Thank you for all your kind words.
I don't think I’ll do it this weekend but perhaps next month I’ll feel more able - I think you said it would be a monthly thing.
Dad was disabled so he has never been upstairs in this house and at Christmas he was just in our living room and dining room. I think perhaps it’s too soon for me.
He was such an optimistic and positive man.
I am a pessimist by nature so I want to change and be more like him which is why I don’t want to lose his positivity. 🥰

I have never bought a crystal from a website so am unable to suggest anywhere sadly. All of mine I have bought in person, I've held each one in my hands, felt the energy of the piece and chosen based on that. If you have a good crystal shop near to where you live then that would be a good option unless someone else can make a suggestion.

When my ex-husband left our home I cleansed the energy in the house, it had become quite 'crunchy' and incredibly flat, it made such a difference. I sold that house and bought the house I am in now and the first thing I did was clear all the previous energy out of the house. I have lost touch over lockdown and the past couple of years with my energy work. I shall start again, and for this thread, I am very grateful. I will, of course, send energy to our thread and to each of us in here ♥
OOOH! That sounds so perfect thank you for that. This will give us a good energy space to meet in. I love that. Do you clap your corners? I used to years ago but don’t do it in my present house as it would take too long and my ceilings are fairly high. I remember knowing a lovely Reiki Master years ago and she showed me how to clap my corners to clear the energy and she smudged sage in every room. Her energy was wonderful and the house I lived in then felt so amazing afterwards. In fact as I am writing this it makes me want to do that again here as I remember how happy I felt.

I really get what you are saying about clearing flat energy or residues from others who may have caused negative energy in our surroundings. INTENTION is such a powerful energy.

Speaking generally - I think its important to not see an area in your home that may not be working as an insurmountable problem. There are Feng Shui/energy cures for most things. For instance if you live at the end of a cul-de-sac you can introduce moving water to improve the energy. You can use convex mirrors or bagua mirrors to reflect stagnant energy away. You can even use plants with height outside.

Will you tell us how things go once you start doing your energy work again? Do you work with white light? When my children started driving or were going on planes I used to send them off in a protective bubble of white light. My dog can barely move for all the light I send him but he is nearly 16! It’s worked so far and I have no intention of stopping.

@Gertrude, I have been told that you should get stones that look and feel right to you. I on the other hand have chosen all mine from eBay and loved them when they arrived. It’s hard to actually go into a shop at the moment to see which stones speak to you isn’t it? So if they speak to you from eBay then they will be fine I would think. Don’t know what any one else thinks about that. ♥

I’ve been doing some research on house selling. I read that you should draw a picture of the house, write “sold” on it and the price you want to sell it for and place it under the front door mat. That way you are setting your intentions to all those who cross the threshold. I’m going to try it because it is out of sight to prospective buyers.
Could you do that because it’s easy to post and then ask someone to place it there?
I also read that you should place any “for sale”” sign to the right side of the front door as you look at the property from the outside,
I’m also going to place a money toad by the front door, facing inwards.
I‘ve read conflicting views re the coins under the door mat - some say it is negative because you are walking over it.
What do you all think?
Apolgies for quoting myself.
Well I placed a ”sold” picture in a red envelope under Dad’s doormat along with a money toad by the front door.
We had one offer after 6 days which we declined and another offer after 13 days which we accepted. Sold it for the price our estate agent said it was worth so we are pleased with that. Bittersweet, though.

I hadn’t heard of that cure before, I have only heard of a round mirror placed under the bed face down. I would do that anyway for any bedroom over a kitchen. I’d definitely read up on flutes though. I know you can buy them on eBay. Or you could buy decoupage flutes and stick them on and add red ribbon if that imagery works better for you.
A beam directly over your bed symbolises fracture and arguments. If you have a great relationship anyway then clearly its all good and I wouldn’t give it a second thought. If its on your mind though are you able to swap bedrooms at all?

