The videos have great quality but the content is horrible.. He literally doesn’t know what he is talking about some days and others, makes a mockery out of himself or even what Autism is because if he knew what actual parents that have children purely just on the Autism Spectrum, he should feel lucky he doesn’t have to parent a child with just Autism... I know (I have multiple children on the Autism Spectrum) and his one thumb nail of “Abbie hates schedules,” and then goes on to say that Abbie hates routines and schedules, just goes to show you where her mind frame is in infant/toddler range with IDD and how far off she is from the Autism Spectrum. Every single child and adult that I have had the pleasure of being around (or parenting), likes/loves/thrives on schedules and routines.. It is part of what qualifies them to be on the Autism Spectrum is the rigid thinking and unbendable scheduling..
I honestly wonder how long they can keep up the Autism front. After awhile people are going to start questioning her diagnosis. She seems to be getting worse honestly and I believe it’s because they are too busy recording and putting their effort into meat tables.

Priscilla is so try hard. You fed your guest nothing but salami, bread and grapes.

Looking at the channel page under the video tab, I see thumbnails with large gaudy inconsistently used fonts and colors with Abbie's face.
Looks like the channel is directed to kids or at least about a kid to me.
I never considered that "the mother" could be putting her own money into the pyramid scheme aka MLM in order to remain on top but it makes sense to me.
Oh what a tangled web we weave........

I’m still trying to figure this channel out. Sounds like when they started it was for autism awareness but I think it snowballed into what its is today. They seem to really reach for new content now that this is the way they are making a living. I would absolutely hate having my daily life filmed constantly. I do think they need to be more discreet about the filming of abby. Nothing seems to be off limits. Not sure how long they can continue all this without burning out. Just my opinion

I too am wondering the same thing. I saw a video from two years ago and they were working with her grabbing food. This still persists and seems to be getting worse? I am Not an expert at all on ASD or IDD but a quick google search leaves one wondering. If in fact she is mostly an IDD then they are doing a huge disservice, even unethical to anyone watching their channel.

Abbie looks to be in the profound category of the intellectually disabled chart.... all while Asa trying to market themselves as autism experts based on raising Abbie.. who may not actually even have autism at all. He should. be calling himself fathering intellectual disability.

Hmm so I showed a family member who use to work with special needs children and she said in her opinion Abbie isn’t autistic at all just severely intellectually disabled and she said that they typically have autistic tendencies but aren’t autistic, so why are they pushing autism so hard or are they that much in denial.

Personally I think it all goes back to Asa and whatever mental/personality disorder he is afflicted with. He display characteristics of many but most notable Narcissistic Personality disorder. I believe they both initially were embarrassed of Abbie’s action in public. I’m sure in the beginning she may have been diagnosed as Autistic. How easy to start a channel called “Fathering Autism” to explain her sorry to say, bizarre behavior in public. I think as the years have progressed she appears to be much more IDD with some Autistic tendencies. Now doing the right thing, he would change his channel name to Fathering Intellectual Development Disability, However how many people really now what IDD is and how is was formally referred to as mental retardation. Asa cannot, will not, ever bring himself to say that Abbie is ********, the term is to crass, offensive. I probably would say my child is autistic too, rather then IDD because of the negative, unfortunate stigma that goes along with it. However I am not filming my child 24/7 and put all on YouTube for those to see in attempt to “spread Autism awareness” This is fraudulent, unethical behavior especially to those of both the Autistic and IDD community.

100% correct and I completely agree.. Many children, as they grow and learn (or not learn or regress), have their diagnoses change. It was a reason I asked about Abbie having current evaluations within the last 3 years. If she is still running under a mental retardation diagnosis, it means she doesn’t have a current diagnosis evaluation (because that diagnosis is no longer acceptable). When you have a loved one with a mental health disorder, they need to be re-evaluated every 3 years, to keep their diagnosis paperwork updated because they can change..
Also, the reason he won’t change it to IDD is because he makes money off the Autism tag line. He goes to conferences to submit his “knowledge,” though who knows where that has came from? As far as I knew, they stuck her in a back room, while he worked and she ran the business, while just sending her to school for years. He wasn’t up googling, taking her to therapies, and then working as much as he could, constantly every day, to make sure she was succeeding...
I know because I seen the videos of when Abbie was little. She reminds me of my oldest daughter... My oldest does have Autism, LD/DD (not IDD because she can and is still learning as much as she can but is still behind some), has apraxia (went through 2-1/2 years of being non-verbal but I had her going to 35 hours of speech therapy and then working every day with her, at age 5-6 and she started to talk again), and lots of anxiety, sensory processing, etc... At the end of the day, I have busted my tail end off to get her to where she is at... I can say, I have dumped everything that I could into my child, even now that she is an teenager, she is still learning (she is 2 years from being a full adult).. I stayed up at night, researching, watching YouTube videos (not of families but educators), going to the library for books and research material, etc... We have successes, we have failures, we have regression but then we have victories.. What we don’t have? Shoving cameras in our kids faces, staying up editing videos, telling your kid(s) your to busy because you are “working” though just on the phone or editing videos, or anything else to distract us from our children. We are making sure that our children are thriving, learning and developing to their full potential... Sadly, I just don’t see that from them, which is horribly sad... Everytime they deny Abbie from playing with toys, making messes, and not disciplining her for bad behavior, they are doing her a disservice of learning and growing as a child..

