My FSM advised I put mine on the stairs at pocket height (part of my stairs face the front door). You can also put them in your wealth corners to activate the energy there. When you place yours (since you say retaining money can be a little hard for you) tell him you particularly need help with keeping your money as you set your intention to activate him. You might also want to put some imagery of a turtle at your back door facing inwards towards the door. He’s a great protector. I bought a stone tortoise from the garden centre. I’ll try to take a photo of him later and put it up here. Since your house is built on Feng Shui principles it may be likely that all you need is a bit of tweaking here and there. I’m so fascinated to hear how it goes for you.

I think with the money toads they need something red on them to “activate” them. So either a red ribbon tied to it, although some have red eyes or are red anyway are so already activated or you could sit it on a red piece of paper.

Speaking of money toads, we are about to put my Dad’s house on the market. We’ve cleaned and decluttered throughout but is it worth placing a money toad in the hallway, facing away from the front door so that it invites in money/offers? I’ve not done anything Feng Shui based in Dad’s house so any small (and discreet) ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

Maybe put some coins near the front door?

It sounds to me like you have a natural feel for the energy in your home anyway if you already don’t do clutter - which is brilliant. If you OH is putting anything under beds decorate a lovely box for them ( one you won’t mind looking at) and put all the under bed stuff in the nicely decorated box. A thick cardboard box decorated with decoupage that you like and glued on...a) it’s a nice project, b) shows you care, c) you hav3 created a nice solution. The energy under a bed is very important to keep unhindered because that’s where you rest. Just to say that your front door is the mouth of your house so it’s very important to keep it very clean and fresh and to have live plants if it’s possible. If you don’t mind having an ornament as opposed to a picture you could buy a money toad and sit him on the stairs. This will enhance your finances too. Here’s a photo of mine ( from eBay). He’s crystal glass but you can get other toads made from different fibres such as metal etc if you like the look of them more. My feng shui master told me to have him facing the wrong way at weekends to give him a rest and also to give him 4 weeks holiday a year. I thought that was a bit daft ( actually I always forget is more the truth) so mine works all the time! He’s on the fifth stair up (pocket height).

I really do feel like I can feel the energy at home sometimes, especially after other people have been in. So I do also try and sage when i can. But I'm going to follow all of what you said. Our house has been on the market since Sept and I'm desperate to get it sold! Xxx

I asked if it felt rushed to you because I have a friend who practises Criminal Law who is at her wits end at the moment because of the backlog of cases which are now starting to be processed through the courts ‘Post Covid”. She has suggested (although I have no experience in this and so can’t confirm if it is the case with any certainty) that the due diligence and proper examination of cases might have to be sacrificed for the sake of speeding up backlogs. She is worried some of her clients may not get the full justice they are entitled to having had such extended waits to actually have their cases heard. I do hope this wasn’t the case for you. Although yours wasn’t a Criminal case.

It’s all sounding a little unfair. So sorry you didn’t win your case. According to the adverts that keep coming up on this thread from time to time you can win a house with Omaze at the moment Btw. Does anyone has a tip how to clean a place from bad energy without painting and moving furniture? It is a hotel, so it is not an option. I was thinking about maybe flowers would help.
I personally do not believe in ghost, but there was a guy who came and cleaned them, but I think nothing changed. The place is generally great, but there is some part with few rooms which has a bad vibe. Others swears for ghost. For me it is somehow creepy quiet. It is not because of how it is built, because all the rooms are on the same side. But in these "bad" rooms, I can't really explain it, but you can hear the cars less(?) and it has a heavy feeling. Every time I leave this part and step over the hallway door I feel relief, and feel alive!

White sage bundles ... Palo Santo ... both will shift the energy. But if the areas are haunted maybe it's worthwhile making friends with the ghosts as it was probably their home first. A psychic medium would be able to help you communicate with them.

Here’s my talisman.
Photographed it next to my donor card to show scale (donor card is same size as a credit card and driving license but obvs didn’t want to photograph those!)
It’s made of thin metal so not too heavy.
I’ve just slotted it into my mobile phone case.

Oh yes! I know what you mean! I can pick up on energy too. I could when I was little too. Have you tried seeing yourself in a new house and thinking about the lovely feeling living in your new house will give you? That will then fill you with the energy of having moved and feeling happy about the move. When that energy comes from you the sale of your own house is more likely. Thank your present home for all the lovely shelter it has given you and all the pleasant events it has hosted for you and tell it it now has new people to look forward to. This is all very quantum field stuff but that’s what happens with energy. It’s a totally fascinating subject. I can bore for England on it... xx

So agree. I’m so happy, also, that @Oops has explained that we don’t have to do everything that the FSM said. I love that she said she didn’t want the diagonal desk or the water feature in her study. You know, we can make changes without it in any way jarring with our own plan for the room. X

People can get a bit carried away with precision over direction and it takes a Feng Shui Master to actually work out the correct co-ordinates precisely Using a compass. So for simplicity’s sake if you hold the bagua in front of you standing in the doorway of a room this shows you where your wealth corner is, your relationship corner etc etc etc. So if you want a better relationship for instance place twos of items in that area. If you want more prosperity the SE corner is a good place for your money toad or coins. I have a gold bowl with chinese FS coins in mine for example. You might want to put your money toad there if you like it or a money plant etc.

Also you can overlay the bagua on each floor of your house so it could show you where to place children’s rooms or the best place for your own bedroom etc..

OMG I had been placing things according to actual compass directions. So the Bagua is to be used from the front door, regardless if the house faces South?

Hello Everyone

This thread has very good Feng Shui, it feels very good to be here, don't you think?

Today I wanted to add some Feng Shui elements to the different areas, but I got confused.
Do I apply the Bagua map to the whole flat or to individual rooms?

My Flat is kind of L-shaped.
The entrance door opens to a small hallway and straight ahead is the living room (fairly large) with a balcony.
Right from the entrance door is the kitchen, and then behind that (already after the entrance door) the bathroom and then the bedroom.
Maybe it would be best if I attach a picture?

I am confused if I should treat each room as a separate area with the different corners or if the Bagua map refers to the flat as a whole (in which case some areas seem to be outside the map).
I watched some videos and looked at some websites but couldn't figure it out. It seems that both applies at the same time?

You do need to err on the side of caution when following advice of others on this topic because, as an example, I've seen mention of the money toad bringing good fortune. Well, that's certainly the case, so long as you don't have it facing your entrance door or outside, or else all your money will escape. Plus, you shouldn't put all your faith in this one charm turning your fortunes around. Feng Shui is a practice that takes a lot of hard work and education to achieve. Equip yourself with as much research as possible before investing in any tools/charms or making any radical changes, or else it's all a waste of money and effort.
