Your rose quartz crystal is for love (loving yourself too) and protection. I still haven’t posted the photo of mine which is at the centre of my house GF. Its outside on a terrace as my house is double fronted at the front and L shaped at the back. Its great that you have noticed a calming improvement and I’m really happy to hear this. Yay!I’ve listened to your advice and got myself pink crystal. It has been a week since I’ve done that and I cannot really describe change it had on me. I feel more relaxed and more positive than before. I don’t know what really pink crystal does, but this is how it changed my daily life. Thank you so much for these tips, they are so appreciated.![]()

Open space behind is not necessarily bad but the ancient Chinese said that you should have a mountain behind you to give support. So you have rightly created a screen of trees and fruit trees are auspicious. The trees will slow down the fast energy coming at your house. I am not sure what a FSM would say about your comments about the view from upstairs. I would say you have screened your GF well though. I think ancient Chinese homes did not have first floor storeys. You've all got me into feng shui! I had a passing interest a while ago.
I have a question: the outlook from the back of my house is onto sports pitches, then beyond onto a horse field in the distance on the south west, and houses about 100m away in the south east.
I have heard that it's bad feng shui to have an open outlook at the back of your house.
Is there any remedy for this? We have planted fruit trees at the back of the garden which are about 13 feet tall now, but don't make much of a difference as they haven't changed the outlook from the top floor.
The land here is very flat so no noticeable change in elevation between my house and the background.
It is south facing, which I've heard is good.
Also any feng shui tips for endometriosis and chronic disorganisation?

This is a great diagram! Thanks so much @Pixel Girl!!I don't know much personally, although what little I do know is that your desk is one item in your house that should be in a command position, so ideally when you sit at your desk you shouldn't sit with your back to the door. I believe this is so that your back is protected, no one could creep up on you. If you can turn the desk so you sit behind it, diagonal or straight facing the door. If this is truly impossible then I would place a mirror in front of you that allows you to glance up and see the doorway. I found this drawing which is quite good.

Its so interesting that you say you hate the feeling with your back to the door. THIS is a perfect example of you knowing the energy isn‘t right for you. If you can you should face into a room when at your desk. So two things - are you above to re-jig your wfh office to enable this and can you ask to change your desk at work or sit facing the other way? Try it out for 2 weeks at home and just see if the energy feels better for you. This is so interesting! My back is also facing the door at my wfh desk. Not sure whether I will have great lighting if I sit on the other side, but will give it a go.
Back in the office my back is also facing a door and I absolutely hate it. Feel like everyone coming through the door gives my computer screens a good look and even with a privacy screen on my monitors I feel very exposed.
I'm really looking forward to Sunday morning!! I have a full day off from work tomorrow and am planning on giving the kitchen cupboards a good clean and sort out. Also need to go through my clothes/shoes, makeup, toiletries and other bits and bobs to have a good clearout. x

Thank you, that means a lot.Oh great, thank you. I bought some red coasters for them to sit on but didn’t know if I should talk to them as I put them out
I don’t know about your Dad’s house, someone like Oops would be best to advise. As someone suggested maybe 3 coins under the doormat? I know 3 is an auspicious number and someone else shared on here that they did that with their weekly lottery ticket and won (not millions unfortunately!) so maybe that would help.
Good luck with the sale of your Dad’s house, I hope it all goes smoothly for you. I don’t comment on here often but I read your posts about your Dad, both before and after he passed and I could tell how special he was and how much you love him x
Totally. It's now made me think twice about commenting. Or having to put a disclaimer with my comment. Fingers crossed our darling Oops will be back soon.My problem was that the casualty was one of our most valuable members who actually never said what someone claimed she said. She never said remove politics and religion - ever. She commented on someone else saying it and said maybe that’s a consideration - she only ever said to remove the word -ata-n , and I’m not even going to type the word.
To be fair only one person has been given a temp ban over on that thread because they've already been warned about violent posts and they ignored this and carried on posting them. We have no option in this case as messages like that could be seen to incite violence and could shut down the whole site.Fear of posting and get banned
Just seen this(Don’t know how I missed your post yesterday but somehow I did - duh) I’m sorry you have been feeling hollow. I am hollow too. It became so important to me over lockdown as well. More than anyone might know tbh. The wonky pheasants were genius. You are a. You sent out a message that everyone heard and no one took offence to. Diplomacy at its best. The new posts now seem to have a different much gentler or less harsh timbre - I don’t think I am imagining that. So - well done.
.
I’m waiting to see how things go. In the meantime I’m trying to coax the elephant in the room to come and join me here in my hot-cupboard. He’s got lovely big ears and I reckon he can fly
@Rubythefirebat - I see you! I CAN see you. I was wondering if you can find me someone else I have never heard of to to ‘fall in love’ with please?

