Yeah these are being bought. I’m too tired to do the maths but imagine that 3% click through to his Insta, say 2% follow… how many page views would that budget looking autogenerated content site have to get for that 2% to be circa 10k?

Is he buying bots that look like genuine accounts/buying ‘real’ responses? As in are the bots sophisticated enough to put what looks like a real response under the post as opposed to just emoji responses?

Just checked the post & he hash tagged it with competition so it’s possible there are bots or even real accounts trawling that hashtag to follow & comment to win. I’ve noticed it when small indie companies do them, if they hashtag competition they get so much spam and tat under their post that most of them don’t. But it’s obviously paid off for him, between the bots and p*dos he’s had a great day

Agreed. 10,000 new followers (or thereabouts) in three days is HUGE at a time when it's really bloody hard to grow a genuine following. If there's a legitimate reason why new people are following in their thousands, he ought to be mentioning/reposting/thanking whatever was the trigger, welcoming new followers, trying to keep the buzz going. Why aren't you shouting about it Simon?
Even with yesterday's mega increase of over 6,000 (thanks @Emmadale for the screenshots), his current giveaway has only had an additional twelve (12) entries in the last 24 hours.
You have to be a UK resident to enter the competition so that cuts out a huge amount of his followers.
And the tit prize cuts out the rest.
