The house is beautiful but way too big for just the 2 of them. At least that's the feeling I get . It looks like they bought it for instagram. I call it the instagramable house Which is all fine and well but completely removed from reality. Even if they have enough money for the upkeep, it just makes no sense. I certainly wish them well but I wonder how the whole thing is going to continue.

I completely agree. I think it was purchased as a business decision, rather than a life decision. I think she saw ITF and others getting so much content and freebies out of their house move that she wanted in on some of the action.

I mean, imagine living in that house and everyday having to think of ways to sell it in order to earn it. It's all very sad. She must wake up every single day under pressure think about how she can sell her life to make money from it. It's like social prostitution. Her work life balance must be terrible. Pink Shorts is her squire.

Honestly, given the difference in size to her previous home, she should get some basic furniture and live in the rooms she plans to live in later. Work out how the space works for her, what the lighting is like in different areas, what she needs etc. and then, in 6 months when she knows what she wants and what will work get the place done up properly. She can be frank about that, people would understand not wanting to commit to a potentially expensive mistake, even rich people don't redecorate every 12 months.

My problem with her is that on the one hand she tries to portray such a fairytale lifestyle and on the other hand quite frankly seems to be in dire straits financially. She could just be a bit more down to earth in her videos and explain her process, her ideas, her plans, not being quite sure what she wants yet etc. That would create content that isn't garden related, isn't going on about gifted things, isn't expensive and would even give her a bit of breathing room regarding the expectations of her viewers, it might even up her engagement, who knows.

The constant garden content is boring, but watching a painter paint the walls isn't much fun either. Watching her and Pink Shorts do it might be entertaining though. And it wouldn't be a massive expense that results in different coloured rooms with... still no furniture.

Today's video was very odd.
I can't understand why she included the episode with Charlie and I can't understand why she included the dog weeing on the rug.

There is absolutely no excuse for Charlie's behaviour but I don't think she is afraid of him or intimidated by him. In the past I have felt that she could be quite spiteful and manipulative and I think that is why she included the episode with Charlie....to punish him or she is setting up the 'divorce' narrative.

I found today's video very uncomfortable to watch, she had an 'attitude' throughout. Very irritated and snarky.

I mean if that’s your opinion, then a lot of people don’t work hard at their jobs because they’re not medical or not physically grueling. being a blogger or YouTuber takes creativity and some level of know how, so I think it’s unfair to say that because it’s from home or because it’s glamorous it involves little to no work. Lots of work is involved, it just might not be what you consider “hard.”

my issue with her isn’t that, it’s the level of shallowness, the lack of accountability and the fact that she doesn’t seem to live in reality. I understand when you’re a fashion blogger you need to shill fashion, but how many dresses can she “wear for years to come!”? How many new clothes will she get in a week?! It’s just absurd.

I kind of disagree on this. Among the influencers she might be considered hard working. But compared to others who are answerable to a boss or are responsible to pay wages to a bunch people, she isn’t. To top it they are paid ridiculously over content that contributes nothing to the society. The scamming and lying happens over the already inflated paychecks they receive.

Horrible as it may sound, this pandemic has opened eyes of a lot people. We need to value our healthcare system, our essential workers who worked round the clock to make sure our countries still could function the way it is right now. Unfortunately when someone like Josie is considered hard working it dismisses all the work rest of the country has been doing, all the while trying to maintain a work-life balance.

Foreclosure might happen if her YouTube channel dies and sponsorship's die off. She only has a degree in fashion and I do as well I know the struggle with that... typically your job lasts one year then you move to the next position. Typical designer in NYC makes 65,000 to 70,000 USD a year. Unless you become head designer (rare) they sit in that position until they croak... ehhh. SO she will have to come up with something... PINK Short's "model" career isn't enough... unless he is a trust fund baby..

In yesterday's vlog when showing all the boxes for unboxing she actually tries to hide the address with her hand...can she be so thick ? by now, anybody who wanted to do a bit ot research online would have figured out where the house is. So careless and stupid.

So the real estate office has blurred the photos, but I had a few copies saved before they did that if
anyone wants to see these! I kept them because I love the wood floors, my husband and I are building
a home next year, and I am obsessed with Tudor, Farmhouse, and Georgian style homes.. I have a little
folder of photos from a bunch of houses so it will be hard to decide what I want to do.
I do not like where the toilet is in the master bathroom...But I like the mirror and sink placement..

I have no idea, but I find it hard to believe they don't have access to one. Maybe Lala has a washing machine in the guest house that they can use... maybe they took their old washing machine with them in the move and are only saying that they don't have one as a promt to brands that they want one. Who knows? But as others have pointed out, Pink SHorts wears those pink shorts on a daily basis and they don't look horribly dirty from the gardening, so unless they do a lot of handwashing, they must have access to a washing machine somewhere.

Or Pink Shorts has 5 identical pairs of those shorts, considering his shoe collection... who knows what his shorts collection looks like

that was what i was trying to tell on the first thread. begging is so obvious. i don't watch lydia so i have nothing to compare but josie's begging is
cringeworthy. with the aga, english countryside and a flat in london, it reminds me fleur's life only fleur is really wealthy. i think charlie and josie aspire to be like them. not particularly fleur and mike but that kind of wealthy people. (sorry for my english. it's not my mother tongue. i'm having hard time to explain what i really want to say )

That's probably because he's high from all the attention and admiration he's getting from his granny fan base .

Which makes me wonder, do you guys think he has read the comments on his inappropriate outburst the other day and does he realize that lots of people think he is an annoying abusive freeloader? He still seems to be as full of himself as ever and very willing to be in her vlogs .

My gut instinct is that Charlie has limited capacity to sense other peoples feelings, or know what is appropriate social behaviour.

He just seems to have blinkers on all the time - you'll notice that he never really interacts with Josie. He just talks at her about things he thinks he knows a lot about. He seems to be driven by pure inner emotion. He does what he feels like doing. He orders crap because he feels it will look good.

That said, he's very into detail and organisation and grooming. Everything needs to be perfect. Plates need to match, knives need to look straight. He doesn't like mess. He's a completist. This could be the result of his feelings of being out of control elsewhere in his life - the bigger picture perhaps. Maybe he feels emasculated by being a 'blogger boyfriend' with no real purpose of his own?

She seems to be developing a pattern of compensatory behaviour with him - she knows when to shut him up by distracting him with the dogs. She indulges him in his cooking and organising when she needs new 'content'. She likes his pretentious food habits "oooh, look at all these scrummy cheeses Char Char got from Daylesford Farm" because it elevates her own self. But then she discards him when he serves no purpose. It's really sad to see, for both for them.
