Oh as if Tessa is going off to be a teacher, she's far too in love with herself for that. Tessa and the twins are possibly the plainest looking, most egocentric people I have ever come across on social media. They're gross and they will eat themselves, their business model will only hold out so long. Consumers love the idea of buying into something, but consumers also need to know they have the right to reply if something goes wrong and the right to do that without having messages screenshot and put all over social media to humiliate you.
One of the twins made a ranty post about why so many people had started watching her videos on Instagram and threatened to out the people who had watched multiple times. What an absolute div - if you don't want a bunch of strangers watching your stuff then make your stuff private and don't incessantly go on about it.

They're gross and have no manners. I've tried their products and really did genuinely like them all (the people, not the products) at first but truth be told the posh brownies at Lidl are just as nice and are £1.79 for 5. Thank me later.

Everyone is all ‘clap for carers/nhs’ publically and then secretly this is what they are doing not just them, loads of people. Pisses me off.

And this is the exact reason this is going to keep going on. People just cannot do the right thing for the sake of others they are putting so many peoples lives at risk. I have a baby in between the ages of Alba and kit and I’m terrified of this new strain, it affects children more and it’s killing me the longer this all goes on it just gets harder but I will keep doing it to protect my child. I suppose the friend probably has outed them as they’ve been doing lots of selfish things and as they’d gone private and seemingly straightened their business page, they’re annoyed people aren’t seeing the truth.

Don’t the twins use loads of recipes from Leticia Bakes anyway? To be honest, it’s not like they are doing anything unique or radical, they post hacks and recipes all the time. The most Isabakes got from them that normal followers haven’t is maybe the hands on experience but again, it’s not like they’re using secret techniques or anything.

They cant be donig that bad for themselves though with 20+ staff they do proper cakes too and wedding cakes up until last year. Still i think they're overrated and people will get bored of the finch brand eventually

I wonder how many of their supposed staff are being paid properly. Social media influencers so probably clout. I really blinked at that screenshot upthread of that moan they did about not wanting to pay an 18yr old the same amount of money than the >25yr old standing next to them doing the exact same job. I know it was wrapped in a Corbyn rant wrapper, but whenever I hear or read of people whinging about paying their staff a fair wage, I’m not impressed. If you can’t afford to pay your staff fairly, you‘re either unspeakably greedy or you don’t have a viable business to my mind.

The internet is not lacking for people setting up a mail order cake business. These twins have very pretty looking cakes, they really do. So do a lot of other people, and a significant proportion scratch bake their products with proper ingredients. We might be heading into high unemployment and recession following covid so these companies will need to up their game to survive.

I know this is a rave thread, so I will say that photos of their micro display of baked goods in their shop is very cute.

Does anyone else wonder if their “sell out” products might be a fraud?!
If you’re only making say 30 trays to sell then of course they’re going to go quick! While people would naturally assume they’ve sold potentially hundreds, and that then keeps people in the “OMG they sell out so quick they must be amazing so I must get some for myself!!” loop.
I follow other accounts who will state “X amount on the site now” but never seen FB mention any numbers.

Finch replied and said oh god I’m so sorry please contact us for a refund or replacement etc and the OP said don’t want anything just letting you know. And they put something like it happens we are only human but we do wear hairnets etc

I saw that, I actually thought they handled it well by offering a replacement and apologising. Don't understand why their pal had to get so rude on their behalf!

Yesterday they said she's finally won £120 bonus ball or something for having to chase her up for her £2 every week then this morning they put a memory up from last year offering all the staff coffee and no-one wanting one and said this new girl will accept anything for free. I dont care if its their sense of humour they come across as total bitches

I love Finch Bakery, they have worked damn hard to be in the position they have today. They may have got funding to start off, so what, good for them, . I am a baker and know how hard it is just to get a cake order out. Agree with Eu4, they share their timehop pics, look how far they have come!