Side note - (when Lydia started talking about beams I really hoped she wouldn’t and thought to myself beams are the last thing she needs)
oo that's really interesting thank you! It's funny you mention the arguments as me and my husband NEVER really argued for 12 years, then the minute we moved into this house and for the last 4 years, we have had loads of arguments over ridiculous stuff! The trouble is, all the bedrooms have these big beams in them, some have 2 or 3 and they're all in the position where the beds normally go. I'll definitely look into the wooden flutes or decoupage ones. Also going to get a round mirror under the bed too!

Is anyone averse to doing our group Clap for Great Energy at 11 am on Sunday morning please?

Not sure what time this will be if you are in a different country. If its silly o’clock where you are don’t let that get in the way of you clapping at a time that’s better for you of course.

I managed to part with some shoes today and managed to reorganise a few cupboards and other bits and bobs. It’s a start. Tomorrow I am making sure all the grids and drains outside are clear of debris and leaves etc...I am sure this is thrilling news :m

Hope you are well x

Just wanted to add my experience of the clapping on Sunday.
I got up, showered and dressed. Although I didn’t put much thought into what to wear so didn’t put on anything particularly nice...I’ll give give this a bit more thought next time.
I clapped all corners, it felt good and felt many different emotions as I was doing it. It helped that the weather was beautiful and was able to keep all of the windows open.
I think I did it all right. I’d like get a smudge stick, for next time.

I’ve been feeling rather anxious over the last few weeks. It sounds silly, but the thought of going back to ‘normal’ and particularly going back to the office, is filing me with dread. I’ve gotten into a nice routine working from home, which I’m really enjoying. I know it’s still months away, but I don’t know how I’m going to cope with the commute to and from work and be around people ALL day. Hoping to feel less nervous about this all.
So interesting that you felt many emotions whilst you were clapping. Clearly your focus was very intent and it sounds to me like you did it very well. The effects should carry on with you for a little while as you have created a bit of a re-set now and may find this overlaps and insinuates itself into clearer thinking in other areas of your life. I have decided to do my next clap at the beginning of October or sooner if I start to feel a bit stuck. Having done it this time you will sense when you need to do it again. SO glad it felt good for you to do it. 💛

I think you may be feeling what so many others are starting to feel vis going back to work. Are you able to entertain the thought of setting an intention to enjoying your work when you go back at all? Is it the work (I know your desk isn't in the right place at all) or is it the commute which makes you most anxious? Are you able to ask your employers if they would mind you carrying on working from home btw? If anyone who worked with me wrote and asked me that question I would definitely give it consideration. Perhaps you might say to them that you would be happy to attend zoom meetings but feel you are more productive at home and feel you have a great deal to offer them without the distractions of the office...you might cite the fact that you feel very over-looked at your desk. I am not trying to put words into your mouth of course but a lot of employers will have noticed an increase of productivity when workmates are working from home. (A strange anomaly which no-one might have imagined pre-Covid). It’s all dependent on the nature of your work of course and how much your employer values you and what you do for them. If yOu added up your total commute time there and back and halved it and then offered to donate that time to them that may help them consider your preference.I say donate because it’s against employment law to change someone’s contract of employment so your charitable donation to giving them some ‘free‘ work might not complicate matters for your HR department if it was suggested in that way. Just trying to think a little differently. I’m sure there’s a way through this...Do you have work colleagues who might feel the same way? Maybe if there are you might feel safer jointly approaching your employers on that basis perhaps...Just a few ideas...:m

Well I think the clapping has done something here. We usually have a very peaceful household, so that hasn't changed. Yesterday evening after the morning clapping, we had Chinese takeaway and drinks. I hadn't had alcohol in a while and felt it intensely, remembering after the fact that it will invariably wake me up at 3am (thank you perimenopause - FML). Anyhow, I did wake up at 3am as expected. But instead of feeling irked like I would normally, I did not feel the anxiety that I would normally feel. Thoughts about lost sleep meaning a harder Monday, etc. Instead, my thoughts automatically went to positive ones and I drifted back to sleep. New puppy woke up at 5am to go out, took him out and returned him to his crate, and went back to bed. Again this is normal.

