It’s all so fascinating isn’t it? When I looked at what I wrote in 1993 in my book I was so heartened at how it had all happened as I had written it. I have now spent quite a bit of time this weekend revisiting the playsheets in this book and writing them again for 2021. So I’m now describing the next journeys I want to go on and working out what needs to be done to arrive at the next destination. I now have a completely different destination to what I wrote all those years ago. I have noticed a change and already (probably because I am following my dominant thought) things quite literally are appearing in front of me. For instance I belong to another thread and yesterday 2 members (both very dear to me as it happens - no surprise there ) posted (independently) exactly what I am visualising. It’s there in glorious thechnicolour. So it appeared right in front of my eyes. It’s fascinating and it really spurs me on. I have now decided to spend at least an hour a day on my ‘making things happen‘ endeavour. I’ll keep you posted on how things begin to manifest as they appear...:m

This is wonderful news 👏. It’s amazing how when you really focus things start to really happen...What a difference it will make when you have a much shorter journey AND start making a different home that you can customise to make it exactly how you have pictured it! I love hearing this stuff. It is so good to know that what started as a germ of an idea is now becoming a reality because you let the focus grow in your mind to bring it about. Sounds to me like you are so much further down the line now (in a relatively short period of time). Keep going and keep telling us what transpires next. Hanging on here to hear the next instalment :m
You've convinced me to buy a copy - luckily for me, it's in stock and will be here before the end of the week - woohoo!

I find with many of these books - especially on the topic of law of attraction - it's just a big old rehash of what's already been covered. But I did notice in the reviews for this one that you've recommended, that it seems to offer a little more than the stock-standard narrative.

I'm excited!

I've just put some gold coins (regular currency, not Feng Shui coins), under my front door mat; I'll let you know if by doing so I receive a big windfall (y)
An update: I buy a lottery ticket that has a draw every night (costs NZ$7 for the week). First night after laying the coins, I won $12; on the second night, I won a bonus ticket. Was it thanks to the coins? Who knows. I'm going to switch out the regular currency with some Feng Shui coins ... I'll put three, bound by red string/ribbon, under my mat as three attract wealth and prosperity. I'm going to use the ones that have been under my mat, to buy next week's ticket.

Hello Everyone :)

This thread has very good Feng Shui, it feels very good to be here, don't you think?

Today I wanted to add some Feng Shui elements to the different areas, but I got confused.
Do I apply the Bagua map to the whole flat or to individual rooms?

My Flat is kind of L-shaped.
The entrance door opens to a small hallway and straight ahead is the living room (fairly large) with a balcony.
Right from the entrance door is the kitchen, and then behind that (already after the entrance door) the bathroom and then the bedroom.
Maybe it would be best if I attach a picture?

I am confused if I should treat each room as a separate area with the different corners or if the Bagua map refers to the flat as a whole (in which case some areas seem to be outside the map).
I watched some videos and looked at some websites but couldn't figure it out. It seems that both applies at the same time?

I agree this thread has very good energy.

As an aside, and this message is for anyone reading:

You do need to err on the side of caution when following advice of others on this topic because, as an example, I've seen mention of the money toad bringing good fortune. Well, that's certainly the case, so long as you don't have it facing your entrance door or outside, or else all your money will escape. Plus, you shouldn't put all your faith in this one charm turning your fortunes around. Feng Shui is a practice that takes a lot of hard work and education to achieve. Equip yourself with as much research as possible before investing in any tools/charms or making any radical changes, or else it's all a waste of money and effort.

My advice as always is start small and when it works keep going...naysayers will always try to rain on parades - your Feng Shui journey is for you. I’ve never found it hard work but I have found it fascinating. It’s great fun to discuss too. :m

Thank you.

I looked at this sight and also have the Bagua map, but I still couldn't figure it out.

If I stand in the entrance door to the flat, the bathroom and bedroom are behind it on the right side.
Does it mean the corners on the right side stretch out to the bedroom?
Or would it be best to treat each room a separate space with the separate corners?

Separate space and separate corners probably best at this stage. Hope this helps. It has been dealt with in earlier posts if you scroll back x

I was confused as well before. I read this thread multiple times. But I ended up using the entire flat as general overview. Placed a crystal in the middle of the house/flat. Did the clapping and lots of incense sticks. Activated my little toad. Then I used a bagua for each individual rooms. For my bedroom, I made sure that my bed is facing my "good" direction. I avoided all the "bad" directions. Then I added items based on what I wanted to focus on. In my little work corner, I made sure to face my "good" direction and added the colours and items from the spruce website. I didn't follow to the exact detail because it was too overwhelming for me. I just improvised.

I hope this helps!

Hey, if you are interested we could do a Feng Shui Wiki so far as it is possible. I took a look at the wiki list, but there are only people wikis. We could ask the Mods.

