Cake Tin Bakery are insanely delicious!!! Price is totally worth it!
I’ve had Cake Tin Bakery a couple times, never disappointed. There’s one in the midlands that I like too, Drip&Drizzle Bakery. They’ve got some crazy looking stuffed Easter eggs at the minute. Ordered some on Thursday.

Ordered a cookie dough slab from Cakes Contour before and it had hair on it. Like someone had shaved and then rolled the dough in it. FOUL. Contacted them. Was adamant that it couldn’t have happened there because noone had a haircut or had shaved. Turns out in the end they had a “friend” come help and he had just been to the barbers before coming to their unit. 🤡 Asked if I wanted a replacement 😂 NO THANKS.

Are you being serious? Of course they’re making a lot of money. Their whole family is employed by the business. Plus lots of other people (who will be on minimum or relatively low wage, they take on unskilled and train up). Also very old fashioned to think they’re reliant on partners to fund lifestyle. As many have mentioned here the prices are higher end and the ingredients are cheap, but guess what their products taste amazing and always sell out so that’s fine if you don’t want to pay it, other people will. But it explains why they’re making plenty of money. And as for you using them selling out quickly as an example for why they’re not making money, as if they’re not making enough, I’d argue it just shows that their products are popular and continue to be so- yes 30 people sounds like a lot but if there are more people wanting mail brownies than those 30 people can make they are going to sell out. I have followed these girls and the bakery for years, they are hardworking and business shrewd - nothing more to it. Yes some of you might think they’re unprofessional but perhaps that’s why it works best for them to be self employed; not everyone has to be a corporate robot and if they’re making a great living, can afford bigger houses and more holidays than the rest of you then who’s laughing :)
Ah Zee, bless you hun, you were doing so well until you made the dig about other people's financial situations (because of course jealousy would be the *only* reason people wouldn't like you and your sister).

You are going to ruin your business...

Is it normal for bakeries etc to buy all their stock from supermarkets or should they really be going to a wholesaler? Isobel has put up a post with a trolley full of Easter eggs and other bakers have said they’ve done the same, I feel like it’s a bit bad buying all the supermarket stock, it so annoying going in and there being hardly any Easter eggs left! I remember trying to buy about ten for work before and was told there was a limit!!

Does anyone else wonder if their “sell out” products might be a fraud?!
If you’re only making say 30 trays to sell then of course they’re going to go quick! While people would naturally assume they’ve sold potentially hundreds, and that then keeps people in the “OMG they sell out so quick they must be amazing so I must get some for myself!!” loop.
I follow other accounts who will state “X amount on the site now” but never seen FB mention any numbers. 🧐
I don’t like them on Instagram. I think they’re annoying. I liked watching some cake videos but they all seemed the same, but I suppose if that’s what people order then that’s what they make. I unfollowed them a few weeks ago because they post 100 times a day and I don’t know if it’s my Instagram but they always showed up top on my feed even though I never commented or liked their stuff 😂 a friend of mine sent me this so I felt compelled to read 😂 I don’t mind their brownies, I’ve actually ordered a few times. The cake jars aren’t good though. Too sickly and taste like frozen cake. I do have to say though don’t they have like 20+ staff?? So they must be making more than 30 trays to pay their wages? Even if they’re on minimum wage that’s at least 20k a month plus overheads I think they’re doing all right for themselves to afford that and pay themselves. I don’t think I’d post numbers on my products because I wouldn’t want people knowing how much I was making. That’s what companies house is for 😂😂😂😂 🕵🏼‍♂️

Trained her up? Not being funny but I ‘trained’ myself up from watching YouTube and LOTS of f**k ups and practise over the years. It’s not rocket science and Isabel obviously has a natural talent. If that’s someone’s job day in day out they’re naturally going to get better over time. I understand their point but if they’re going to throw the teddy out of the cot every time someone leaves then they need to pack it all in because that’s just business huns 🤓. Like I’ve said before I think they’re just spoilt little sh1ts used to getting their own way 🙄

They’re trying to be influencers as well as the bakery stuff I think but it just doesn’t work all being on that same page. They post so much anyway you can’t keep up 🤯

Whoever posted the party intel better be careful you know. They’ll prob do a Wagatha Christie to try and find out who it was 🤣🤣

Still disgusted and disappointed about the party saga. They/she should be ashamed. Strong believer that karma will pay them back though 👍🏼 (Hope the party was worth it girls)

Wow at that wage stuff! Outed her true self.

