I’ve listened to your advice and got myself pink crystal. It has been a week since I’ve done that and I cannot really describe change it had on me. I feel more relaxed and more positive than before. I don’t know what really pink crystal does, but this is how it changed my daily life. Thank you so much for these tips, they are so appreciated. :)
Your rose quartz crystal is for love (loving yourself too) and protection. I still haven’t posted the photo of mine which is at the centre of my house GF. Its outside on a terrace as my house is double fronted at the front and L shaped at the back. Its great that you have noticed a calming improvement and I’m really happy to hear this. Yay! :m

You've all got me into feng shui! I had a passing interest a while ago.

I have a question: the outlook from the back of my house is onto sports pitches, then beyond onto a horse field in the distance on the south west, and houses about 100m away in the south east.

I have heard that it's bad feng shui to have an open outlook at the back of your house.

Is there any remedy for this? We have planted fruit trees at the back of the garden which are about 13 feet tall now, but don't make much of a difference as they haven't changed the outlook from the top floor.

The land here is very flat so no noticeable change in elevation between my house and the background.

It is south facing, which I've heard is good.

Also any feng shui tips for endometriosis and chronic disorganisation?
Open space behind is not necessarily bad but the ancient Chinese said that you should have a mountain behind you to give support. So you have rightly created a screen of trees and fruit trees are auspicious. The trees will slow down the fast energy coming at your house. I am not sure what a FSM would say about your comments about the view from upstairs. I would say you have screened your GF well though. I think ancient Chinese homes did not have first floor storeys.

The way you have worded you post suggests you may hope for support upstairs. That may mean many different things.

I might look into natural remedies for endometriosis. If it is your wish to get pregnant the colour orange is very auspicious. Maybe put a splash of orange in your bedroom in this case. I think more details for this are back on earlier posts too.

Chronic disorganisation is more about your personal energy. So maybe if you could set an intention to become more organised it may help you. You can do this by creating a quiet space for yourself and focussing on becoming organised. Close you eyes and imagine what the benefits would be if you were organised. Take a few deep breaths when you do this. Also do join in with our clapping for great energy - its a great procrastination shifter as well as a really good energy boost to your immediate surroundings.

Welcome here! Its good to have you with us. Let us know how you get on. :m

I don't know much personally, although what little I do know is that your desk is one item in your house that should be in a command position, so ideally when you sit at your desk you shouldn't sit with your back to the door. I believe this is so that your back is protected, no one could creep up on you. If you can turn the desk so you sit behind it, diagonal or straight facing the door. If this is truly impossible then I would place a mirror in front of you that allows you to glance up and see the doorway. I found this drawing which is quite good.

This is a great diagram! Thanks so much @Pixel Girl!!

I said in an earlier post that when I organised our office I made sure that everyone’s back was facing a wall. This is quite an important thing to observe because a) no one can stab you in the back and b) no one can shock you by their approach. So what you are doing here is protecting yourself which will give much better energy whilst you work at your desk. The picture of mountain on wall is good and if you want to energise more money the imagery of fish is very auspicious too. All the staff had a money plant on their desks. I put lots of seaside painting on the walls in the office also so it felt more like they were on holiday. I ensured it was a light filled space. Everyone loved it, everyone really got on REALLY well and they all did extremely well in their careers (sadly all now working from home but the support and loyalty they continue give is incredible and in some cases their work output has increased!)

This is so interesting! My back is also facing the door at my wfh desk. Not sure whether I will have great lighting if I sit on the other side, but will give it a go.

Back in the office my back is also facing a door and I absolutely hate it. Feel like everyone coming through the door gives my computer screens a good look and even with a privacy screen on my monitors I feel very exposed.

