where to start with that self absorbed diatribe of FODs.....ffs diabetes has been around for millenia....there is no 1 cause for it and while it's maybe possible that COVID 'could' have triggered something in Ms immune system( as could a cold or flu virus) , it's not conclusive...as is the case with so many autoimmune diseases ( I have another life limiting autoimmune disease and have no idea what triggered it, ( could have been a virus, I'll never know) but what I do know is that I am empowered and can make the best of a crappy situation .Diabetic research has come on in leaps in last decade and there are amazing products to help make life that bit easier.
What a shame that despite all your bragging about your wonderful house and begging for freebies , you can't control this illness....tough isn't it?....this is Ms reality , you need to be the bigger person here and support your daughter and in meantime maybe stay off social media

I remember being in hospital with my son who was asthmatic and was being treated for a severe chest infection and two middle class twerps were insisting that their child had caught asthma off another child

he reminds me of that couple, looking for someone or something to blame

And as far as I’m aware, from what I’ve heard, it’s could have been any virus that sets diabetes off. My daughter was diagnosed 11 years ago, before covid was around, and that was the current thinking then. She came down with a cold about a month before she was diagnosed.

Also, just as an aside, Lila Moss posted a pic of herself on the catwalk wearing an Omnipod (insulin pump) on her leg the other day. That’s how you do it. Can you imagine Kate Moss posting a self indulgent story on IG where she’s blubbering into her phone camera?! Nope.

It would be an easy mistake to make if you didn’t know what it was But for thousands of kids who also have diabetes, I thought it was awesome. There’s a bit of a stigma around T1 these days because it gets lumped in with T2 so it was great to see some representation. Good for her!

So upset about his daughter having diabetes that not so long ago, he set off for a weekend away and into the journey is very miffed that she has forgotten to bring her medical kit with her. As if it were something himself or Clemmie should have ensured was in the car with them!

And ref the post asking if they’d had Covid, didn’t they (apparently) have it twice? The stories he gave on it didn’t add up time wise - think it coincided with him filming one of the kids lying on a supermarket shelf!