How is people's opinions on them ruined their week? If they don't want people to have opinions on them why don't they stop broadcasting their personal life? It really shouldn't need explaining to an adult of average intelligence that when you court fame not everything will be positive. That's not cyber bullying if you're somewhat famous and go out of your way to seek opinions on a gossip forum that you know won't be all positive. Fools.

Sorry be kind? Do you think this thread is kind? This is not gossip this is slating 2 young girls on a forum. God forbid anyone wrote anything like this about any of you. And if any of you aren't parents and are lucky enough to become parents I hope you do a perfect job 24/7 because fuck me you all think you are.
Sorry, but for one, they're hardly young girls.
You make it sound like we're talking about two 17 year olds or something.
They're both (nearly?) 30. They're fully grown adults with their own home and families.
I know it may be hard to see that when they speak/write like they're 15 year olds.

The things people have commented on on here about their parenting, majority or things, especially Rachel, have been dangerous things, that isn't about being a perfect parent. That's about just doing research!
But she's said before she doesn't want to hear it yet. She'd rather put her child in danger.

Guilty. I follow their Instagram. I think their cakes look absolutely amazing; my colleagues all rave about them, I just find the Insta can be quite off-putting. I'm barely interested in my friends' children let alone some random bakery owners' children. It's Alba spam (other twin with Kit seems more sensible/less spammy). They have their own kiddie account if people want to coo over children they don't know (weird but acceptable I guess), not sure why it's all over the bakery account?? Especially as Alba just seems to be eating cake all the time. Now I don't have kids, but I have a dog and I'm defo more careful with his diet....!

My thing with that George is how far in advance he does his bakes. I get he needs to have them done to post on the Monday BUT I wouldn't wanna spend over £30 on items that were made nearer a week prior. Maybe that's just me because I'm funny with things like that.

Rachel's chin points to the right and Lauren to the left... (I think?) I remember them saying on one of the lives when somebody asked how to tell them apart. Odd looking pair...I have a friend who knows them and says people used to call them the chin twins😂. She also said Lauren is the more stuck up one.

I don't think they seem like nice people at all. The fact they are massive Tories who are majorly out of touch with reality is so off putting. Can't remember which, but I saw one of them on twitter a while ago slating people on benefits and being very classist. The tweet from Lauren moaning about having to pay her staff more under Corbyn is disgusting tbh. Its a joke for them to pretend that they would ever have to worry about money and an insult to people who are actually living in poverty. Very telling that they didn't address the free school meals thing too...

They come across so bitchy on insta, I just don't get why they are like that? Weird behaviour

And now the thread comes full circle: first a rave thread then an Instagrammer’s thread and back to a rave thread.

Just a shame it’s raving about everyone (including Lidl) except Finch (and the £35 for five small defrosted and sweated upon baked goods guy).

🤷‍♀️

Bloody hell everyone, I was TRYING to lose weight but some of the suggestions look soo good!

We live in a free world , if you don't want to buy their brownies then don't buy them. They could sue people making comments to be critical of their brownies and praise Lidl for loss of earnings! You get what you pay for at the end of the day
We do live in a free world, hence we can say whatever we like.
It's hardly getting what you pay for with theirs though is it when all their ingredients are cheap and artificial?

And you're basically saying nobody can ever give a bad review because people could sue? Okay.

I live near finch bakery and they made my child's birthday cake, it was SO overpriced and it was very dry. I find them quite rude, my first encounter was ordering the cake and I have never been back. They act like they are celebs.

As much as i love the look of them, i can’t help but think it’s so unprofessional that they post so much of their private life (kids, wedding...) i think it should be strictly a business page and then have their own accounts🤷🏼‍♀️
See this is the main reason I actually follow them and buy from them. I’m not a massive fan of their products (love a brownie though!) but I think they’re hilarious. I honestly think it’s harmless and there’s a lot follow them because they’re funny.
