Well done for knowing it's not for you, I know plenty of law grads who only figured that out further down the line! There seems to be lots of rose tinted glasses in Law Schools.
Oh I want to stay in law, but I've definitely moved away from the "magic circle" ideal that a lot of people seem to have, people think it's all high flying and Suits-esque, but I've found a job in a small-town, family firm where there's none of that pressure and it's 40 hours a week and done. Is it the same pay? No, but I'm good with that 😂

am i the only one that thinks her new video’s title is hilarious? She’s acting as if it’s an amazing promotion that she deserved. After 2 year you’re a qualified solicitor. Plus someone (I think) on here said that you usually stay on to becoming an associate in the firm where you did your training. It’s not incredible eve

The “vote for me” thing sickens me.

Every time I’m asked to vote for someone, be it online or in real life, I purposefully go to the voting page and vote for who I think looks like the most different candidate to the person who asked me.

So she hasn't posted anything for like half a year and suddenly uploads a video sponsored by skillshare. Nice. She's such a disappointment.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but Eve's story about Emma Chamberlain at the Met Gala has annoyed me. The Met Gala has obviously historically been very elitist, but it literally isn't anymore (that's a different argument lol). Addison fucking Rae was invited this year and whether you like her or not, you have to recognise that the event is pretty much a shitshow now. Telling Emma to "take em down" because she went to the event is just like ???? nonsensical. Take who down? The event is already bottom of the barrel babe

Urgh at her posting this on LinkedIn. Why is she still clinging onto corporate law - YOU LEFT. Go find a new path.

I just find it so odd, its the same as if someone left investment banking to become a hairdresser but then continued to collaborate with banks and speak at their events about working in banking. It’s weird, Eve let it go and go make your boring ass contract automation system

But she is not a woman in tech as she says in her instagram? Her linkedin says she's is a product manager, which is very different from actually working in tech.

She's currently patting herself on the back in her Instagram stories for how creative and how much research she's been doing and oh god, she's doing a Roe v Wade video...

After the tasteless, exploitative, tone-deaf Alec Baldwin video and the two fluff messes that followed, she should not be allowed anywhere near this kind of serious subject matter. She's learned nothing.

The MCC thing is so very strange to me. I find it quite unprofessional that she hasn't addressed it at all, there's a lot of people on the Instagram page asking about it as well. Unless she got somebody else involved or sold it and the other party completely took over (kinda what happened to the youtuber Kenna and her skincare brand, idk if anyone knows her here)...

If we're being honest, it wasn't a real "brand" anyway, it was just regular youtuber merch. I have to say that I was initially under the impression that MCC would be the only seller for the El Tambo coffee, but there's quite a lot of websites that sell the same stuff. Idk why I was thinking that Eve would be coming out with her own original coffee blend 😂

The one where showed what she did at work - write the newsletters for example.
I remember that video. She seemed so proud about that task when it was such a bulls*it thing to do for someone with a law degree.

Did anyone else notice how her attitude towards Linklaters has changed? She used to praise the company in every video. In her recent video, she said that there was only one department she could imagine working in and that she was thinking about applying elsewhere. Those 2 years must have been horrible then... This would also explain why she has never completed her "law diary" series.

Maybe Eve views herself as coming from a ‘poor family’ and ‘state school’ because she is constantly surrounded by very middle class people? I guess she just compares herself to her peers. Her girlfriend looks very wealthy and her roomies also seem very comfortable. That girl Anushka seems loaded. So maybe she just doesn’t realise...

What confuses me about Eve and the pandemic:

1) why in nearly 2022 does she still not own a/multiple masks? Whenever we see her in one (rarely) it’s always a disposable one? I don’t know a single person these days who doesn’t have a least a couple reusable ones that they wash and reuse

2) why does she rarely wear a mask? Like even on the tube she doesn’t, despite until recently the tube being the only place where you HAVE to wear one?

3) do you reckon she ever wears a mask? Like when she’s walking round London, going into shops, coffee shops, etc? I don’t think she would

4) Even though she’s showed blatant disregard for the rules the entire pandemic (breaking lockdown rules, not following guidelines, refusing to wear a mask), how tf can she think it’s ok to go to Paris on holiday? Or anywhere on holiday???? Omicron is most prevalent in London and that’s where she’s from? Like come on just stay at home and help keep others safe

I wonder if she’s even vaccinated

I think she’s a positive influence compared with people who dropped out of school etc. And I find it interesting to watch the process to become a lawyer.
Do wonder what her clients/ bosses will think of her yt videos tho in the future ??

There's quite a big discourse amongst legal professionals atm who are basically fed up. Examples of conversations being had at the moment are flexible working (like what Eve has brought up), changing to a 4-day working week and challenging their employer's assumed entitlement to contact them out of hours/on the weekends. The pandemic has been quite an eye-opener for everyone in the industry and has made many look more closely at what really matters to them.

This reminds me, whatever even happened to Millennial Coffee Club? 😆
my theory is the whole millennials vs gen z joke started off on tik tok and she was worried about getting roasted (pardon the pun) for the name, the whole project was very girlboss millenial "don't talk to me until I've had my coffee" vibes that gen z kids she's desperately trying to pander to make fun of. I'm also 99% sure she isn't even a millennial lmao.
