Family Fizz #11 Fizzled out of minimalist living, now it's time to spend without (much) giving!

For me personally I don’t see Mia as a bully, but she does come across like a brat who hasn’t matured yet. And she does behave in ways that aren’t acceptable for an 18 year old woman.

There are hundreds of posts on these threads about how uncomfortable the sexualisation and exploitation of the kids makes everyone feel. Not one post has ever suggested their upbringing is ok, nobody has ever claimed Georgie and Darren are good parents, everyone has always been in agreement that they have always disregarded any boundaries for the girls. We are all 100% on the girls side for that.

But none of that makes Mia innocent. It doesn’t excuse her behaviour. A lot of people have crappy childhoods and don’t go onto behave in the way she does. She’s is 18 now, she wants to be treated like an adult so she should take some responsibility for her behaviour like an adult would. She is very naive and has a lot to learn about the world because of her upbringing, but she is old enough to know right from wrong and if she doesn’t it is Georgies responsibility to ensure she learns - and fast. She doesn’t get a free pass to behave how she does because her parents exploited her.

I’ve never seen any comments about Mia’s skin that are anything other than advice or dismay that she hasn’t been given help. A lot of people feel sorry for her that she’s had to suffer to the point her skin is irreparably damaged when it never had to be. I’ve never seen a single post that judges her for her skin.

But not a single thing that’s happened to Mia excuses her horrendous dress sense. She wants to portray herself as an 18 year old in to clothes, fashion and make up etc and that’s ok - but she actually needs to learn how to style her outfits first. Because right now she looks like she throws on the dregs of the charity shop bin and tries to claim its high end fashion.

Yes brat is a much better word to describe it than bullying I agree. I guess when I see her picking on Sienna wanting to put her down it could be considered bullying or being really unkind but yeah it’s more bratty behaviour than bullying to be fair .

Exactly we are not calling out the way Mia behaves because we want to hurt the girls feeling we just find it concerning that she’s 18 years old but a lot of the time thinks and behaves like a 13 year old and she will never mature if nobody close to her looks out for her.

That’s why I’m confused too cause there’s so many posts calling out Darren and Georgie for exploiting the kids, inappropriate thumbnails and we’ve all been in agreement that they are the ones to blame and in the wrong so how anyone can say we’ve blamed the kids and hated on the kids just shows people should read the threads properly rather than assuming things.

I agree especially as she’s 18 now she has to start to learn at some point how to be mature and how to treat others with respect. If she wants to be treated like an adult she has to be responsible cause I would hate to see her immaturity get her into trouble or prevent her from growing up. Yeah she’s 18 I’m not expecting her to have the wisdom of someone much older so she’s going to make mistakes but
like you said excuses can’t always be made for someone cause some people have had awful upbringings or we’ve all gone through hard times but we can’t use those things as an excuse to behave a certain way. She is very naive and unfortunately with an immature mum like Georgie and a money hungry step dad like Darren it’s unlikely she’ll mature for a long time.

I agree as awful as exploiting children is and the negative effects it has on the kids it’s not an excuse for her cause if we use it for everything she says and does then she would never learn anything.

Same I’ve never seen anyone make fun of Mia for her skin. It’s so sad to see her with all these deep scars on her face when a lot of them could of been prevented but Darren and Georgie didn’t care enough to get the right help which I think is unforgivable.

If they never put their kids online in the first place to exploit them then none of us would have to be here concerned about the dangers of family vlogging. Those kids have missed out on a lot. Sienna would love a dog and friends of her own more than designer shopping sprees. It’s things like that I find sad and I’m glad other people notice things like this cause it shows there’s decent people in the world who know Darren and Georgie are not being good parents for a lot of reasons.

Firstly if you actually took time to read through these threads you will see the amount of time many of us say we do NOT blame the kids for how they’ve turned out we blame DARREN AND GEORGIE.

If you read through the older threads the main focus has always been on D&G's refusal to put any of them in stable education, their exploitative lifestyle, their ignorance and detachment from real life issues (see: homeless video and honestly the majority of their challenge videos), recent unsustainable designer spending sprees, etc. These things are obviously going to result as improper behaviour in mia & sienna

In the new “we buy anything on credit card until found” video at around 18:50 does Justin say the call was about “a house in bondi” or “our house in bondi”?? Really sounded like “a” but the preview of the ‘tour’ I think sockie says “our house in bondi!”.

If they are looking at a different house again then omg these poor kids. They need to stop getting their hopes up. If they keep messing around with this whole moving house thing, I hope sabre will get fed up and look into moving out. Although I doubt she has access to her money and she obvs isn’t as mature as most 18 year olds.

Many, manyyyyyy issues with Georgie’s stories and posts, but I felt that wasn’t a reason to call her out because she apparently said it was spring. I thought most people go by the 3 month rule in the UK (we do here in Ireland!). Of course seasons are different elsewhere, etc.

But as a 35 year old woman she shouldn’t of posted about getting hate in comments about that. Bit immature to be reacting to it?

I don't understand how she would have got hate comments about when spring starts. I thought that was how everyone ( in the UK at least) saw the seasons. I'm aware Australia would be totally different. Maybe they were uneducated people from other countries that don't know the differences of other countries.....IF in fact she was getting hate. With the whole Jon and Catherine thing, I believe Jon went back to eating meat so could have been the reason but then again things could be ok, they just haven't seen them in a long time. We all know they don't like bringing in other people for too long. I mean they live in the same place as Bob and Katie so what's the reasoning they don't see them as much and to let Sienna see JoJo so both kids actually get to be kids and have fun together

Like what @hayley said Jon and Katherine went back to eating meat they’re no longer vegan so that could be part of the reason they don’t seem to be close or have much of a friendship with Jon and Katherine anymore like they used to but I think maybe the big reason as to why they no longer are close to them is because a couple years ago maybe 2/3 years Jon went hunting and killed deer. I think he posted a photo of the deer he shot or it was a YouTube vlog he did I can’t remember exactly but he received backlash for it from people and family fizz unfollowed him and Katherine around this time as they had been following both of them on the family fizz account up until that point.

Georgie seems to have no problem with Katherine as they still follow eachother on their instagrams and from looking through Katherine’s instagram you can see Georgie still comments on her posts here and there so they seem friendly with each other still. I get the feeling they might have more of a problem towards Jon for hunting and killing deer cause if they just didn’t like them for not being vegan it wouldn’t make sense based on the fact Georgie and Katherine still seem to get along with no problems whereas family fizz don’t follow or give Jon any interest from what I’ve seen.

Obviously I don’t know for sure as things could be fine between them all and maybe they just got busy with their own lives and have no issues with eachother but no matter what different countries they all lived in they always used to find a way to see each other and meet up even when karma was born and Katherine had a baby the same year they still all met up so to go from that to nothing it does make you wonder what happened there.

Unless the nursery school they send Karma and Koa to is Vegans only, they are likely to be socialising with non-Vegans. Koa even knows cows milk can be a drink as he said he had cows milk in his milkshake on the latest vlog - although Georgie quickly corrected him.

I do hope they socialise with non vegans too as they can't fully shelter those kids from anyone that are not vegan.

But I can 100% get the falling out with Jon, hunting deer and eating meat are separate things to me, he took part in the killing. It could be a little pathetic but it is morals at the end of the day. And as vegans, I can 100% understand why that's upsetting. As D and G are known to have quite strong ridiculous beliefs too it's easy to understand

It's more the fact it was for fun cuz he didn't need to shoot the deer to survive.
