I really love the Phlur brand!
Could you share if the perfumes are long lasting?I really love the Phlur brand!
I find jo Malone perfumes to be as you describe them. Lovely smells, but do not last. I’d urge anyone curious to try the small bottles first before splashing out on the bigger bottles.Tried Jo Alone Myrrh and Tonka today. It smells slightly different to the Aldi knockoff I think, fractionally nicer to me, but seems to have very little longevity on me. The dry down is really pleasant but very faint.
That’s such a bad luck!I learned the hard way with Jo Malone - got a massive bottle of peony and blush suede after falling in love with it in store. I sprayed it liberally on each wrist. By the time I'd driven home, I'd got a banging headache and felt so sick. I've had that reaction with a few perfumes - annoyingly with Creed Windflower that I badgered my husband into buying me for Christmas last year. He noted the other day that I've barely used it![]()
Sounds like something I’d like. (Just googled it) i wonder where I can sample it beforehand…I’m wearing Bois d’Ascese by Naomi Goodsir - very smoky and tarry. I love it.
Peony and Blush is my fave JM and lasts all day. same. i love the JM orange blossom but the smell just does not last at all. by contrast, the aldi versions seem to be incredibly long lasting (based on their pomegranate dupe at least).I find jo Malone perfumes to be as you describe them. You can buy a 1ml sample for £5 from Bloom... a bit expensive I know but I think if you register and buy the sample then if you want a full bottle you get the price of the sample deducted https://bloomperfume.co.uk/products/bois-dascseSounds like something I’d like. Edit I’m wearing le labo baie 19 and I’m always disappointed by the projection. Kind of can’t wait to finish it.
I bet I'd love it!Trying Montale intense cafe again, I have a sample and after a second try I still don't like it, actually makes me feel a bit sick. Smells like smoked coffee to me![]()
Funny how scents are so different on people - I find intense cafe to have a coffee/ tonka bean smell on me. Although rose is meant to be a prominent note and I don’t pick up any rose at all. The Zara dupe ( Rose Gaumand) is heavier on the rose for me but not so much the coffee note and the tonka is there but it’s in the background.Trying Montale intense cafe again, I have a sample and after a second try I still don't like it, actually makes me feel a bit sick. There are bits of it I like but most of the time it's too much, it's the coffee I think which is strange since I normally love the smell of coffeeFunny how scents are so different on people - I find intense cafe to have a coffee/ tonka bean smell on me. Yeah I always make sure to sample as even if I like a scent immediately, I want to make sure it lasts on me!I bet I'd love it!
Glad you got a sample rather than finding out you don't like it after buying full size.