You are so right, It is unethical and their fans eat it right up. I saw someone ask in the comments if Abbie believed in Santa. Someone replied and said they don’t think she understands. Well, that person got replied to rudely asking how they knew she didn’t understand if Asa and Priscilla didn’t say so.

Sometimes I wonder if their fans are watching the same videos. Seems the fans are just as delusional as Asa and Priscilla, but that’s probably because Asa and Priscilla don’t reply to comments that ask those kind of questions. They know answering will lead to more truth about Abbies disability. It’s really messed up.

😆😆😆 NOT SPONSORED!!! 😆😆😆. I love it!!
Everybody should reach out on IG to every single # she throws out there and ask them why they would want to be associated with these people who exploit Abbie. Remind them that Abbie is non verbal and severely DD. Explain that even of Abbie has an opinion about their product, she couldn't express it.
Working on it, one email at a time.. Already heard back from Bounty today... Also, yes, they are one company that my family is very loyal to and has been for a very long time.

I wonder if Abbie started out having autism/IDD and over time the IDD became more prominent? I have seen videos of her when she was much younger at surfers for autism and she seemed better at that time.. as far as how she interacted with other people.

Also I wonder if some of the "Stims". she has are causing her IDD to become worse.. like the aggressive rocking especially when in the car. It can't be good to slam her head back and forth continuously with such force. Asa even said that the entire car rocks when she does this.

Does ABA work for IDD? Do some of the tactics they use to teach still work... or I wonder if she should be taught in a different way ?

I’m not sure about Florida, but in my state; the social security and disability allowance is much higher for the autism label. Most parent want the autism label so therefore their children receive the most services and money!

I know in our state, it doesn’t matter. The only difference is, is that we do have grants for private schooling and it goes based on needs. Those needs are within 5 eligibility criteria (out of the 13 eligibility requirements you can receive under an IEP) and Autism is first and IDD is listed next...
When it comes to SSI, there is no differences with money. They either qualify or not and based upon their purchases (vehicles) and household (income), they would not qualify. Their life insurance policies alone would not make them eligible to get her benefits because until a child turns 18 years old, the parents income and assets are used against the child..
Now, as far as services, she definitely would qualify more for certain services with an Autism diagnosis, over top of an IDD. Those waivers usually run parallel but with that diagnosis, it would open her up for career placement, college, etc., which means sadly, she could end up not allowing another child to go because those funds are allocated aside for her but she may never be able to use them..
Like I said, these are through her Medicaid waivers and certain waivers grant those opportunities and services. Hers may, if her primary diagnosis is Autism but I hope she was required to do an adaptive living skills assessment, which would show her capabilities of living independently and they would not have her placed in those services (because there is no way Abbie is going to college to major in anything, sorry, hate to say it but there is no programs there).. I don’t know how far her school goes and then she will need to transition over to a day program..

Also, her “clicking” sounds may actually not be stimming but actual tics... If you combine all the motor tics she has (swinging her while body, rocking, eye squinting, etc), it actually shows more of a Tourette’s disorder..

Also, yes, when I see her in younger videos, I definitely see where more Autism characteristics were showing up. As she has aged and not grown much cognitively, the IDD is showing itself a lot more and in my eyes, has taken over her Autism diagnosis.

This is very true for some children that are diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum.. In our area, a doctor very rarely will diagnose a child being on the Autism Spectrum before the age of 8-10 years old. Our doctors (I say doctors but it is usually psychologists or developmental/behavioral specialists) use a diagnosis of either developmental delayed or PDD-NOS. If a child is mildly behind, they may issue a DD, just to get some help. If a child is showing a lot of characteristics, then usually a PDD-NOS is used and they can start on ABA and handfuls of therapies and medication trials. Only if a child is severely off (around Abbie’s case or worse) and cannot function daily for even a few minutes, they may be given a young diagnosis of Autism.. Saying this, our doctors are always re-evaluating and should be re-evaluating to make sure the diagnosis fits, along with therapies and current needs of the child..

Saying all this, we do have some parents that will push for an early diagnosis of Autism. They think they have to have it, to get services. The services they want have 7-10 year wait lists. They take the diagnosis and get the same therapies that a PDD-NOS child would have received. They hit early intervention running and by the time the child hits 8 years old, the Autism characteristics are gone. The doctors nor schools can see them. They may see ADHD (which is common in Autism kids) but the Autism characteristics are gone but wait! The parents fight because there isn’t a cure for Autism.. It is because the diagnosis was given at way too young of an age... I am seeing this more and more, as they try to diagnosis younger and younger children...

Abbie was diagnosed at a young age. I wouldn’t be shocked at all, if her diagnosis didn’t change.. I just don’t think they want it to change because the current media mainstream is all about Autism right now... IDD is barely looked at and still has more of a negative cognition, even with the change from MR to IDD.

PS. I also went to screenshot a comment but it was deleted. If you are reading this (*not accusing anyone directly, but if you read my post*) and commented about Abbie burning down the house.. I want to say, I read the rest of your post and you are a horrible person to say that to someone.. I may give a lot of harsh criticism to this family but they don’t deserve what you posted and that was way over the line...
