EVERYONES CELEBRATION CAKES ARE THE SAME THESE DAYS

FinchyB have done nothing special. They are not the original founder of cakes like this lol
Totally agree, I’m in the east of England and honestly ALL of the bakeries and cake people round here do them the same and have done for years 😂

I don’t think they make as much as they claim - good friends of mine were bakers from their teens to retirement. They did proper cakes and everything in a trendy part of London. Their margins were very narrow - not the kind that would allow multiple jaunts abroad. Also, they had very long days so even if social media was a thing, they simply wouldn’t have the time to tit about as they needed to work.

I suspect a lot more of the girls’ lifestyles is funded by dads / partners than £14 brownies that sell out within 20 mins (which speaks to a daily cap - don’t want to burn out on a glorified hobby, not a living).

I asked about the Stork and spread vs butter and my friends said they found cakes made with Stork kept better in a freezer, lasted a bit longer when decorated but it had a more neutral taste that could be covered by the filling. Oh, and it was infinitely cheaper than butter. They goggled at the business model based on Tesco blocks and pre mixes.

I personally wonder if the complaints regarding the cake jars could be down to them recycling old freezer cake that would otherwise be thrown. Chucking in a mess of frosting is an attempt to cover sponge that is just about to go stale.

Still milking the rude and unprofessional line with the post they’ve been sent, even though they don’t read here and are totally over it.
They're gross but georges bakery are just as vile. I genuinely thought they were making an attempt at rehabilitating their image and thus not ruining their business but they just can't help themselves.

It may seem amusing to stick with your mates FB and try and take the piss out of people who you have offended or who don't like you, but Georges Bakery aren't gonna be the ones buying your brownies are they? Their behaviour is so triggering for anyone who has been bullied, anyone who has aligned themselves with them really needs to have a think about how much their value their own business before asking if they can be part of the clique. And I say this as someone who doesn't give a fuck what size bed Alba has and I don't actually mind the house pics. You're coming across as nasty bitches and your business will be affected by this.

And they don’t take long for those true colours to come seeping through 😂 Has this just been put up today? It will be the comments on here from the past few days that have wound them up. Influencers have serious delusions of grandeur. They make a living from their social media and enjoy all the freebies that come with it yet they expect people to agree with every single thing they say and do. I don’t agree with trolling people directly and as far as I’m aware nobody here has done that! People are allowed to have opinions and my opinion is that they are rude, arrogant and passive aggressive bitches who prove my point regularly 😂
This! The end of their post is disgusting. People are allowed to comment and have opinions, it’s called the freedom of speech. Nobody forces them to read here and if it was me, I’d rather people wrote things elsewhere than on my public pages etc. It’s ok for them to slag people off but not ok for people to discuss their behaviour? I also haven’t seen anything horrible on here, just opinions and chatter about the way they operate, observations about the way they run their bakery and how they choose to portray their business online. It’s very telling that they seem to react to anything that’s said here, most recently their behaviour about isabakes setting up a shop and their underhanded and bitchiness about it which was noted here, including revealing the news before Isabel did! Then they suddenly changed tack, congratulated her and posted a celebration post for her. The talk about their decisions revolving their children was fair and justified, it was also nhs/WHO recommendations that they were choosing to ignore which incidentally one of them also chose to ignore lockdown rules to go to a rave so it appears they don’t care for other people unless they’re lining their pockets so they can pay minimum wage.
I loved the bakery and the twins when I found them 4/5 years ago. They were inspirational but it soon changed when they started to behave unprofessionally, publicly out anyone who didn’t lick their arse but would post their own bitchy and negative opinions. People here turned when they showed their true colours. The pandemic has been very illuminating for a lot of behaviour online as people have more time to observe and think about what’s they’re seeing and what other people are doing. And now they suddenly claim to want to help a mental health charity while at the same time telling people to go F themselves. Hypocrisy at its finest.