I'm really looking forward to Sunday morning!! I have a full day off from work tomorrow and am planning on giving the kitchen cupboards a good clean and sort out. Also need to go through my clothes/shoes, makeup, toiletries and other bits and bobs to have a good clearout. x
Its so interesting that you say you hate the feeling with your back to the door. THIS is a perfect example of you knowing the energy isn‘t right for you. If you can you should face into a room when at your desk. So two things - are you above to re-jig your wfh office to enable this and can you ask to change your desk at work or sit facing the other way? Try it out for 2 weeks at home and just see if the energy feels better for you. :m

Oh great, thank you. I bought some red coasters for them to sit on but didn’t know if I should talk to them as I put them out 😂

I don’t know about your Dad’s house, someone like Oops would be best to advise. As someone suggested maybe 3 coins under the doormat? I know 3 is an auspicious number and someone else shared on here that they did that with their weekly lottery ticket and won (not millions unfortunately!) so maybe that would help.
Good luck with the sale of your Dad’s house, I hope it all goes smoothly for you. I don’t comment on here often but I read your posts about your Dad, both before and after he passed and I could tell how special he was and how much you love him x
Thank you, that means a lot.
I know I probably mention him more than I should but he’s left a huge gap in my life.
He was a very special man. I was very lucky to be his daughter.
I’ve worked so hard on his house, decluttering but without removing “him”.
On his desk I’ve placed a few books that relate to his life, alongside his glasses and his mug, and in his bedroom on the chest of drawers is his hat that he wore in the summer as if it’s there just waiting for him to pop it on before going out into the garden.
I know most will find that silly but it helps me deal with it.
When I see the estate agent’s photos I want it to still look like his home, not a impersonal show home or even worse like a “probate” house that you can spot a mile off on RightMove. I’m sure you all know the ones I mean - unloved and half empty where it’s starting to be cleared by the family. I just couldn’t do that to the place he loved.
(And there I go again, talking about him more than I should!) 😳

Oh! @PixelGirl - When you have read it again will you share it with us?
Its been hard on all of us since all this fear has been foisted upon us globally. It’s so easy to become down and not really understand why just now.
I was reading recently that empaths who have always been told/accused they were super-sensitive all their lives will now rise as beacons of light with super-power! This cheered me up enormously!

Oh wow. I'm so looking forward to reading more of this thread.

I delved into reading about Feng Shui as a teenager and had read all the books available at the library but life took its toll and I lost interest in pretty much everything for a long time.

I've spent years and years with a chaotic, traumatic lifestyle and ALOT of stuff/hoarding! I did some of the Mari Kondo and felt so much better having less "stuff", that also included unessersary furniture. And only keeping things serving purpose. I instantly felt clean energy flowing through my home and have stripped my home to the basics because the feeling was addictive!

I had bare birch tree wallpaper in my living room for years which was quite "in yer face" and busy on both opposite ends in my living room, it felt claustrophobic and tense. I removed it recently. The energy seems to be flowing through now. It sounds crazy but there have certainly been less disagreements in our household.

I have had ALOT of previous bad luck in this house and I am aware the past tenants had a very chaotic lifestyle too. I am no position to move or have any major structural work as I was very fortunate to get a council property. I have been reading this thread with great interest and wondering on tips for below:

- I have a toilet directly above my front door. The actual toilet basin itself! and another right beside it downstairs. It seems surrounded by toilet and ALL drainage from the kitchen and bathroom sinks! What can be done here without structural rearrangement? I've always been drawn to using the back door for personal visitors and my own access. Front is for formalities and post.

- I have a small porch that's inside the house itself. I can see it from my back gate at my very small back yard. The hallway very narrow and dark with no natural light - I can almost "see" the energy in the air but it certainly isn't positive. Difficult to describe.

- One of the bedrooms at the back was my eldest sons bedroom (they were removed from my care in this very house when I was very troubled). Their room feels me with sadness. What can be done? I went on to have another baby who resided in my care. I have 2 bedrooms to choose from when he moves into his own room. What do I avoid?

- It is a row of terraced houses. The kitchen at the front of the house and living room at back. My kitchen feels better with NO window decoration, curtain or blinds. Is there a reason for this?