You are missed over there at Lydl's. I'm playing a mobile game called "Wordscapes" and you have to find words like in a crossword, but they all consist of the same few letters. And I am at a higher level now and some words I have to wild guess. It has an attached dictionary, when you found a certain word you can click on the dict and it tells you the meaning. Long story short, I always think, if Oops (btw "oops" I a word you can use, when you have the approbiate letters of course) would know those odd words.

I would give you a list of some words, but it only saves the dict temporarily. :(

Thank you. I read the earlier posts but was still confused... I think the fact that my current flat has this weird L-shape doesn't make it easy.
So I will just work with each individual room I think.
I also noticed your comment in February that in some situations only a Feng Shui master can help, so I will just improvise until I have my permanent home...

Thank you! Yes, I will do the same... Improvise. Thanks for sharing your Feng Shui journey, I agree - it is not that easy!
I found The Spruce website, it is helpful. Thank you.

I also bought two books:

Creating Sacred space with Feng Shui, Karen Kingston
Essential Feng Shui, Simon Brown

Will let you know what they are like :)

Have a nice and sunny Sunday everyone ❤

Hello! Thoughts on astrology? Has anyone given it a go? If so, thoughts please.

Astrology is actually a fascinating subject to learn about, most people consider it the horoscope you read in the paper and poo poo it.
It is far more than that, if you look up your birth chart and read about the planets and the signs they govern and what sign they was in at the time you was born.
You will honestly be shocked to realise your personality is far more complex and spot on than just being for example a Leo or a Scorpio sun and you will learn so much about yourself and how you tick like emotionally and love language and temper etc.

Astrology is also how the planets move and stuff, like now we’re currently in mercury retrograde until the end of the month, this happens 3/4 times a year and you should try to be conscious of that if you’re waiting on emails/letters and technology suddenly breaking down.

Their is a new moon lunar eclipse in Gemini tomorrow which is rather powerful if you want to set intentions in the hope they manifest.
You do this on new moons in general and if they’re meant for you will hopefully manifest by the next full moon in that sign which is generally a year I believe. Full moons are generally for releasing things that no longer serve.

Sorry if that’s a lot of information but generally I advocate for astrology as I believe in the process and structure of it ☺

Thank you @Kittycat86 for detailed explanation. I asked as my mother really believes in it and has asked me to look into it so as to provide some guidance/direction in my life. I’m feeling extremely low and lost past few weeks due to a breakup. Feeling extremely vulnerable and keep breaking down to tears at any time in a day.

I had an astrology reading last year, also because I was looking for direction.
There is also a book called "the missing element" by a well-known astrologer (Debbie? Delia? Her name escapes me right now) that you might find interesting.
Another good book is "The inner sky", to learn about the basics of astrology.

Question re Feng Shui and business;

Husband is self employed. I file his invoices to customers in a blue A4 ring binder. I also file his bank statements and VAT return in another blue A4 binder.
Would a different colour binder be more auspicious or a patterned binder or attach coins, etc?
Would appreciate any thoughts please.

I’m sorry to hear that, honestly I know everybody says this but it truly does get better in time.
Eventually you’ll realise when you meet someone new and are so so happy that the person you broke up with just wasn’t right for whatever reason, that doesn’t make them a bad person at all it just means it was a lesson you needed to learn from and it was a blessing as you made room for this new person.

I don’t claim to be an expert at all with astrologyI’m still learning but what I will say is maybe try keeping track of the moon cycles and set intentions and do releasing rituals.
Tonight 10th June is actually a new moon eclipse in Gemini, this is a highly potent powerful energy to work with.
Gemini is also a very social chatty sign, so it’s always handy to look into what sign the new moon is in and try and find the traits of it and use that to your advantage.

Use this new moon to set your intentions, weite down the date and the new moon it is in on a piece of paper then set the intentions for what you’d like to happen, but write it as if it’s already happened and be thankful for it.
So for example, I am thankful for….
You have to believe it will happen then if it’s meant for you it will. But usually it doesn’t manifest straight away.

On the next full moon maybe try doingthe same thing but releasing things that are no longer serving you, for example…
On a piece of paper…I am releasing the hurt my last relationship caused me, I forgive but I am ready to be happy etc.
You then fold it up and burn it using a candle then release the ashes on the wind or outside away from your house.

Even if you feel it’s not working straight away it should hopefully give you some relief from thinking about it constantly, it also resets your mind and gives space for new better things to come in.
I hope you feel better in time and maybe give it a go as you have nothing to lose x

Thank you ever so much @Kittycat86 thank you for taking the time to write me such a helpful message. I appreciate it. I will definitely give it a go today, as it’s a new moon once I’m back from work this evening. Xx

Thank you to @Geranium and @whathastheworldcometo for checking in on me. I know time is a healer and it will hopefully get better but it is just so so hard to overcome it after investing yourself so much emotionally in another person. I keep wishing daily that he will reconsider it.

I completely understand, I have been in this situation myself before.

I learned that these emotions are still there, they are not wasted. And that someone else will come along who will make your heart beat faster again ❤
