I agree about them latching on to camp counselors for their respite care. Young people will not "question" them or things like an older experienced respite worker will/would.
I don't think Crazy Nanny questions them. It doesn't seem like she can afford to and they know it and take full advantage of that!
The ABA therapist is young and she lets Assa talk over her all the time. It's obvious he has no respect for her (or anyone) by the way he talks at her when she's there.
Oh. Abbie signs she's hungry in the last vlog. 10 minutes later she 'steals' zucchini bread from the unlocked fridge. Assa catches her eating it. Talks stern to her tells her she's had hers...no more for her!! Obviously pissed she boogered up the bread. Like dumbass she told you she was hungry!!! Poor child.

"Whatever you have done to the least of these you have done also to me." When you let her go hungry..you let me go hungry..when you do not quench her thirst you leave me parched as well. When you mock..imitate..and belittle her..you also mock, imitate and belittle me. When you ignore her needs you also ignore my needs. When you are ashamed of her you are also ashamed of me. The difference between my dear sweet child Abbie and I is I am the great I Am..Apha and Omega. No one comes to the Father except by me. The difference between both of you and Abbie? She will live with me in paradise..you will not. And the people said..Amen.

Very good paraphrasing. Did ya notice the blasphemy that they were uttering in front of the live manger? Awful.
P couldn't resist grabbing a cookie with her t rex hand. 😆 she looks to be putting that weight back on!! Stay tuned!!
Bounty still says they have no relationship with them. Wonder when they are going to address that? When Assa? When? 😆

Did you see Abbie sprint away from them and Isaiah saved the day. Could you imagine what would have happened had he not been there. I also saw the very blatant disrespect at the manager scene. If you wanna keep your fans happy stay far away from politics and religion...and if you can’t respects someone’s religion don’t be all up front at the manager scene snackin on cookies. I saw Cilla posted she is down 91lbs so far. Two months ago she was down 86lbs. That 5lbs is just a good ole poop in the morning. The old Dunkin and barbecue is working wonders at stretching that gastric sleeve back out. But I’m sure she will blame it on the holidays or her teeth 🙄. Try self discipline and a healthy diet and leave the snickerdoodles for the poor little boy who wanted some.

My greatest fear is exactly what you said. I have seen this same thing several times in recent blogs. When they decorated outside and turned on the lights, both A&P were to busy dealing with cameras and seeing the lights, to notice Abbie melting down and walking off down the side walk. Isaiah was there to save the day though... I am very fearful that they won’t be able to catch up to her... Of course, maybe they will go grab a scooter and scooter off to find her?

Oh my goodness, Priscilla totally fits the bill of Trump supporter. Obese, low IQ, toothless and evil inside. Trump and Republicans are the reason why you are losing your teeth. They don't want to give Americans affordable healthcare. She is so freaking dumb, let her work against her own interests.

Yeah, she wants to turn the U.S. into Handmaid's Tale. Take away women's rights, eh Triple C? Women shouldn't get birth control under their insurance plan but men get Viagra covered, isn't that what the old male Republicans wanted? No women's rights? OK, go like a hog to slaughter. I'll watch.

Odd considering they rely on insurance for Abbies birth control.

Yeah they use Medicaid for Abbie. That's a handout in her terms. Republicans want to severely limit and slash Medicaid.

Priscilla is so ignorant she's actually destroying her own future.

Priscilla will gladly sell her daughter's image and soul online for freebies and money.

She loves handouts like Medicaid but will call it socialism like Trump Republicans unless she's using the said handout like free pull ups / diaper briefs and Medicaid.... Respite... All funded by SOCIALISM TAX DOLLARS, Y'ALL!!!

I have a problem with them qualifying for taxpayer money at all. They are able to pay. Maybe the state of Florida needs to reassess their Medicaid eligibility requirements.
The free things they get would better serve a poor family who struggles.
Tonight's vlog Assa witches about how many stamps are needed to mail out the patreon Christmas cards!! What a dick.
I encourage you all to write to their sponsors and demand to know why they pay money to people who exploit their non verbal DD kid for money.
It can't hurt and the answers would surely be interesting! 😁

“Jacksonville parents, providers rally against Medicaid cuts that would impact kids with autism

By: Alicia Tarancon and Action News Jax
Updated: April 19, 2019 - 6:24 PM

Parents in Jacksonville who have children with autism and rely on Medicaid met downtown Friday outside the Department of Health, demanding action.