- My sister lived with me for a while. She was VERY ill here and suffered from really serious digestive and women's issues. When she moved out her health rapidly improved.

- I still feel like I'm fighting my ex addict demons and get exhausted with them sometimes. Any tips?!?

My problem was that the casualty was one of our most valuable members who actually never said what someone claimed she said. She never said remove politics and religion - ever. She commented on someone else saying it and said maybe that’s a consideration - she only ever said to remove the word -ata-n , and I’m not even going to type the word.
Totally. It's now made me think twice about commenting. Or having to put a disclaimer with my comment. Fingers crossed our darling Oops will be back soon.

Hope you are well x

Just wanted to add my experience of the clapping on Sunday.
I got up, showered and dressed. Although I didn’t put much thought into what to wear so didn’t put on anything particularly nice...I’ll give give this a bit more thought next time.
I clapped all corners, it felt good and felt many different emotions as I was doing it. It helped that the weather was beautiful and was able to keep all of the windows open.
I think I did it all right. I’d like get a smudge stick, for next time.

I’ve been feeling rather anxious over the last few weeks. It sounds silly, but the thought of going back to ‘normal’ and particularly going back to the office, is filing me with dread. I’ve gotten into a nice routine working from home, which I’m really enjoying. I know it’s still months away, but I don’t know how I’m going to cope with the commute to and from work and be around people ALL day. Hoping to feel less nervous about this all.

Fear of posting and get banned
To be fair only one person has been given a temp ban over on that thread because they've already been warned about violent posts and they ignored this and carried on posting them. We have no option in this case as messages like that could be seen to incite violence and could shut down the whole site.

No one gets banned easily, you'd have to have had several warnings and insist on keeping breaking the rules. Rules are boring, but they only exist for everyone's sake and aren't there to zap the fun or anything.

If mods delete the offtopic arguments then people having a pop at us for deleting messages, even though we only do so for everyone's sake to make the threads run well. If we leave them up then the thread becomes a mess. Really can't win on this one.

End of the day, it's a gossip forum. There's always going to be certain topics that people are sensitive to, we can't possibly stop all discussion of all topics that people could take to heart.

What would be best if people stop having a pop at each other, keep scrolling rather than starting arguments and post about what they want to talk about. Be the change you want to see and all that

(Don’t know how I missed your post yesterday but somehow I did - duh) I’m sorry you have been feeling hollow. I am hollow too. It became so important to me over lockdown as well. More than anyone might know tbh. The wonky pheasants were genius. You are a ⭐. You sent out a message that everyone heard and no one took offence to. Diplomacy at its best. The new posts now seem to have a different much gentler or less harsh timbre - I don’t think I am imagining that. So - well done.🤩.

I’m waiting to see how things go. In the meantime I’m trying to coax the elephant in the room to come and join me here in my hot-cupboard. He’s got lovely big ears and I reckon he can fly 🐘💃

@Rubythefirebat - I see you! I CAN see you 🤗. I was wondering if you can find me someone else I have never heard of to to ‘fall in love’ with please?🐎;)
Just seen this 🙄
It wasn't your fault you didn't see my post. There was a problem with it. I could see it here but there were no reactions to it and it was just sitting here. I looked on my activity list and it wasn't there! I decided to report it, even though I thought I had broken a rule, and miraculously it was ok!
I'm with you...I think I was shocked when I realised my dependency on our group and I've felt quite stunned by everything that's happened, but I couldn't have got through Lockdown without you! ❤
PS you must pop across and see Ali's outfit...🤣

I’m so sorry I didn’t reply to your plea for help earlier @Miscanthus ... I cannot imagine how incredibly difficult it must have been for you to read those comments after going through such a heartbreaking struggle.

I think it took a great deal of courage for you to post about something so personal and painful.

