Favourite and least favourite country you have visited?

Favourite is for sure Fiji! It is so relaxing, they have a saying called Fiji time and it’s that anybody can be late there’s so rush for anything and it’s so laid back. The people are the nicest people I’ve met, they sing a welcome song as your boat moves into their island and a good bye song when you leave. I would love to go back but so much more of the world to see!

My least favourite is Vietnam! I didn’t like the food and felt some of the people where rude towards us, not all though. People commenting on my body size , taking pictures of us on the beach and stuff. Some of the things my eyes seen at the markets and that my nose smelt I never want to experience again. We couldn’t wait to leave
Oh that's a shame to hear that 😥 I spent a few months in Vietnam and loved it, one of my favourite countries.

Most favourite - Italy. I've been so many times and I can't wait to take my kids when they're old enough to appreciate why I love it so much much. Venice, Capri and Lake Garda, top of the list.

Least favourite I'm tempted to say America. We've skied in New England which is absolutely stunning and travelled various other states but it's just not for me 🤷‍♀️

Not a country (sorry!) but my least favourite was probably Vegas. It's not my kind of place at all but really wasn't helped by the fact that I was only 20 at the time. I went with a big group of friends, most of which had turned 21 already, so the few of us that hadn't felt a bit useless. We had to walk through the casino to get to the lift to our rooms and we couldn't even stop to talk to friends for 30 seconds on the walk through without being yelled at by security. One time I was waiting for a taxi, standing just inside the doors of our hotel by the AC as it was 40+ outside, and got an absolute bollocking off one particularly head security guy. Luckily we only stayed for 2 days.
Also hated LA, the traffic was absolutely awful and it had such a "stuck up, health wanker, self-obsessed influencer" vibe. I'd say I had a better time there than Vegas but I expected to hate Vegas so I was more disappointed by LA, if that makes sense?

My favourite is a hard one. I loved Cadiz and spent almost six months there after having a massive "duck I don't know what I'm doing with my life" moment. I'm a fan of Spain in general, though I try to stay away from the Brits abroad hotspots. I also travelled round Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro with some friends for two months, back before they really took off as stereotypical British tourist spots. The beauty in those countries is incredible.

My favourite country is probably Italy or Canada. I now live in Canada and it is so beautiful, so many different types of landscapes to see. Banff is basically our backyard where we are. In terms of a city, San Diego is probably my favourite. It is beautiful and there is so much to do.

The least favourite place I visited most recently was London. I am from the UK, and we went back last summer. London was always one of my favourite cities. But when we visited last year it was awful and we were so disappointed. It was absolutely filthy, bags of garbage everywhere, and smelt of piss everywhere we walked. So overcrowded too. I think I got used to the cities being so spread out in Canada, in London it felt like I couldn't move without touching someone.

Favourite: Scotland, Georgia. Cities: Paris,

I was quite lucky and have liked almost all places I have been to.

Least Favourite: Budapest, got bed bugs there (hotel staff didn't care. Actually I think they knew the room was infested with bugs), my camera was stolen and people I encountered were pretty rude...the thermal baths were nice though.

Favourite - India (Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Ranthambore, Varanasi)
FOOD, culture, sight, people (I never understood why someone would come home off holiday and say ‘the people were nice’ but now I get it)
Safari in Tanzania and beach week in Zanzibar on a par

Least favourite - China (Beijing, Shanghai, Pingyao, Xian)
Apart from a few unearthed warriors and some great views from The Great Wall, nope. Food crap, oppressive, too ordered, crotchless baby grows (google it), the wretching and spitting in public.

I am torn about India... Food, culture was awesome and lots of nice people but I found it extremly annoying that I could not make one step without being harrassed (people touching my hair, skin...). And all the begging children made me quite sad. I knew there were a lot but I was still shocked. The car ride from the airport to the hotel in Delhi left me speechless. As soon as the car stopped, groups of children running towards the car...

