I am going to take this weekend to take notes and make a few changes. I am loving that Desk Feng Shui @PixelGirl! Thank you! My back is facing the door
. I love this thread so much!
thank you so much!!!PMs
Re PMs We've kept them on for years now and it's gone from minor annoyances like when people don't spill tea and instead only send it via pm to people they deem worthy. Stuff like that is annoying as we'd like tattle to be inclusive and not cliquey. It got a bit more serious when quite a few...tattle.life
Here you go
Sending you virtual hugs@Oops... Thank you for explaining the coin flip in detail x although I do feel it’s too soon to take that step as it’s not been long enough to know what I really want. It all came out first of the month so the emotions are still very raw.
I appreciate what my boyfriend is telling me, he keeps telling me that right now as I love him and want to be with him, I “may” think I’m ready to give up on marriage/kids but he thinks deep down I will want kids at some point and upon realising that he won’t be able to, will make me resent him eventually and he doesn’t want that. Nor does he want to see me sacrifice on my desires. He has made himself clear that if I wanted to end things now, he would fully support/understand the decision as he wants me to be happy.
We have been together 18 months, but I have not come across a man this honest, upfront and selfless. I’m totally baffled and at loss. I’ve noticed/felt change in his behaviour since this week. For eg no more saying love you unless I do first, no hugging/cuddling and worst of all he has not stayed over this week for the first time since last 6 months. He has got his younger brother staying at his own place for time being so not been at mine. Now I don’t know if this change in affection is intentional or not but it is so so upsetting. Sorry for the outpouring xx
good to hear from you again. I know this sounds really silly and embarrassing, but I actually put your little chicken avatar onto my vision board. Now that you are back, I am hoping it will activate other things on my vision board. clapping and smudging sounds lovely. You mean so much to a lot of people on both threads even if they might not say it with their chest. If there is only bad energy around, maybe you can be the good energy to ward off the bad.
But I am happy to see you and your notification. Brings me joy.
Sorry, I should have said I had my 'bed' facing the mirror. Bad JUJU!!!!!Loving this thread.
I moved into a new house a couple of years ago. Had my facing a mirrored wardrobe, was unexpectedly sick (vomiting) for no reason. A friend came around (Wiccan) and told me to move the bed. That fixed it up straight away!
You’ve made my day. I can smile again now!I was thinking of you too! I could see exactly what you were doing and was shocked to hear a post of yours was taken down. I thought our lovely Miscanthus made a brilliant post to start the new thread. She voiced exactly what most can feel about the energy there but she did it so nicely so as not to cause any offence. I thought the “have I done something wrong’ post was very telling and good on you for sticking with it - my brave best Havisham

No, don’t worry - I don’t take it personally. My daughter has a lot of issues well-known to my friends here on this thread. Her struggles are ongoing. Her art is a true expression of her feelings, unequivocally, bad or good. I love that she can express herself in such a pure way unlike with words where we miscommunicate and misinterpret all the time. It’s a personal journey for her, expressed in art. I’m sure she’s not alone in finding comfort in her talent. You daughter is very talented but - and please do not take this the wrong way - that picture is not good Feng Shui. The word that comes to mind is, "trapped"
Thank you. I read the earlier posts but was still confused... I think the fact that my current flat has this weird L-shape doesn't make it easy.Separate space and separate corners probably best at this stage. Hope this helps. It has been dealt with in earlier posts if you scroll back x
Thank you! Yes, I will do the same... Improvise. Thanks for sharing your Feng Shui journey, I agree - it is not that easy!I was confused as well before. I read this thread multiple times. But I ended up using the entire flat as general overview. Placed a crystal in the middle of the house/flat. Did the clapping and lots of incense sticks. Activated my little toad. Then I used a bagua for each individual rooms. For my bedroom, I made sure that my bed is facing my "good" direction. I avoided all the "bad" directions. Then I added items based on what I wanted to focus on. In my little work corner, I made sure to face my "good" direction and added the colours and items from the spruce website. I didn't follow to the exact detail because it was too overwhelming for me. I just improvised.