However, what wasn't normal is I didn't feel anxiety like I would have this morning. The gardner was due and I had a million things to do which would usually leave me feeling scattered. But I wasn't feeling scattered at all. Even the day itself, well it's been an amazing day. Lots of boring chores, work, puppy chores, etc. But I've felt so calm and peaceful. I think it was the clapping.

Thank you to everyone. I had never heard of clapping corners. At minimum all this Feng Shui talk has made me more conscious of my surroundings, my thoughts, my frequency, per se. I feel like I'm being a better worker, wife, mother, sister, daughter, as a result.

And the new puppy had his first pedicure today! LOL I expected a hassle, as I've yet to meet a puppy that enjoys the process. He struggled, he's ticklish, and wasn't having it. But we overcame, I outsmarted him, and his nails are beautifully smooth thanks to the Dremel. (If LEM is reading this, please trim Porter's nails! LOL)
YAY! It’s CLEARLY working - you have had the overspill effect already! That’s brilliant news 💛 I need to work harder on my frequency - I know that but the clapping has really highlighted that to me. So maybe when you are conscious of it you can start to do something about it. Great result - sounds like you are steaming ahead what with this and your money toad and of course the ‘little soul‘ who sounds so perfect!! You got him at EXACTLY the right time!:m🐶

I knew we were separated at birth! I have everything ironed too. I didn’t know you were a Reiki Master but I knew you were spiritual and incredibly kind when you helped me SO much with collating Fur Babies. ♥ - Would you send our thread some fabulous healing for all who need it please and as a blessing for all who find us here? What you are doing is a wonderful thing. Truly. It will help so many and such a powerful act of kindness.

In the morning I will take a photo of my rose quartz and post it for you to see. I was told to clean it in moonlight but can never remember if he told me at full moon or a new moon. As its outside I guess it benefits from both. It’s great to have in your bedroom as well as the centre of your house. I will try at some stage to do some diagrams showing how to measure correctly so everyone can get the exact central point. It can be confusing if your house is an irregular shape.

You can do ‘journeys’ in your home holding rose quartz and concentrating on the question you are asking. Say from N-S or other directions depending on what area your question lies. It’s good for focus. You are supposed to do it with little tIny stones dropping them off when you get to the area. I have tried doing that but have found it equally effective holding a larger pink quartz and walking backwards and forwards with it (Another one for never did I ever think I would write that sentence) .
When considering a house for central point purposes do you include an attached garage in the calculations?

@Oops... So if a house is open plan, with no stairs, where should a money frog be placed? I'm reading up but am confused about placement.

Found this:
Traditionally, the money frog should be placed in a home's energetic center of money. In classical feng shui, this is the southeast corner of your space. And in BTB (or Western) feng shui, it's the top lefthand area of your space as viewed on a floor plan.

The southeast corner of my house is a child's bedroom, and they aren't supposed to be in bedrooms, right? The top lefthand area is a garage that is attached to the house. Or am I being too literal and the frog needs to be in a living space only and orientation/measurements taken from that space?

Can money frogs from amazon really work? Do they need to be from a more "pure", less mass produced source?

I'm so confused. Help?

@Oops... I am so glad to see you are still here. And some other familiar names too. I am not going to post on a certain thread any more, things took a very odd turn. Sending you lots of love.
I returned this morning to the other thread. I certainly agree that things took a nasty turn. I’m not quiet ready to leave, though, and certain folks I just love there - Miscanthus, Namima, Julia to name a few. I will keep alert and any hint of that bad energy that affected us - I will be gone. I feel like I’m always welcome here and it’s a place of trust so I don’t feel like I’m choosing in any way. Sending all of you lots love this Monday morning. ❤

Eta We are all diversifying a little bit too which is healthy - I joined the Aldi and Lidl thread snd so have Miscanthus, Namima and Coconochanel.