I can’t say I’ve ever been annoyed about the kind of behaviour poverty and hunger creates but yes, it makes me incredibly sad. I remember chatting to someone on a long train ride and he said if the British hadn’t left in the 40s he would no longer be living in a poor country. Not sure how I feel about that though, we were horrible but he was thankful for what the British had given them as a nation.

Those babygros!

not sure on a favourite but least favourite place was Amsterdam. It all felt very seedy, food was vile and was expensive.

Favourite was Lanzarote ... we had our own private villa. Didn’t have to worry about other people it was just us in complete private, lots of naked swimming and sunbathing, hot weather and even when we did venture out the beaches were quiet. I had lots of lovely meals out and as I’m gluten free I was worried about getting ill but if I couldn’t find anything go on the menu the restaurants cooked me a separate meal. I had no cross contamination issues at all.
worst was Disneyland Paris, overcrowded, got pushed about, we found a place to watch the fireworks and one woman who turned up last minute tried to push my child out the way so she could see, I went nuts at her. People looked bloody miserable walking around, standing in overcrowded ques is not my ideal of fun

I feel the exact same about India, I loved my month there but some parts were hard to deal with especially the harassment. Would love to go back again though especially to the South.

Favourite: Scotland. Had a great Honeymoon there. Great food, lovely people and really sunny and warm.

Least favourite: Florida. I wasn’t prepared for the humidity. The heat is fine and I thought because I live in a marsh in the UK that I could deal with it but I was wrong. The tipping culture was really something else. Our hotel room was trashed the first day because we didn’t leave a tip out for housekeeping. Outside of the hotel, I hated the faux ultra friendly attitude (probably due to the tipping culture) and was taken aback by the genuine poverty and the contempt for the poor, lack of footpaths and so little respect for wildlife I observed. Pretty sure the rest of the States wasn’t like it but it put me off returning.

Yes, I've heard really good stuff about the South and that it's easier to travel there. It's also on my list but unfortunately I've kind of developed an "allergy" to Indian cuisine. The past 5...6 times I went to an Indian restaurant or had homemade Indian food (from a friend from India) , I got sick afterwards. I hate it because it used to be my favourite... No idea what it is, I thought maybe curry but even when I had a dish without curry, I still got sick. Probably it's more a psychological problem now but that definitely keeps me from going back because I would be scared of being sick al the time.

Ah no that's a shame 😔

Lanzarote has been my favourite so far. The people were lovely, great nightlife. I had a whale of a time. It was a few years ago now though.
I live in the UK but the worst place I've ever been is London. As soon as I got there, I was approached by a homeless man who said he was hungry, I offered to buy him food as we were right outside a tesco, he said he wanted my money, I refused and he called me some rather lovely words. I felt very unsafe the whole time, I only felt safe in my hotel room. So many homeless people, there was a murder around the corner from where we stayed the same night, the traffic is horrendous, people on bikes clearly have a death wish, horrible place full of crime.

Favourite is so hard! Beach would be Mexico (snorkeling was out of this world), people would be Hawaii and best city break New York. I do love Disney World too 🙈😍

Least favourite without a doubt was Morocco! My husband was chatted up by a member of the hotel staff in front of me - she literally wouldn't leave him alone for the whole holiday. It was awkward and I was (and still am) fuming by it all. Egypt was awful too.

Least favourite Berlin, didn't enjoy it at all.

Most loved trip Reykjavik ❤
Omg I came on to say EXACTLY the same thing!

Reykjavik for me was stunning and the people were really friendly. Also it might have something to do with the fact it’s where my husband proposed 🧡

Berlin...well this will sound ridiculous but I’m allergic to it. My feet got completely red and swollen and itchy. I thought it was my shoes as I had bought them new for the trip. But the minute I got home the swelling subsided and it has never returned and I’ve had the shoes for 2 years now. Also I just didn’t find the city super interesting compared to lots of others I’ve been to.
