I’m not straight, but, I don’t project my sexuality onto everything I do. Why is her style a result of her being gay, why is her personality a result of her being gay? Like eve, get a grip.
also, I completely agree with everything that was previously said.
But is it only me that thinks eve’s face had changed a lot?? Like she’s definitely done something different, she’s kinda unrecognisable

I almost get the feeling that she is trying to bait her law firm in to calling her out on things like her unprofessional dress and style. Then when they do try to pull her up on it she can act all offended and expose them as anti-queer etc.

Party of me thinks it’s because it took her a while to be comfortable with her sexuality that she now openly makes all of these references

also her saying v gay content to follow, unless it’s two same gender people kissing or shagging, I don’t know what would make it v gay content……
That would be some new video haha. 'Hi guys, so today for my Skillshare sponsored video I'm going to be licking out my girlfriend' HAHA

Eve asking us to vote for her to be lifestyle influencer of the year... yeah don't think so (n):ROFLMAO:
Eve: "Vote for me to be Lifestyle Creator of the Year!"
Also Eve: (Creates no lifestyle content this year.)

Makes sense.

Also if you don't create your own content and just lazily pay other people to research, write and edit it your shoddy videos for you, then you should be ineligible for awards that reward you individually for being a creator.

But Jack Edwards is a shortlisted nominee, so that says everything about the quality of these "Blogoshere Awards".

I don't think it's that shocking that someone would want to date Eve? Or is it that people are surprised someone so wealthy hasn't gone for someone of equal wealth?
Yeah I mean different strokes and all that but Eve is fit, conventionally attractive, and successful. It's hardly surprising she's been snatched up.

Honestly she just sounds like a middle-aged teacher trying desperately to show the students that she's unique and cool and relatable but just looking like an out-of-touch embarrassment. Choosing to wear Converse to a business meeting isn't unique. It's the boardroom hipster cliché.

There's a line between being yourself in a professional setting and desperately trying to be unique, and she's several miles over that line. Nobody's going to care if she's gay, or refuses to wear a skirt and high heels, but the "I'm so cool" try-hardyness of slobbing around sitting on top of desks in the world's most commonly-worn sneakers doesn't come off as unique or authentic, it just makes you look like a douche.
Still, not wanting to wear skirts and heels is not reserved for queer people only in the first place. Also no one will really care nowadays that you as a woman don't like to wear skirts and heels - I worked in few legal / finance offices which require formal or just smart casual wear and most women were wearing comfortable but professional outfits. 99% of the time I wear pants and trainers to the office and it's not a big deal.

OT but sometimes I really think that some people want to feel important and special and try to make themselves seem like they're fighting the fight and making a change but in reality they just push and over exaggerate everything to the point that public gets fed up with the group as a whole (like feminists or queer as a whole) despite the fact that only some of them are annoying and dumb but unfortunately these shout the loudest so to say and make more damage than good in the end. I think Eve is one of these people - since she identified herself as a queer she kept pushing this fact everywhere to make herself seem so excluded and tries to make everyone believe how she's fighting the fight every day - but these mostly include her right to wear neon coloured quirky outfits to work, having quirky hairstyle, behaving quirky and expecting everyone everywhere will acknowledge the sole fact she likes women not men even if no one cares. It's a super stereotypical take and I get that to some extent she may be like that cause it's new to her etc. but at the same time she's an adult, she's supposedly intelligent and she should therefore understand that in places like office etc. she has to abide to basic rules and that NO ONE CARES. I have a bunch of friends that are queer and all they want is normalcy and normal treatment not fanfares and stereotypes. Not to mention that non-queer people should also not have their identity second guessed just because they like to wear / not wear or behave in ways other that the "gendered" norms. I feel lately we're going backwards in this department and while we had the "girls can play with cars and still be women and feminine (if they want to)" now it's "oh she doesn't like wearing skirts and likes cars - she must be transgender". I'm in my late 20s and everywhere in the media I see content which pushes on me the second guessing of my sexuality, identity, hairstyle, things I like, e v e r y t h i n g because for some reason that's considered as evolved nowadays. | end of rant, sorry it got so long |

Either way, I feel she seems to take offence at the sole fact that some industries require more professional wear and behavior when she sees herself as a snowflake and minority and takes everything as discrimination. In my opinion and having talked with my queer friends about it many times, seeing being queer solely as being quirky and try-hard different than others in every area of life is super pretentious and stereotypical - reminds me of the stereotypical gay man portrayal as a man who has high pitched voice, loves madonna and britney spears, is bffs with every woman and is in fashion industry ofc. It's so detrimental to the community tbh because then you can't just be your normal self or be a very masculine gay man or very feminine gay woman or just be a masculine woman because society keeps second guessing you. Things like that are supposed to be normalised, not qUiRkY.