*****POSITIVITY****

You asked earlier if it was a possibility I could move. Well, as said my life went into serious turmoil after escaping my 2nd husband. I ran 250 miles away from domestic violence. I was stabbed, tortured in a Marsh land and held over a quarry infront of my children. I don't want to spoil the positivity with my past but I just wanted to give you a small insight of just why I'm so grateful!!!! An exchange felt like an impossibility to me until today, as after ending up a drug addict my arrears ended up over £2000, I was so scatty and didn't realise until I got my life back into order last year. But I'm in so much other debt... I was struggling to pay everything off. And decorate and carpet this house, it still isn't all floored. I checked on my arrears today, because the amount has always scared me, depressed me.

I thought it would still be at least £900, it was £36 in arrears!!! Oh my. I can exchange now! Because I'm in a rock and a hard place. My children either want me to move 300 miles where they are with my first ex mother in law or... they are allowed to come home if I do move!! As my children have stated they don't want to come back to this particular house and would need their own rooms because of what they have suffered they need their own space.

I thought it would take another 2 years to pay off! I thought of this thread straight away! I can be reunited with my older children. My baby boy with his older brothers much sooner.

There is a whole weight gone. 🥰 thankyou all my love.

The lady trying for a baby... I've sent lots of hope to you. When I did, I just pictured a little baby boy. You will be a mum soon! ❤
I'm so happy for you!!!! Keep going. Life can be a total bag of dicks, but we survive, we keep going, one day at a time. This too shall pass, and all that jazz. A term I used to loathe, but that brings me so much comfort as I've gotten older.

You are so strong! How lucky your kids are to have such an amazing warrior mum. So much experience and empathy. Seriously, I am so excited for you. 💞💞💞💞💞💞

I’m working my way through this thread slowly, it’s very interesting. The house I currently live in was build by a Chinese couple who build it around Feng Shui. I even have koi fish to the left of the front door, my stairs turn instead of facing (running out)the front door.

you can download a feng shui app/ compass which will tell you the bast place to put the bed, mirror etc

I have long Chinese bamboo. I buy around Chinese New Year. I hang red ribbons or red symbols and put it in an auspicious area in my home. It’s been good for us. People may think it’s mumbo jumbo.... I’m holding on to it as it’s good 🎋
You are SO lucky having a house already set up following Feng Shui principles @Libbylulu . WOW! You’ll be streaks ahead. The app sounds great and should help a lot of people. If you are a follower it’s brilliant if you’re not maybe it’s mumbo jumbo. As a critical thinker, I judge by results. I got them - so it’s not mumbo jumbo. Simples...🙂

edit. Years ago HSBC bank in a city in China were not doing well. They got a Feng ~Shui Master in and he recommended to turn the stairs so they did not face the doors. All their money was running straight out of the doors. This meant a costly re-fit but they did it nevertheless. Look at them now. Just sayin’ 😄

I think I did it? I clapped and clapped, holding my arms up and then bending down to clap the bottoms of the corners (is that a thing??), and then started laughing and laughing. I should have put the new puppy outside or something. In my new puppy exhaustion I completely forgot the point of him not being around whilst his mummy clapped the bad energy out. He thought it was fantastic though, standing up next to me and jumping around.

I may try again tomorrow. I hadn't thought to wear something purifying (like white). Sounds like a good idea. Might even put lipstick on, haven't done that in a year!

So I don't know if I did it right, but I do feel joyful, hence I'm counting it a win.

p.s. I really feel like I could feel everyone else's intentions. Might be fanciful thinking or I'm hormonal or something. But still, I felt *something*.

Your posts were deleted ? Wow. And Oops addressed the matter in a really non-confrontational polite manner, to the point. Things just went sideways.
My problem was that the casualty was one of our most valuable members who actually never said what someone claimed she said. She never said remove politics and religion - ever. She commented on someone else saying it and said maybe that’s a consideration - she only ever said to remove the word -ata-n , and I’m not even going to type the word.

