Happy Hanukkah to your daughter. A lot of us Jews love Christmas, we look at it in a secular way. It's not about Jesus being born, it's not about anything Christian in our eyes. It's about the decorations, the presents, the being around family and there's something magical about Santa. Some people say Santa is about Saint Nicholas, but to me he's a fictional character. It's not religious to me. It's just fun. There's a lot of Jewish people like me who feel the same way. Happy Holidays to everyone!
Growing up, our family always celebrated St. Nicholas Day (December 6th) we’d leave our shoes by the door the night of the 5th and wake up with candy and small gifts. A tradition that I’ve carried into my own family

forgot to mention both my family and wife’s family are from a German background and st Nicholas is very popular among German families

Asa’s reply above - what stood out was a sponsored video didn’t happen. 😀 he cooked the probably free food anyway, no doubt Hello Fresh but he doesn’t mention company. He wants cash in exchange.

I was trying to find that tweet someone posted about the holidays and a dollar store being closed or being opened? I don’t know why.

Asa could be under weather but they more likely had zero bookings to invest time in it. Otherwise anyone could have played Santa, or they could have hired one. Sherry would have made a fetching Santa.

I would love to give you recommended reading on Judaism, but the fact is, I didn't learn this from a book. But I learned about Judaism from my dad, he was born and raised an Orthodox Jew, and when he married my mom also Jewish, they decided after my older Brother's Briss (Jewish male circumcision ceremony), they were traumatized and we all became Reform Judaism. My younger brother had his circumcision at the hospital. All three of us don't know how to speak Hebrew and yet we know & memorized the prayers needed for ceremonies, because our dad made us.
As for Hanukkah, it's a celebration for 8 days, you light the lights at night and you could do anything during the day, work or go to school. Even though it's the festival of lights it's not an equivalent to Christmas. Some Jews give presents some don't. Obviously it's for the kids, to keep them involved. It's actually not part of the ceremony. It's just a nice tradition that most parents do to make their kids happy. My dad let me pick out anything I wanted for Hanukkah. So I'd say I have happy memories of it. ❤
I’m pretty much of a cultural Jew, not a religious one at all. I was raised reformed and stopped going to services after my confirmation (8th grade). My son got Bar Mitzvahed and then my kids stopped going to temple after that obligation was done. I am proud to be Jewish though even though I’m not observing. I was brought up among many Jewish kids. A very suburban upbringing. I would not want to be anything else than what I am. I don’t know Hebrew either, and have no desire to go to Israel. My Hanukkah presents were always given at Christmas…ha!

When Assa says "Super Kuuutee" I want to vomit.
He needs to just come out of the damn closet already!

They showed a box from Every Plate on the island a few vlogs back. Lauren used to do those kind of often. Kind of makes you wonder what happened because those are pretty simple to throw together. They belong to Hello Fresh.

TRAGIC NEWS Boys and Girls and All of our Gender Fluid and Non-Binary Friends: Santa Claus is sick and can’t come to SelfishWRLD JAX today!

View attachment 907293
Translation. No one signed up to come to SelfieWrld so the lie is Santa was sick! Geez, you can't even trust Santa anymore.

Thanks, Melissa, that's more than I knew and I'm ashamed about it but I'll do some research on the Google's. ❤

*We can tell that you are reading here. Ab comes home from school, he makes her put away her stuff, of course she's complaining about it. Snack time happens, she picks cookies and other sugary snacks on the iPad. ASSa then finds the crackers button and then he hits Cheez-Its. Puts it in a bowl, and then he puts a cut up banana inside. He's basically saying, hey look I can give her some snacks that are actually nutritious and look there's a piece of fruit.
*Cheez-Its are not the best snack in the world, but there's fiber 🤷
*Goes to Dunkin' with Abs, says to her we are not going to get you a donut. I'm going there for coffee. We are trying to teach her that this routine blah blah blah and therefore we're not going to have a donut.
*Assa tell me what kind of donut did Abby get?

Do you also put your shoes outside the door for St. Nick to fill with goodies or coal depending on your behavior? We lived in Germany for 3 years and learned to do this. My dad was military and the only German I remember is dummkopf (dum head). Neighbor German kids taught us this little gem.