Thank you so muchI’m so sorry I didn’t reply to your plea for help earlier @Miscanthus ... I cannot imagine how incredibly difficult it must have been for you to read those comments after going through such a heartbreaking struggle.
I think it took a great deal of courage for you to post about something so personal and painful.
PS: I’m sending lots of love your way!![]()
Not at all, it’s lovely to hear and it’s how you keep his memory alive. Keep talking about him all you want, this thread is full of kind hearted people who are delighted to hear about him and help you through your grief. I’ve read lots of posts on here from people who had terrible relationships with their parents and the issues it’s left them with is so sad so it’s wonderful to hear you speak so fondly and with so much love about your DadThank you, that means a lot.
I know I probably mention him more than I should but he’s left a huge gap in my life.
He was a very special man. I was very lucky to be his daughter.
I’ve worked so hard on his house, decluttering but without removing “him”.
On his desk I’ve placed a few books that relate to his life, alongside his glasses and his mug, and in his bedroom on the chest of drawers is his hat that he wore in the summer as if it’s there just waiting for him to pop it on before going out into the garden.
I know most will find that silly but it helps me deal with it.
When I see the estate agent’s photos I want it to still look like his home, not a impersonal show home or even worse like a “probate” house that you can spot a mile off on RightMove. I’m sure you all know the ones I mean - unloved and half empty where it’s starting to be cleared by the family. I just couldn’t do that to the place he loved.
(And there I go again, talking about him more than I should!)![]()
I did see one disturbing avatar. It’s still there, though, so now I’m unsure if it’s the same one. I always feel sick when the word in question is ever mentioned and I feel on-guard like I can’t relax - so we were absolutely on the same page. I know you specifically related it to bad energy so you backed up your point with reason. Lovely to see Namima here last night - what a wonderful support. I’ll most likely give the other thread a break for a day or two and, hopefully, things will rebalance and we can get back to normal.Bless you!I don’t think it just happened to me. I think it’s rubbed off on quite a few (exactly what I hoped we could avoid in the first place, sadly). It spirals and then either people leave or it attracts more of the wrong energy/people. I don’t know if anyone saw the avatar (now taken down thankfully) of someone who just joined yesterday morning or maybe the night before. It was heinous; yet a perfect example of what I’m trying to get at. You can actually chart the progress (rather like the kitchen door - whoosh it came in and didn’t stop!) from the time the s word appeared - it was all downhill from there. I had to try and speak up. I truly wasn’t trying to be difficult or a kill-joy - but I know you know that. X