I will take your offerings on any topic. Please know how much your posts mean to me. From your beautiful poetry, imaginative posts, to the gentle wisdom you share with us all. Plus, you have style for miles. Love seeing your rooms and lovely pup.
I was so touched by your post. Truly 💛 . Also, it has INSPIRED me! I had a 💡 moment! I am absolutely mad about Interiors. They give me so much joy. Also, so do animals. I KNOW I’m not the only one. Maybe we could have a new topic thread where we could all share snapshots of some of our own interiors maybe or interiors we really like the look of AND our own pets! I am thinking it could maybe be called ‘Vignettes and Pets...’ I could write poems and songs about the pets again - I LOVE doing that and ANYONE else who wanted to could too. :m

The best part of Fur Babies (for me) was seeing the photos and hearing about the characteristics of everyone’s beloved pets. The mixture of sadness and joy of the Rainbow Bridge Babies (I bawled my eyes out writing some of them) and the feel-good factor of us all sharing them. So combining the two might give us a really happy, joyful site to visit and share together...So we’d have Feng Shui here and Interiors and Pets there; Whadderya’ think? If you like the idea I can set up a new thread tomorrow.

💃 ...this is me doing a giggle-fandango at the thought of it...:m

I’m still working my way through this interesting thread. You all seem like such lovely people, I’m so glad I found you. Please excuse me if these questions have been asked before.... what is Lydia’s Thread and if I wanted to improve my health can you suggest something to put in my health area? I’m suffering dreadfully with the menopause, it’s beating me sideways, so any help would so appreciated. Also, financially we take three steps forward and two back and it’s been like this for years
💗😘
Have you had a panel (of bloods) done? If not, it might be worthwhile doing to understand if you're lacking in anything.

For menopause, I'm finding collagen and spirulina very helpful. I take both in powder form - the collagen is chocolate flavoured so I make a smoothie with banana and oat, soy or lactose-free milk, put a couple of tablespoons of the collagen in, and then a teaspoon of the spirulina. The colour is something else but the flavour is palatable. I find this concoction helps with my memory issues and I apparently look well-rested (even though I'm not). It was working well for joint pain too but today has been particularly cold in my part of the world and the arthritis has taken over.

I think I may have responded to you in the saging thread ... one of the keys for abundance is a clear, clean, space ... wealth and abundance is attracted to cleanliness. Declutter and minimalise as much as you're able to which will also give you a psychological shift. I personally believe stagnant energy attracts itself to old papers - books, magazines, bills, etc. If you must keep all that stuff, put it in folders in a box. Otherwise, take a photo to remember it by and get rid of it. Then start looking to what crystals and other tools can be of help. As a starting point, get a couple of money trees / jade plants and pot them in green ceramic pots either just outside, or inside, your front door. If you can't find jade plants, bay leaf plants also work well. And, if you can, paint your front door either red or green. I would tend to go to red as a signal to the universe that you want to welcome the money in; but I have heard others benefit greatly from green as a way of inviting new opportunities. Do what feels right to you.

Yeah that's the problem with Etsy, the stuff on their is lovely but it takes ages to arrive.
I live not too far from Brighton, and there are some lovely shops that sell crystals and things, but who knows when they'll be allowed to open again (or if they've even survived lockdown) Like yourself, I used to often look inside these shops and wonder whether they 'work'.

Not sure what the rules are for linking online shops on here (sorry if I'm breaking any rules) but I've been looking at this place https://www.thepsychictree.co.uk/ they have some lovely crystals.
Lovely website, you’re right. Love the rose quartz pieces. Unfortunately, their shipping outside of the UK will incur customs charges for me so I’ve ordered the money frog/toad from Amazon and some rose quartz from holisticme.com to get started. Just read that the money toad should never be left on the floor and should never be too raised too high on a table but rather at the same height as your pockets so the money can pour in! So fascinating! Plus, can be placed near front door facing in, and office desk that may hold financial papers. Am so excited to learn more.

ETA That sounds greedy. Eek!

I’ve ordered a few Feng Shui things today;
Ba Gua mirror for by the front door
Money frog
Buddha
2 protection talismans*

*apparently each Chinese animal has another Chinese animal as its protector.
I’m a Dog and my protector is a Rabbit so I needed to buy Rabbit talismans.
When I looked up my Dad’s Chinese animal, I discovered he was a Rabbit!
My Dad was my protector in more ways than one. ☺