I dont believe for a second he went to Dunkin and did not get her a donut... it would be a supreme meltdown..she was already half meltdown ing in the car when they were leaving. Did he film the part where he went to dunkin and only got coffee? If it had worked out 100% it would be in the VLOG. Also ...all the stores they went in and out..how many treats did he give her to do that?

When the Golden Boy drove Sweet Girl to school before departing to Boone, Big P told him to be careful because he was driving “precious cargo.” Never did she utter a greater truth by referring to her “cash cow” daughter in that fashion.

That portable plug-in sink: Big P has filmed four lives with it so far. Running it like it was connected to the plumbing because it wasn’t warm enough to wash her face yet. Here comes Santa Claus to save the day. She probably didn’t turn the water heater on. So many things to remember! And then she didn’t turn the tap off promptly. Complained again that it was making a noise. Probably air in the pipe as she had used up the water. Time for Santa to empty the gray tank and fill up the fresh tank. For over $1,200, he sure created more work for himself.
Summer has put up another incredibly worthless vlog. The only thing I liked was the pups. You could get sick as she whips around with the camera and keeps repeating herself saying nothing of interest. This girl has problems beside having no personality unless Assa is hyping her up.

What the hell did I just watch? Why the hell did I watch it? Who the hell cares?
Summer needs more MH help than I imagined and, her friend there... Kylie? Could benefit from it as well.
What's up with Summer's parents! They also seem .... out there ...as well!

First thing I noticed when Asa opened P's car door was the package of candy on the console between the seats.
If Abbie didnt get a donut he wouldve shown the Dunkin visit, instead of wandering around looking for distilled water.
Nooooo! Abbie doesnt only give P a hard time.
So Tuesdays vlog will be the lit paper bags on the lawns of their historic neighborhood, and Abbie trying to grab all the snacks/cookies at the neighbors houses again.
For someone who calls himself a "creator", he has no new content.

I was appalled too. We had to put our beloved pup down almost 18 months ago, and it truly was one of the hardest, most difficult times I have ever went through! She would have been escorted out the door

This actually made me cry…what a good guy you had!!! Beautiful story-thanks for sharing.
And BTW I have been remembering to get the oil changed, lol.

I was telling hubby about Selfie World, and how they've closed 2 days a week and have abbreviated hours for the rest of the week. We've been in retail for a long time (mom & pop)and not quite the same as a service only related business, he worked for a chain before we opened our place and to us it looks like they have employee problems (lack of help) and also little to no profits. And I'll add they're also asses and don't know what they're doing. heehee

That's true, I remember my friends and I being more excited to do Christmas things when we were in high school and college, especially because we often had to wait till Christmas break started (and finals were over) to really start celebrating.

Asa's understanding of human relationships is like Priscilla's understanding of clothing, makeup, and interior design...he can look at and identify things that are normal or desirable, but he can't correctly copy them, because he misses out on all the nuances. His "too old to decorate" thing maybe started with a kernel of truth...which is that teens and young adults don't participate in as many holiday traditions with their families as they get older. But that's not because they've grown out of being excited, it's because they've grown into having things like friends and responsibilities and jobs. None of which anyone in the Maass family has...and Asa isn't capable of paying enough attention to other humans beings to even begin to imagine an experience outside of his own, so he just chalks it up to a simplistic explanation of the kids being "too old."
Perfectly said. You expounded on what I was saying or trying to say. Lol. It reminds me of a psychopath that has to study and fake real human emotion to try and pass for "normal".

My on topic point is do the Maassives know the roots of their faith? Does Isaiah know why Christmas is celebrate other than Jesus birth and getting more useless presents? Do they attend Mass on Holy Days of Obligation? I’m not saying religion is everything but those people have claimed to be Catholic yet never speak of it until they mess up, like the nun costume.
Priscilla doesn't even know why there are farm animals at the Nativity. That witch is not Catholic, nor is she any other kind of Christian. They once claimed they don't go to church because they can't find one that would include Abbie...but we all know it's because their lazy fat asses don't actually care.