So lovely to see you hereI feel the same and I don't even post as much. I am clapping away all the negative energy (especially since I forgot to do it this month) and manifesting/visualising/hoping for oops.
@ChloChloOh wow. I'm so looking forward to reading more of this thread.
I delved into reading about Feng Shui as a teenager and had read all the books available at the library but life took its toll and I lost interest in pretty much everything for a long time.
I've spent years and years with a chaotic, traumatic lifestyle and ALOT of stuff/hoarding! I did some of the Mari Kondo and felt so much better having less "stuff", that also included unessersary furniture. And only keeping things serving purpose. I instantly felt clean energy flowing through my home and have stripped my home to the basics because the feeling was addictive!
I had bare birch tree wallpaper in my living room for years which was quite "in yer face" and busy on both opposite ends in my living room, it felt claustrophobic and tense. I removed it recently. The energy seems to be flowing through now. It sounds crazy but there have certainly been less disagreements in our household.
I have had ALOT of previous bad luck in this house and I am aware the past tenants had a very chaotic lifestyle too. I am no position to move or have any major structural work as I was very fortunate to get a council property. I have been reading this thread with great interest and wondering on tips for below:
- I have a toilet directly above my front door. The actual toilet basin itself! and another right beside it downstairs. It seems surrounded by toilet and ALL drainage from the kitchen and bathroom sinks! What can be done here without structural rearrangement? I've always been drawn to using the back door for personal visitors and my own access. Front is for formalities and post.
- I have a small porch that's inside the house itself. I can see it from my back gate at my very small back yard. The hallway very narrow and dark with no natural light - I can almost "see" the energy in the air but it certainly isn't positive. Difficult to describe.
- One of the bedrooms at the back was my eldest sons bedroom (they were removed from my care in this very house when I was very troubled). Their room feels me with sadness. What can be done? I went on to have another baby who resided in my care. I have 2 bedrooms to choose from when he moves into his own room. What do I avoid?
- It is a row of terraced houses. The kitchen at the front of the house and living room at back. My kitchen feels better with NO window decoration, curtain or blinds. Is there a reason for this?
- My sister lived with me for a while. She was VERY ill here and suffered from really serious digestive and women's issues. When she moved out her health rapidly improved.
- I still feel like I'm fighting my ex addict demons and get exhausted with them sometimes. Any tips?!?
It’s all so fascinating isn’t it? When I looked at what I wrote in 1993 in my book I was so heartened at how it had all happened as I had written it. I have now spent quite a bit of time this weekend revisiting the playsheets in this book and writing them again for 2021. So I’m now describing the next journeys I want to go on and working out what needs to be done to arrive at the next destination. I now have a completely different destination to what I wrote all those years ago. I have noticed a change and already (probably because I am following my dominant thought) things quite literally are appearing in front of me. For instance I belong to another thread and yesterday 2 members (both very dear to me as it happens - no surprise there ) posted (independently) exactly what I am visualising. It’s there in glorious thechnicolour. So it appeared right in front of my eyes. It’s fascinating and it really spurs me on. I have now decided to spend at least an hour a day on my ‘making things happen‘ endeavour. I’ll keep you posted on how things begin to manifest as they appear...I really, really, really want to know more!!!

This is wonderful newsMy first post was about us needing to relocate to be close to catchment for senior school & closer to our daughters current middle school, at present our school run is an hrs round trip. I’ve started to walk
& run in the area I like more & a house just came on it’s a real wreck but perfect, we have a viewing Monday. It gave me a push to get ours ready to get straight on the market. Being close to the beach at a lovely seaside town I’m hopeful it will sell quickly. I’ll be rubbing my toad & crystals more.
I really think visualising helps, ive even started a board for the house, oh no what will I do if this doesn’t all come off, but it just feel right.
The new job is going better too, I've been giving myself a right kick up the backside about it x

Mine is on my laptop on a word document. I just googled pictures I wanted and pasted them onto the document. I made sure to open it and look at it at least once a day. But that's a great idea to put on music while creating it.I started a vision board on Pinterest last night and meditated/visualized it all while listening to music! Hoping it’s as good as a physical vision board
I must say it felt so relaxing putting it together, one of the few apps I can use without feeling anxiety or comparing myself to other people
I was feeling really low last week everything was getting to me, anyone else feel the same? Is there a planet in retrograde or something?🪐