Brilliant! Thank you. You seem to have intuitively got a great deal right! The reason I specifically asked about your neighbours before commenting was because I wasn’t sure that you liked your house or not. I am really happy to hear you do and so you have a great start! As far as the neighbours go it’s interesting that there is repetitive energy seemingly hanging there isn’t it?Amazing, thank you so much for your insight. I thought I would try the floor map, but as you said perhaps areas won’t align so I will do each room too (I just wanted to check I had the right idea)
to answer your questions:
The awful line of a front door is to show where it sits. It is black, and it opens inwards at the angle I drew. The door is positioned slightly to the right hand side (there are two little dashes to show roughly where it is, and then two windows either side)
We eat in the left hand side of the kitchen where wealth meets fame. The kitchen is L shaped and from the dining area you look straight down to the lounge area
My parents bought this house many years ago (20+) and my husband and I bought it off them For many years it was unloved and very well used and when we bought it we spent a lot of time and money re doing it and it feels like a new house. Almost anyone who comes in says it’s not like it was. I feel like our home is very happy, and I adore it. I don’t want to change anything but I do want to understand it and see where I can help things be their best if that makes sense? My mums house interestingly enough that they moved to has caused her constant health issues and that it something i would love to delve deeper into that once I understand FS well.
our home is attached to our neighbours. I don’t think our home suffers due to it but I just thought aloud if this was possible. It just seems that every family that has lived there has had issues (alcohol issues the family before. The family now have sleep issues with their child and argue frequently)
We have one downstairs bathroom. It is opposite the front door but the toilet is around the corner (where the black dash is in the bathroom)
The X is in the centre of the house and is an airing cupboard! The block next to it is just structural wall.
Our bedroom is above the front room, and we have one toddler, whose room sits above the family area. (So both bedrooms are to the left hand side, ours to the front aspect, his to the rear) we would love to have another child this year.
The kitchen is extended out so the first floor sits above the central part of the house so the larger part of the kitchen and dining is an extended area if that helps. The dashes at the top part of the lounge show where the kitchen is out as an extension.
Back door is on the left hand side wall, in the middle roughly. The cooker sits almost smack between the middle of where creativity and health sit, and then the sink it on the opposite wall, but there is an island in the middle. I think perhaps I should do a more details floor plan of that may help!
house was built approx 1960’s
Love the idea of the rose quartz in the cupboard. We have many plants around the home, almost one in every room (when the light is favourable)
I am just trying to think about what energies feel in each room. We have started to close the toilet lid (recently trained toddler so easier said than done!) and closing the drains so will see how that presents to us.
When the bagua map represents body parts, how does that reflect? Is there certain things that can help the body? My mum had awful thyroid issues last year and still suffers as a result with memory loss and her asthma is also quite chronic. She had acupuncture last year which helped tremendously when she had hard circulation issues due to it so I am interested to see how changing her home might help possibly
once again your knowledge and insight is fantastic and thank you so much for your time!

Yay, you're back !!!!Hey, I'm here again. Sadly, my Feng Shui was out of the roof, recently. I missed you all. Hope you are all well. Is there still a Downtonbury?
@1001 others What you are doing sounds good to me, have a look at this image and see if you can actually do anything with the way things are actually on your desk. The mirror to counter the door situation seems like a good fix and I have seen this mentioned as a way to get around having your back to the door.I'm really struggling to make my home office more Feng Shui-friendly.
It is a small room and I have a corner workstation ... so it makes sense to put that up against the wall, with the window off to my left. But in doing so, my back faces the door, I'm facing the wall, and I have a huge empty space behind me. Ironically, I found an article that pictured 'ideal home Feng Shui set-ups' that had my exact configuration! (But I know it's not the best set-up).
My current 'fix' is to hang a mirror in the corner where the two walls meet (that I look to), so I can see what's behind me; I also have brightly coloured artwork with pleasant scenes (boats, beaches, etc.), adorning the walls.
Does anyone else have any ideas about what I could do? (I don't want to replace my desk).
@Arts911 Young children are sensitive to energy changes so I had a look and it seems it is suggested you do it when they aren't in the house. Maybe if it's a nice day they could play in the garden while you do it.With the clapping, can it be done if my children are around or should I go it when it's just me in the house?
@Yogarow I had a quick look for you, I am in no way an expert but it seems there are fixes for the coffin position. Have a read of this x At least if you look into it now when you do come to move you can look for the things you don't want to have, toilet over the front door for instance.Hi everyone I've read this whole thread yesterday and want to join! I already do yoga/crystals and a bit of law of attraction type stuff but want to get into feng shui.
