Oh no, not at all. I just thought it was a lovely idea to get dressed nicely and put a but of makeup on. I've not had any excuse to do that for a while

Ahh, I am terrible when it comes to looking at my phone and ipad before I (try to) go to sleep. I like to cosy up in bed an hour or so before and just browse and Tattle . Totally unnecessary as I can do all that in the living room. I'll try to let go of this habit and instead just read in bed. Like you mentioned though, it is a hard one to give up as we are all glued to our devices now. xx

Tell me about it! Best part of the day was snuggling up in bed and scrolling...I am hoping last night wasn’t a one off and I repeat the good sleep tonight. I thought the same about dressing nicely and looking more like the old me too

I looked at this sight and also have the Bagua map, but I still couldn't figure it out.

If I stand in the entrance door to the flat, the bathroom and bedroom are behind it on the right side.
Does it mean the corners on the right side stretch out to the bedroom?
Or would it be best to treat each room a separate space with the separate corners?

I was confused as well before. I read this thread multiple times. But I ended up using the entire flat as general overview. Placed a crystal in the middle of the house/flat. Did the clapping and lots of incense sticks. Activated my little toad. Then I used a bagua for each individual rooms. For my bedroom, I made sure that my bed is facing my "good" direction. I avoided all the "bad" directions. Then I added items based on what I wanted to focus on. In my little work corner, I made sure to face my "good" direction and added the colours and items from the spruce website. I didn't follow to the exact detail because it was too overwhelming for me. I just improvised.

Hi there,

I love this thread, I’ve read it a couple of times and I’ve learnt so much - thank you all for everything you share.

Can I ask a couple of questions please? I’ve bought some money toads (and have had two lots of good financial news despite them still being in their boxes!) and wanted to ask how I go about setting their intentions when I put them on display in the house? Are there certain words I should say or a little ritual to do?

Also, the rose quartz crystal in the centre of my home, does it have to be hanging or could it be placed on a shelf?

OOOhhhh this is ALL so fascinating to me and something I'd never really thought about before coming across it on the Lydia thread! I'm half chinese and feel like this is definitely something I am missing in my life! We're just about to extend and renovate our house and something I definitely want to get right. Already ordered the lucky frog/toad and am loving all the tips in this thread so far!

Is there a book you can recommend that covers the basic principles well? I've had a look on amazon but they all sound very similar and without any knowledge of it all I dont really know which ones to go for/trust. Thank you!

That is SUCH a great idea. Imagine yourself walking up to your new house and opening the door. Take your time and observe even the smallest detail in your new home. That energy will then be the energy you vibrate on. The more often you do it the more that vibration will grow. So you can imagine it spinning in a vortex. Apart from anything else it’s a such a fun thing to do. It makes you smile just thinking about it. Ask your little boy how he imagines his new house and his new room ( if he’s old enough to be able to say that to you - if he isn’t ask him anyway and then try to imagine it yourself!]

Yessss!!! I love this idea!!! I honestly feel better already about it all, because I was getting abit down that we hadn't had much interest in recent weeks.

I had to sell my Dad's house, so I know how you feel, my condolences to you.
I think it's lovely that you left some of his possessions in the house, when it was being viewed.
I've had my offer accepted on a house, which is a probate sale, and the family have included the contents, which are nearly new because the poor lady died only a couple of years after moving in.
There's a nice cosy atmosphere in the house, I got a real sense of the lady. I'm sure people viewing your Dad's house had the same nice feeling.
I have a feng shui question to anyone on here The house I'm about to buy has a road leading up towards the front of the house, not directly up to it, my house would be a further along.
The house is kind of at a crossroads but a couple of doors down from the junctions, if that makes sense!
I think that a road leading right up to your front door is meant to be bad luck and you should have a mirror at the front of your house to deflect, is that right?
Is being near a crossroads bad luck too, just wondering what people think please? Ta!

Sorry to hear that.
Many years ago we lost a court case.
We told the truth under oath and he lied.
It made me view the legal system completely differently - it all depends on the judge you’re allocated sadly.
I’d prefer to lose by being honest than win by lying.
Even though we lost, it was a relief that it was finally over and a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulders.
He will get his comeuppance one day I’m sure.

When you say facing towards the house, you do mean in the house don't you? I would keep him indoors in case he goes walkies on your front steps (if you have them). Other than that, yes position him in the house at pocket level, facing away from the front door. Every so often give him some time off, a weekend, or a day, whatever suits you best.

I have a metal toad on a cabinet by my front door but I thought it had to face inwards (it has a coin in it’s mouth) - am I wrong?

My FS Master told me to put mine on the stairs facing the front door as a cure for my stairs facing the front door (money running out of house). I too have a metal one with a coin in its mouth in my sitting room. I just preferred the crystal one for the hall as it’s not as visible for where it needed to be placed.

You daughter is very talented but - and please do not take this the wrong way - that picture is not good Feng Shui. The word that comes to mind is, "trapped"

Do you have any feng shui guidance for legal matters?
I have a case that is being heard next week and a few other matters that are ongoing and wondered whether there is any positive energy I can create around that.

The outcome would make an important financial difference to me.

Essentially, I was betrayed and not paid what I was being owed and I fought for what is mine and now the formality of it scares me.
I am being taken advantage of quite frequently.

I wish for a positive outcome and for strong financial flow as a have a few good causes to support.

Everytime I see that advert I worry about the maintenance and cleaning of that place. It wouldn't take much for it to look really shabby and doesn't look like it'll still be standing in 50 years time.

Also it's in the middle of nowhere in North Devon, no way is it worth 3 million. If it was in Bournemouth or Brighton it might be worth that. Someone probably built it and couldn't find a mug to sell it to. The fengshui seems way off

It's too angle-heavy ... Feng Shui loves curves. I always think of Chi (energy flow) as moving through spaces in waves. In a structure such as that it would hit all the angles and feel frustrated and angry.

No! You only need one really! Mine is facing my front door as a cure for having my stairs facing my front door (wealth running out of house) so I also have one on the SE corner of my desk. A lot of FS is about direction and it can be confusing sometimes to work out your directions. You can look at a bagua and put that over the whole imprint of your house. However, as a general rule of thumb it’s safe to stand in your doorway of a specific room and SE is the far left hand corner as you stand in the doorway . Placement can be very hard if you worry about it. Please don’t. No need. I have been fortunate having a Feng Shui Master to help and he did my horoscope as well. All too much for now though. So - short answer, toad in far right left corner of either your desk or your room should work. If you don’t have a desk the SE corner of a room is good. If you go back to the beginning on this thread @PixelGirl shows you a perfect desk layout covering all the compass points. I miss her .
