, especially pictures of Alba in the bath. They could quite literally have anyone on there

Jane is so lovely! She’s always friendly and helpful if you reach out to her or comment on her Instagram. I’m sure her book will be a better success. She has such a huge variation of recipes to warrant publishing a book.

As you said you don’t know what your staff want or need. So give them the cash and don’t make that decision for them by giving them a bloody Asda voucher. They’re adults, they have agency, they can choose how to spend their money. Why are they being given supermarket vouchers as a gift? I find that very weird.

Not to mention these are their own staff - if they think they’re struggling to pay for a food shop on the minimum wage they pay them, that says a lot about them as employers.

A lot of their staffs members are older though as you said. and maybe a missguided voucher wouldn’t be versatile enough don’t understand your point, surely they don’t have to give any incentives out so anything is just a nice gesture. Vouchers aren’t taxed and £ is maybe I dont no

The blondie recipe is from Leticia bakes! It’s very in depth and you get sent a PDF once you buy it, it’s only £2 as well and I swear to god tastes exactly the same.

And people aren’t criticising for over posting, they are critical because it’s been mentioned here that they haven’t posted a lot about Isabel and as soon as it’s mentioned here they start posting.

Oh my god I looooooove Finch Bakery!! I’ve had dozens of cake jars and boxes of brownies/blondies from them! All delicious!!! I actually think their prices are so good. I’m in the south though which may be why I think they are cheap.

I do think both Lauren and Rachel are hilarious and I totally get their dry sense of humour. I love watching their stories! And the kids are so cute!

I agree with this! Nice to see people be honest and show the good and the bad rather than their perfect lives

Wonder if they have just discovered this website?

Does anyone find it amusing they’ve now locked down their baby account and made it private? Obviously this has touched a little nerve.
Hopefully their own self obsession will be their undoing as they won’t overshare their private lives now, just their cakes, and personally I think that so many people have been drawn in by their personalities and being involved in their lives and all their little sordid behaviours, as opposed to their wares.
Maybe hire that PR guy you’ve been advised so hard about.

I see they are now going to be selling moulds - just like isabakes said she would be doing ...

Also, the content has suddenly ramped up on finch, posting alot more / pushing it all, I think they are hugely trying to outdo isabakes when she just seems to be smashing it without coming across in a odd way, then maybe that's just me! Like, quick quick we get in there first, kinda thing.

It's sad really because I really liked the twins at the beginning - love the ideas ect, but since Tessa and isabel left its gone abit bitchy and shit.

Oh I agree they hardly did anything new for years now all of a sudden its new products weeky. Definitely think they are trying to outdo isabel and post things first but isabel is far more likeable than the twins and will go far im sure

We live in a free world , if you don't want to buy their brownies then don't buy them. They could sue people making comments to be critical of their brownies and praise Lidl for loss of earnings! You get what you pay for at the end of the day

This was from 5 years ago. They share their birthday cakes over the years to show how they have improved etc. I quite like that they’re not embarrassed by their past work when they weren’t as experienced in making big cakes, like their first drips cakes not a lewk but everyone has to start somewhere

I haven't looked at Isabelle's since she first started off. She has so much more variety than Finch.
I find that's one thing with them. They don't do much variety. Occasionally they'll add a different thing like they did with the cookies. But apart from that, they stick to the same things

They seem to have started doing more of a variety since Isabels page did well/ it was mentioned on here lol
