I don't think this reflects well on them at all. Before tonight I thought they were loud and a bit unprofessional, but had no strong feeling either way, liked their brownies etc. Their thread on here is tame compared to others. They've read a few posts and gone off about it all over social media, drawing loads of attention to this thread in the process anyway. It's so OTT which is exactly what I didn't really like about them in the first place and such an overreaction it's really just validated what I thought about being unprofessional as well tbh.

This is what someone else was saying, they do the same if someone leaves a bad review or comment on their Instagram, they screenshot it, reply some bitchy comment and then post it on all their stories and Facebook so everyone goes and attacks them

I don’t know why their parents would intervene they’re nearly 30!!!!! There are lots of cake accounts they repost on their page that swear/ passive aggressive/ out their customers for reviews and messages... maybe it’s a cake thing!

I know you've made an account just to defend the twins.
However,
Yes they're nearly 30. But would they have got their business up and running without Daddy's help?

This is exactly what is really making me dislike them more and more! It’s not as if they don’t have their own pages if they want to post it! For gods sake they’re nearly 30, not bitchy high school girls. I just don’t get how this is appropriate or necessary?

Sorry but what is with them posting "If you don't wax ur tash ur weird pass it on X" on their Instagram stories?

My sister just sent me a SS of their story and was saying that it made her self conscious and was asking if she has a noticeable tash... Strange that they would post something like that? It's cruel and unnecessary, especially on their business account? Am I overthinking it?

And to me comes across like they would judge their customers etc

I’ve never thought about how I look / hair make up done to go and get a subway but their posts make me think twice about nipping to them for a cake.

It’s almost as if I’m ‘not good enough’ to shop with them, does that makes sense ?

Oh yes because we think they are unprofessional that means we are poor and live in small houses with no careers and a sad life We are allowed an opinion regardless of our own personal circumstances!

It seems that finch bakery is very popular. They have done well for themselves by selling cakes with mediocre ingredients at an extortionate price (anyone tried Lidl bakery brownies for < £1??? Incredible) then taking their high profit and spending it on big houses and lots of holidays to show off their earnings. Yes they’ve done well for themselves and must earn a lot but they seem like mean mean girls, particularly the way they have handled discovering this thread. It is not a nice trait at all.

People will always have an opinion on you, wherever they write it online or not, whether you read it or not, whether you screen shot it for your Instagram story or not. People will always have an opinion. You can choose to ignore it or you can choose to let it bother you. I know what I’d do.

This is why they have earned the criticism they get. So unprofessional and downright nasty.

The only issue with that advent calendar is that if most the girls are under 21 then they won’t have their own place. I know I wouldn’t have appreciated a voucher for marks and Spencer’s at 18 cause it was just irrelevant then. Would love it now!

I never used to mind finch bakery, wasn’t mad on the stuff they sold but I found them quite funny. Gone off them a lot though, tried their blondies again over lockdown and I just don’t get the hype at all! Ive recently ordered from Alanahs bakes (ABC) and they were so much better!! She’s in Accrington and seems lovely on social media. I think they’ll really start suffering with other bakers coming through now doing postal and having shops

To be fair I’m a hobby baker and I probably would invest in their book, I spend so much time flipping between recipes for brownies etc and never seem to get it right so I probably would.

Is the book gonna be written in their “u ok hun” slang cause not sure I can deal with that

Does anyone find it amusing they’ve now locked down their baby account and made it private? Obviously this has touched a little nerve.
Hopefully their own self obsession will be their undoing as they won’t overshare their private lives now, just their cakes, and personally I think that so many people have been drawn in by their personalities and being involved in their lives and all their little sordid behaviours, as opposed to their wares.
Maybe hire that PR guy you’ve been advised so hard about.

Yeah twitter has gone private. They constantly write stuff in anger and delete it, its just not professional. Upon finding this forum with these posts any professional business would have ignored it. Their products are fantastic, its just themselves that need work. Writing a wall of text on how well they pay their staff and how none of them are on minimum wage entirely contradicts the fact that they themselves wrote the tweet on how they wont be able to afford to live with corbyns "minimum wage increase"; it just makes them look fake. The fact that they worked out the figures entirely wrong did not help. They need to focus their attention inwards, not at people on this forum.

Oh my god I looooooove Finch Bakery!! I’ve had dozens of cake jars and boxes of brownies/blondies from them! All delicious!!! I actually think their prices are so good. I’m in the south though which may be why I think they are cheap.

I do think both Lauren and Rachel are hilarious and I totally get their dry sense of humour. I love watching their stories! And the kids are so cute!

Are you being serious? Of course they’re making a lot of money. Their whole family is employed by the business. Plus lots of other people (who will be on minimum or relatively low wage, they take on unskilled and train up). Also very old fashioned to think they’re reliant on partners to fund lifestyle. As many have mentioned here the prices are higher end and the ingredients are cheap, but guess what their products taste amazing and always sell out so that’s fine if you don’t want to pay it, other people will. But it explains why they’re making plenty of money. And as for you using them selling out quickly as an example for why they’re not making money, as if they’re not making enough, I’d argue it just shows that their products are popular and continue to be so- yes 30 people sounds like a lot but if there are more people wanting mail brownies than those 30 people can make they are going to sell out. I have followed these girls and the bakery for years, they are hardworking and business shrewd - nothing more to it. Yes some of you might think they’re unprofessional but perhaps that’s why it works best for them to be self employed; not everyone has to be a corporate robot and if they’re making a great living, can afford bigger houses and more holidays than the rest of you then who’s laughing

Oh thanks I’ll just go back to my holiday less small house lifestyle no I agree what you say about them but you can’t assume we are all sitting in small houses just because we don’t rate them?? they are clearly doing well for themselves and sell out most days that’s clear. I don’t think it matters how much money they make compared to what everyone else makes?

Gonna be honest, I now don't know if its finch's insta or isabakes insta I'm looking at. Are finch aware they are starting to look really obvious in their battle with isabakes