Last month, the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) threatened to cut Medicaid reimbursement rates for therapists who work with children with autism.

Parents like Priscilla and Asa Maass know what it’s like raising a child with autism.

They have a 13-year-old daughter Abigail who has severe autism and she’s been receiving applied behavior analysis therapy for the last five years.

"It’s amazing, with Abigail she’s now able to go grocery shopping with us and she’s able to bath herself and do all of these life skills that many of us take for granted,” said Priscilla Maass.

Together they’re joining other families to rally against the proposed Medicaid reimbursement cuts for providers who treat children with autism.
Last month the AHCA announced it was considering the changes which would impact behavior analysis and other positions.

“With the changes that Medicaid wants to put in place for ABA therapy, the services are going to be reduced drastically,” said Asa Maass
“We have gotten to where we are now because of the last five years of ABA therapy and we want that for other people, they should have access to that,” said Maass.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville parents with children with special needs are upset with the Agency for Health Care Administration.

Armed with placards, they rallied outside its Jacksonville offices and inside met with state officials to express their opposition to proposed cuts and other changes.

"We need out voices heard," said parent Asa Maass.

Maass and his wife Priscilla were at the rally and the meeting.

"Parents are feeling they're not getting the services their children need," she said.

They have a 13-year-old daughter who has been living with Autism. They know the challenges.

"As Autism parents we have been fighting from day one to get services for our kids," Asa Maass said.

Their daughter has been able to receive services for the past five years. Three months ago, she stopped receiving help from Medicaid.

"The program helped," she said. "She's now able to go to the grocery store and attend family functions."

They're now Content Creators and they're using social media platforms to help other parents.

"As a mom, it hurts me to think of the other kids who are so much younger to not be given a chance to get where our daughter has gotten because of these services,' Priscilla Maass said.

Before Abbie left for school the folding table was a mess & had only a few ornaments. She gets home, the “helper elves” are there, & the table is covered in $5 bills (I mean ornaments) that are drying. Might be a fine time to just be honest w/ ppl & say that Abbie only made 3? ornaments & w/ complete help. So much false advertising from them. It’s not right.

I too felt bad for Abbie when she was eating the zucchini bread. My kids have license to tear into snacks. It wasn’t before dinner, so not a huge deal. Fridge was unlocked & she wasn’t watched. Gotta expect her to eat. Rude to tell her no more for her when it didn’t even look like she had much.

Orange man bad. I get it. Please leave your TDS politics out of this group! Thank you!

No clue if Medicare even looks at parental/guardian income when it’s for special needs minors? I’m sure they’re still accepting free pull-ups & respite pay. They can most certainly afford it now. It’s almost like double dipping. Especially when they presumably give respite dollars to Crazy Nanny to make Abbie art to sell. She hasn’t been around. Maybe she’s finally sick of their constant greed.

Wait a minute...how about someone call the news source and tell them they have a big story if they are brave enough to pursue it? I dont understand how so many know about this but no one does anything to blow the story wide open. What are they afraid of? They say Abby can go to functions and grocery shopping now..due to her successful programs (she gets free.)The poor girl gets overwhelmed and has melt downs and tries to run off. Thank God she has not been hit, lost or grabbed by someone. She bathes herself? Then why is Asa the one helping her? Why has he in the past mentioned her small bosom, giggled at her expense and talked about bath routines? She is way too old for him to be helping her if Mom is available. Miss Priss should be helping her every single time. That's mom's job. Get out of bed and be her mother. Dont assume it is not embarrassing for Abby. You don't know. So give her dignity. She is way past the age of a Male taking care of her private needs and body. Unless there is no one else that can. Give her the respect and privacy she deserves. ASA SAYS MOM IS THERE...GET UP OFF YOUR BUTT AND HELP YOUR DAUGHTER! Sheesh that shouldn't even have to be said. I bet the reporter knew nothing of the shameful treatment of this defenseless child and that SHE is the true breadwinner of that family. Why are these people untouchable? Is no one brave enough to stand the gap for Abby and not give up? Where are the grandparents? Do they approve of what their kids are doing to this child? How could one possibly approve? That reporter needs to do the job and go the extra mile. Just sayin'.