I'm decorating my (tiny 2 bed) house at the moment as due 3rd baby in August and feel like we can manage with this small house until the new year (as a morgage to move isn't an option right now due to furlough/husbend self employed etc) so just wanted to do massive de clutter and I'm Marie kondoing as I go.
I did with my last baby and alot of the principles have stuck with me regarding clearing clutter regularly, not holding onto stuff indefinitely. I've decided to feng shui as I go to so trying to implement what I've read here as much as poss.
Unfortunately my bed is stuck in the coffin position and can't really be moved otherwise cot won't fit and no other option. I have an open rail instead of a wardrobe which Is opposite my bed and again can't fit anywhere else. As I can't move or get rid of it is there anything I could do to give it better energy principles? Such as colour coding the garments maybe? Ordering them in dark to light?
I am SO sorry if I did the wrong thing - I was trying to bring balance - I maybe failed miserably. I could feel the spiral and I wanted to hold a finger to the dam post haste - I was a bit annoyed she brought Nicky into it but I could feel her fear wasn’t necessarily about the weight so much as where she’s at at the pregnancy and is a nervous wreck about what she’s facing. On Lidl thread. Please send help.....![]()
I'm so happy to read that you've had some great news! It sounds like you've been through so much, and now you've come out on the other side you're definitely deserving of some good luck and positive vibes, so that's wonderful!*****POSITIVITY****
You asked earlier if it was a possibility I could move. Well, as said my life went into serious turmoil after escaping my 2nd husband. I ran 250 miles away from domestic violence. I was stabbed, tortured in a Marsh land and held over a quarry infront of my children. I don't want to spoil the positivity with my past but I just wanted to give you a small insight of just why I'm so grateful!!!! An exchange felt like an impossibility to me until today, as after ending up a drug addict my arrears ended up over £2000, I was so scatty and didn't realise until I got my life back into order last year. But I'm in so much other debt... I was struggling to pay everything off. And decorate and carpet this house, it still isn't all floored. I checked on my arrears today, because the amount has always scared me, depressed me.
I thought it would still be at least £900, it was £36 in arrears!!! Oh my. I can exchange now! Because I'm in a rock and a hard place. My children either want me to move 300 miles where they are with my first ex mother in law or... they are allowed to come home if I do move!! As my children have stated they don't want to come back to this particular house and would need their own rooms because of what they have suffered they need their own space.
I thought it would take another 2 years to pay off! I thought of this thread straight away! I can be reunited with my older children. My baby boy with his older brothers much sooner.
There is a whole weight gone.thankyou all my love.
The lady trying for a baby... I've sent lots of hope to you. When I did, I just pictured a little baby boy. You will be a mum soon!![]()
Hehe, thanks! I ordered some orange cushions for our bedroom too, they arrived today![]()
Great. I would not worry too much about the drains right now. Just keep the loo seat down. That will take care of energy from drains creeping in. Also if you are able to maybe keep the plugs in the sinks throughout.View attachment 446236So sorry for the time it’s taken, I got my husband to draw it out on the iPad
It’s very basic but wanted to see if I had the concept right before I went any further. The awful black line at the bottom is the front door.
I understand I should probably mark where drains/kitchen bits are etc!
It’s done right, i would love to understand my homes energy.
I spoke to my mum about this as she loves to learn new things too, and I remember telling her that our neighbours (we’ve had this house in the family for many years now) have always been very turbulent. There have been 3 sets now and each time it’s a very unhappy family (lots of rows, arguments and issues) so I’m really intrigued to wonder if perhaps the energy of the house is just negative. I’ve always said it’s a miserable home so perhaps learning of this maybe confirms that!
(Don’t know how I missed your post yesterday but somehow I did - duh) I’m sorry you have been feeling hollow. I am hollow too. It became so important to me over lockdown as well. More than anyone might know tbh. The wonky pheasants were genius. You are aIt's so nice to hear from you!Thank you for your lovely words! I've beeen feeling so hollow. Where was that DM button when it was sooo needed? I've re-read the thread a few times (not helped by missing posts) and regret wading in and prolonging the discussion after it veered off; instead I should have closed it down a lot earlier! Thankfully the wonky pheasants helped me express things when I did start the new one
. These forums are dynamic and people come and go, but it has meant so much to me during Lockdown to laugh and chat with people who feel like friends. Hopefully we can find a way back.
Oh Alitex...hmmmm.....didn't I tell you...?
(PS Seeing some likes too).