PS: I’m sending lots of love your way! ♥
Thank you so much ❤

Interesting thread.
I used to be interested in Feng Shui many years ago but since I moved house I’d not even thought about it.

Re the energy clap on Sunday...
Now this is probably going to sound so stupid but please bear with me as I’m extremely sensitive at the moment.
I lost my dad last month. Last time he was in my home was on Christmas Day.
I’m worried if I do the clap to clear the energy then I’ll be clearing him away at the same time and I couldn’t do that.
Am I being silly? It’s all still very raw right now and I like to feel that he is still around me (even if he’s not) and I don’t want to lose that feeling.
Thank you.

Not at all, it’s lovely to hear and it’s how you keep his memory alive. Keep talking about him all you want, this thread is full of kind hearted people who are delighted to hear about him and help you through your grief. I’ve read lots of posts on here from people who had terrible relationships with their parents and the issues it’s left them with is so sad so it’s wonderful to hear you speak so fondly and with so much love about your Dad ❤
it sounds like you’re doing a brilliant job with his house and he’ll be proud of you I’m sure. I understand your intentions with wanting to make his house look like his home and not some soulless property 💕

Bless you! 💛I don’t think it just happened to me. I think it’s rubbed off on quite a few (exactly what I hoped we could avoid in the first place, sadly). It spirals and then either people leave or it attracts more of the wrong energy/people. I don’t know if anyone saw the avatar (now taken down thankfully) of someone who just joined yesterday morning or maybe the night before. It was heinous; yet a perfect example of what I’m trying to get at. You can actually chart the progress (rather like the kitchen door - whoosh it came in and didn’t stop!) from the time the s word appeared - it was all downhill from there. I had to try and speak up. I truly wasn’t trying to be difficult or a kill-joy - but I know you know that. X
I did see one disturbing avatar. It’s still there, though, so now I’m unsure if it’s the same one. I always feel sick when the word in question is ever mentioned and I feel on-guard like I can’t relax - so we were absolutely on the same page. I know you specifically related it to bad energy so you backed up your point with reason. Lovely to see Namima here last night - what a wonderful support. I’ll most likely give the other thread a break for a day or two and, hopefully, things will rebalance and we can get back to normal.

This thread seems to be dead but I want to drop by and thank for the advice. I've been reading your posts in hopes of making my home a feel good place. After a few weeks of anxiety and feeling stagnant, and two days of intense cleaning which left me feeling anything but refreshed, I tried smudging and clapping. Despite practically uprooting the whole flat, I still felt trapped but after thesmudging, opening the windows and clapping for a good few minutes (my hands were sore), I really felt a weight lifting off my chest. I still don't know if I believe that it was the smudging or just the act of doing something about it, but whatever happened, it helped. I intend to continue! Thank you all :m

I feel the same and I don't even post as much. I am clapping away all the negative energy (especially since I forgot to do it this month) and manifesting/visualising/hoping for oops.
So lovely to see you here 🤗. I love the idea of you clapping that bad energy away. I too haven’t clapped my corners and look what I just found from last time...maybe it’s time to clap and smudge...clap and smudge...clap and smudge;) x

So sorry for the time it’s taken, I got my husband to draw it out on the iPad 😂
It’s very basic but wanted to see if I had the concept right before I went any further. The awful black line at the bottom is the front door.
I understand I should probably mark where drains/kitchen bits are etc!

🤞🏻 It’s done right, i would love to understand my homes energy.

I spoke to my mum about this as she loves to learn new things too, and I remember telling her that our neighbours (we’ve had this house in the family for many years now) have always been very turbulent. There have been 3 sets now and each time it’s a very unhappy family (lots of rows, arguments and issues) so I’m really intrigued to wonder if perhaps the energy of the house is just negative. I’ve always said it’s a miserable home so perhaps learning of this maybe confirms that!

@ChloChlo
This website seems to have a lot of information you can read through, I'm going to have a look through it myself.

