I was just coming to post this!! Especially when they’re showing screen shots of it online next to other cooking/baking books for half the price and even less..
Don’t think I’ve ever paid that much for a cook/baking book and I have most of John Whaites & Mary Berry’s 😳

I worked in a book shop as a teen and I collected a little stack of baking books over time. Great British bake off, nigella, Mary Berry, primrose bakery, lolas cupcakes, etc and I only ever bought them when they were WIGIGS (when it’s gone it’s gone). They’d be around £5 instead of the RPP of £20/£25, usually because they were years old and no longer snapped up. I absolutely guarantee their book is a WIGIG in no time because nobody wants to pay £20 🤣

Wonder if they're gonna credit all the bakers recipes they use? 🤔 doubt it selective memory and they'll think they invented them like cake jars 🙄

Basic food hygiene... raw meat should be stored on the bottom shelf of a fridge so it can’t drip onto any other food... surely being caterers they should know this. Probably why they don’t have a 5 star hygiene rating.
Omg they would get soooo ducked if EHO saw this

To be fair that’s her fridge at home right? It’s not like she has to abide by food safety regulations if she is just making food for herself at home... I know I don’t!

But if that’s their fridge at home what does their finch bakery one look like 😂😂 You would hope If a catering business would just do it properly anyway. doesn’t matter if you don’t but as professionals you’d expect them to stick to it all the time out of habit ? But can’t really see them having raw meat in their bakery so I’ll let em off 😂

Thank you for the recommendation of cake tin bakery - had a mini brownie blondie box delivered and have to say the blondies are much richer tasting than FB ( I was a fan of FB and have had many orders in the last 12 months but the last order a few weeks ago was quite dry and I wondered if they using cheaper ingredients)

I forgot to update on my cake tin delivery (thanks to this thread). Wow, absolutely unreal and I will be using them in the future. Although Isabakes stuff looks amazing so will be paying a visit to her shop when it’s open and we are allowed to travel

I run a home bakery and have a separate fridge for personal and baking. My personal fridge goes however I fancy when I unload the shopping 🤷🏼‍♀️ As bakers you don’t handle raw meat (would be concerned if any did tbh) so there’s no habit you need to get into. It’s not as strict as a restaurant for example who have raw, cooked, other stuff. I have 5* hygiene rating and that’s because the only thing that was checked is the temp & that my baked stuff eg brownies that are setting goes at the top and my fridge ingredients are on lower shelves

Anyone else notice how isabakes put some lovely posts up showing the inside of her new shop and then the twins just HAD to write something on their finch bakery page about some wallpaper that they hung in the shop 5 years ago? Why can’t they let Isabelle have her moment?

YES ! And then highlighting the fact that they BOTH typed out separate posts.
Fair enough if it was there 5 year anniversary but they have even said ‘two weeks til 5 years since we opened the shop’

it’s like isabell issaying woohoo nearly opened my shop

and they have to come in with shop unit staff tonnes of brownies and book boom boom.

just let her have her moment this week and post about your 5 year anniversary on your anniversary in two weeks !

I’ve noticed FB aren’t selling out like they used to - I used to miss out so many times on their bakes and now they are posting all over Facebook late at night and early morning about the bakes still available and also the treat boxes which during lockdown were selling out within minutes of uploading.

They are sneaky, sly, passive aggressive witches. I’ve said it for a long time (used to love them!)

I unfollowed a long time but reading these posts I completely agree. I follow isabakes 🌚 and I don’t see why FB can’t just congratulate her and be happy. Isabel is clearly incredibly passionate and hard working, I wonder if they aren’t selling out like before because people who have bought know it’s not worth it and other people are fed up of their unprofessional behaviour so it’s only new customers or those who genuinely like their products.

They’ve also been offering more discounts to clear stock lately including 15% off classic brownies today which were always such a good seller.