For anyone questioning the Medicaid program that Abbie is on... (Not to support but to inform the public that doesn’t understand, as I am a Mom of 4 kids that are on the Autism Spectrum)... Pretense, Asa has said she has a waiver, which I am assuming she actually does...

Most states have Medicaid waivers for ID/D children and adults, which includes children and adults that are on the Autism Spectrum.

The Medicaid waivers are not income restricted. It is actually the opposite because it “waves” the income requirements on the household...

The Medicaid waiver also “waves” the right to institutionalize an ID/D person into an institution. The children and adults that are placed on the wait list or into the waivers, usually are at risk for being placed into an institution due to the parents not able to handle the needs of the child or adult...

The state’s DHHS department gives a set allotment of money, per year, for each child/adult on the waivers, to support the family and disabled person, to stay and live within the community. It is usually much cheaper for the state to pay $60-80k a year for care, than +/-$150k per person to be institutionalized for the rest of their life. The waiver pays for respite care, accessibility, after school programs, etc.

Once a person is placed on the waiver, that person receives the waiver usually the rest of their life. Just like if they were placed into an institution because basically a parent is saying “I promise not to institutionalize my child and will take care of them in my house, if the state will support us by giving us needed supports within the house and into the community for them.”

Here is the kicker though. Most states have very strict requirements for waivers. It takes psychological reports, living evaluations, and multiple phone interviews to even apply for your child to sit on a wait list. Most states have years long waitlists for these waiver programs (Florida is 7 years long), in comparison, my state just stated the average is 9.5 years long.

Personally, I am surprised with as little functioning that Abbie can do and how unsafe she is, that she could qualify. I wouldn’t be shocked if the state didn’t pull her waiver eventually because of how little they use the services. The state can pull waivers if they feel the child or adult isn’t safe or needs more than the waiver can give but it takes a lot of reporting that happens through the case worker and showing that the waiver isn’t being used due to more extensive care needed...
There is a lot more that can be done but because of her functioning ability (or lack of), they aren’t able to utilize the waiver to its capability. They do make sure to utilize the respite care though (which our state caps out at 135 hours a month, don’t know about Florida) but she could be getting after school music therapy, way more ABA (inwhich our state is a minimum of 20 hours, any less shows inefficiency), etc..

Also, I don’t see why she isn’t getting more ABA therapy and it was cut back. She still struggles with going into public, staying safe, meltdowns and running off.. Those are very huge issues that her ABA therapist could be working with her on...

Probably because every time the therapist tries to do her job she has a camera in her face and Asa hovering over her trying to tell her how to do her job. He also does this when Priscilla or Isaiah are trying to help her. He intervenes. I know that must be confusing for Abbie getting direction from 3 different ppl all at once.

As far as Medicaid goes, the problem I have with them receiving any gov assistance is the fact that Priscilla specifically said on live that they do not receive government assistance because that’s not how they were raised. Quite frankly that was a slap to a majority of their fans who probably do. Actually a few of their fans said they were offended by that comment she made.

I don’t even think they apologized but yet they are so quick to call out other ppl for questioning them. Like when viewers pointed out that poinsettias are poisonous to animals. Asa just had to come on the next vlog and point out that they are actually not poisonous and only may cause minor upset stomach. Either way why did he feel the need to point it out. He has a very I’m right, you’re wrong mentality and rarely owns up to mistakes he makes.
I am surprised that a therapist would actually allow themselves to be filmed. I know in our state, we have to ask and they can always decline. I know our offices always have a “no cameras or video cameras” allowed signs on the doors..

I also cannot imagine Abbie having so many people in her face. When mine do therapy, we may incorporate one of ourselves into their space but never more and we are only there for support and usually very quiet and listening..

It pissed me off to when they say that they don’t get assistance. Almost all kids and adults that have special needs do get assistance and that assistance is for their child. It is life and they need to get over it. They aren’t super rich and even the super rich still seek out programs to help keep their wealth... I mean, who has $20/hr x 40 hours a week +benefits to pay someone to come do ABA therapy for years on end and that is just the beginning..

Oh yes and Asa on never being wrong.. I have had the displeasure of dealing with people like this before and it is irritating and frustrating to live and deal with him.. I can’t imagine..