The social distancing thing bothered me the most. For months they have been stood side-by-side with friends/family in photos (which aren't throwbacks) and seemingly behaving as normal (group holidays, dates, spa days). Maybe I'm just bitter because I've barely seen any family or friends in months and it just feels unfair!
If I recall correctly, both the twins had covid in March/April and they both wrote posts about how terrible the symptoms were, especially in respect to long-covid. I personally don't understand how, when they've actually experienced how nasty it can be, they can continue to break rules and put others at risk? Or at least publicising their behaviour for others to see
Lancashire is in Tier 3, top of the charts for numbers of infections and the local Hospital is at breaking point with covid cases. The Finch Bakery circle live in an area of Lancashire known as the Ribble Valley - which is pretty much inhabited by daddy’s princesses, spoilt children and people who feel they are are way more superior to anyone else - and will do what they want.

Can’t be any worse than when they sold a cupcake to someone with a nut allergy and posted it all over social media making a joke asking the lady to get in touch. It could have been disastrous for them. Deleted comments stating that this was extremely serious and it wasn’t to be taken lightly.

so they said they stopped reading here and ‘forgot about it’ but then mysteriously got loads of questions like...why they use baking block (they then called it frosting) stuff about whether they were given money from their parents to start the businesses etc...so everything being discussed here 😂

Yes I know it’s commonly used I didn’t say it wasn’t. It’s the fact bakers call it buttercream when there is no butter in it I disagree with. It should be called frosting. I’ve used block butter for years and never had an issue 🤷🏻‍♀️
I’ve never had an issue with butter either 🤷🏻‍♀️ Never grey, never separates. If you’re not using butter it should definitely not be called buttercream!

I think this is why the twins told tessa to stop doing the lives. I used to live watching the lives but in them you can’t help but notice little things like tessa used to cough a lot or rub their noses, touch their hair. I remember something being mentioned in a live about them being reported by someone who had been watching and something about not videoing the back ground etc!

Also remember that seat was OLD and gifted so not even up to standard. Maybe kit your child out safely in your expensive Range Rover parked on the drive of your new home. A joie is about £70.. sure her safety is worth more.
I absolutely do not understand how a parent can fork out for a flash car like a RR but then not give a shit about their child’s car seat??? Like hello, your child’s safety should come above anything else in life 🤔
I do agree they have gone all out crazy about tattle and made themselves look very unprofessional and foolish. I won’t lie, I’ve been a fan for years and follow the bakery and the twins (not the kids account as there’s so much posted already 😂) but I really haven’t enjoyed all of their whining about tattle. Yes some things have been said that they won’t like, but don’t read it? People are entitled to an opinion and just because you happen to read it doesn’t mean people haven’t said the same in real life to a friend. Unfortunately when you are a presence on social media, you open yourself up to this. I also follow tessa and while I thought she was a great girl, around august/early sept as COVID cases started to rise she posted a photo stating she wasn’t following guidance to social distance etc as she wanted to live life, go drinking and hug her friends. She got ripped in the comments from people saying you might survive COVID if you got it but someone you love that you pass it onto might not be so lucky. She deleted the post because she couldn’t stick up for herself and her silly decision and since then I can’t like her the same. Now after this tattle show they’ve done I like them all far less so as someone said above, all they’ve done is drive more people here & brought down their reputation.

They've done this a few times through lockdown.... at one point they posted from a house party somewhere that seemed to have a proper dj at it! And they clearly had a fairly big shindig for their birthday. Doesn't surprise me in the slightest that they're still doing it, however it does surprise me that they're still posting it online. You're clearly going to get flack for it so just.... don't?

Don’t get me wrong I love a dark wall, as a contrast...but this is extreme. Is their whole house going to be black and navy? It’s like people who paint their entire house grey.

Everyone and their dog are selling brownies and blondies these days. It's actually really disheartening because I've always wanted my own baking business but it seems so faddish now with everyone jumping on the bandwagon. Most of them don't even offer anything unique either, just nicking eachother's recipies and baking the same bogstandard tat covered in more sugar. Like christ atleast have some originality, how many biscoff/kinder/nutella/jammie dodger traybakes does anyone need!?
I've had my own baking business for 6 years now and I agree, when I started business was amazing and now I've lost count of how many people do it around my area, during lockdown everyone seemed to be doing it. The bad thing is, is that most of them don't follow guidelines and haven't been inspected and sell cheaper than me especially celebration cakes.

Shows that they read here too 🤣. I wouldn’t say they’re gross either that’s what majority of the population have in their houses 😆. Just not behind a side table in a hallway 👍