There is some information here about challenging bathroom situations on the same website.
I do know that it is important to always keep the bathroom door closed, the good energy escapes your house and enters into your bathroom and is flushed away when the toilet is flushed. ALWAYS keep the toilet lid down, when it's not being used or is being flushed. The bathroom needs to be kept neat and tidy. A thick bathroom rug on the floor will cushion against it being over your front door.

With your son's room, (hopefully you still have some contact with him?) I would empty the room completely, clean thoroughly and redecorate it. You can clear any negative energy from the room, by this I don't mean any energy attributed to your son, but more around the anguish of having your son taken into care and your response to that time. Open all the windows, get the air flowing in there. If it were me I would clear the energy by using sound, I clap my hands or use a singing bowl. There is some information here about ways to clear negative energy. Follow the principles for setting up the room, making sure the foot of the bed when your youngest is ready to go into that room is not facing the door.

I really, really, really want to know more!!!
It’s all so fascinating isn’t it? When I looked at what I wrote in 1993 in my book I was so heartened at how it had all happened as I had written it. I have now spent quite a bit of time this weekend revisiting the playsheets in this book and writing them again for 2021. So I’m now describing the next journeys I want to go on and working out what needs to be done to arrive at the next destination. I now have a completely different destination to what I wrote all those years ago. I have noticed a change and already (probably because I am following my dominant thought) things quite literally are appearing in front of me. For instance I belong to another thread and yesterday 2 members (both very dear to me as it happens - no surprise there ) posted (independently) exactly what I am visualising. It’s there in glorious thechnicolour. So it appeared right in front of my eyes. It’s fascinating and it really spurs me on. I have now decided to spend at least an hour a day on my ‘making things happen‘ endeavour. I’ll keep you posted on how things begin to manifest as they appear...:m

My first post was about us needing to relocate to be close to catchment for senior school & closer to our daughters current middle school, at present our school run is an hrs round trip. I’ve started to walk
& run in the area I like more & a house just came on it’s a real wreck but perfect, we have a viewing Monday. It gave me a push to get ours ready to get straight on the market. Being close to the beach at a lovely seaside town I’m hopeful it will sell quickly. I’ll be rubbing my toad & crystals more 😹.

I really think visualising helps, ive even started a board for the house, oh no what will I do if this doesn’t all come off, but it just feel right 😘🤞🏻.

The new job is going better too, I've been giving myself a right kick up the backside about it x
This is wonderful news 👏. It’s amazing how when you really focus things start to really happen...What a difference it will make when you have a much shorter journey AND start making a different home that you can customise to make it exactly how you have pictured it! I love hearing this stuff. It is so good to know that what started as a germ of an idea is now becoming a reality because you let the focus grow in your mind to bring it about. Sounds to me like you are so much further down the line now (in a relatively short period of time). Keep going and keep telling us what transpires next. Hanging on here to hear the next instalment :m

I started a vision board on Pinterest last night and meditated/visualized it all while listening to music! Hoping it’s as good as a physical vision board 🤞🏼
I must say it felt so relaxing putting it together, one of the few apps I can use without feeling anxiety or comparing myself to other people 😂
I was feeling really low last week everything was getting to me, anyone else feel the same? Is there a planet in retrograde or something?🪐
Mine is on my laptop on a word document. I just googled pictures I wanted and pasted them onto the document. I made sure to open it and look at it at least once a day. But that's a great idea to put on music while creating it.

I was feeling extremely low last week too. And low in general for entire 2020. It was a not so great year, but I am doing my best to learn from it and move on to create a better version of myself. But I believe things will get better. 💕 Reading this thread and learning about all these different techniques to rid of all the negative energy definitely helped me.

Girls, so pleased I tracked you down. How are you? What on earth happened? I feel completely discombobulated. I apologise if I said anything offensive. I wanted to step away but I felt I should start the new thread. There was so much I wanted to write about our lovely group and how we are all different but respect each other's opinions but I ended up not being able to express it.... 😣