Her jobs basically micromanging. Constantly asking much more knowledgable engineers and devs “how you doing on this” every hour of the day.

Her continuous comparison to law is so boring and inaccurate too. Claiming in law you don't hear what your other members are doing- false. I have yet to work in a firm where we dont speak about what we are working on weekly in a all team meeting.

Wasn't she teasing a new video upload over the weekend? Nothing has been uploaded to her channel. Maybe she watched it back and realised it was probably a pile of self promoting shite...
She announced that she was going to upload a video Sunday evening, then delayed it because it was taking too long to upload, so it'd be up Monday, then nothing.

It was supposedly going to be a 'Day in the Life of a Tech Project Manager', so I can only assume she had second thoughts after it revealed that she does next to nothing and isn't some take-charge girlboss redefining the industry like she pretends.

Hi!

I have some tea that I thought would be interesting. I find it quite hilarious how she preaches how she views success as ‘earning your own money, paying your own bills, helping parents’. Basically, all of this crap about financial independence and how she values it... Like her gf is so loaded? They live in an 2.5 million house in Surrey with close links to London. As far as I know, the gf only recently got a minimum wage paying job last month and relies entirely on her parents... The gf goes on all of these trips and stays at 5* hotels in Santorini etc. So much for financial independence being so valued... Also, the lockdown breaking rules. It’s always the rich, entitled ones. The gf went on holiday in late September and I’m pretty sure it was with Eve. One thing I find weird is that Eve has never posted pictures of it. But the gf posted so many pictures of the trip but it isn’t exactly clear with who. In all of the pictures, the gf is with some girl that could be Eve, same build as Eve, same hair, same rings, same eyebrows. The thing that had convinced me it was in fact Eve, was that the gf posted an old film picture in Santorini of the girl she was with and 99% sure it is Eve. Lockdown breaking and trying to hide it lol.

Speaking of rule breaking, the way they see each other almost every weekend. Like since when was that ever allowed? Staying at each others’ houses etc.? Going back home? Visiting all of the other friends? I follow the gf and she gives 0 craps about restrictions as she is always out with all of these different people.

I wonder how they even met. I know it was on Tinder. But I wonder why a girl like the gf would go for someone like Eve? I reckon it’s money. The gf obviously comes from a wealthy background (the dad does all of this Chief Technology Management stuff, he’s the CEO of many things and he invests). I also notice the gf posting things and sharing stuff about properties and how she wants to own this and that. Obviously, everyone has dreams but she is very materialistic. I reckon she must be drawn to Eve because of her job and the money it brings. For example, Eve took her to this place in England for the gf’s birthday when they were dating just over a month, costing £600 a night... Other than that, the gf is like SOOOO pretty and has it all. I don’t know why else she’d go for Eve lol. Anyway, I wonder how long they will last.

Also, this whole company bizz. Was selling the rest of the cups stock, her way of closing down the business or whatever. Seemed lowkey weird to me.

And lastly- anyone know why Eve has privatised so many of her videos? I don’t really get it. But anyway!

Okay, I do think that there is something to be said for queer people finding the appropriate clothes in certain contexts and it can be a bit difficult depending on how you present— for example, years and years ago a friend of mine who is a lesbian planned to wear a nice suit as a wedding guest and got a lot of pushback from her mother and other relatives begging her to wear a dress or something less ‘noticeable’. (I mean, wtf). Similarly, in the workspace if you dress a bit off what is ‘expected’ it can be a lot. Another friend of mine complained that when she wore more masculine outfits in the office she’d get the requisite office busy bodies stopping by like “whyyyy are you wearing thaaaaaaat lol!” or other weird questions. It can be easy for some of us to assume that there are no weird judgements to overcome when there still are.

All that said, Eve is just wearing a sweater vest and dress pants and she clearly presents as a feminine woman. I mean, I get it, but it does make me lol a bit. Look, in the first two years after coming out, especially if you come out a bit later in life, you tend to be a bit weird and obsessed with your new identity and trying out these new ways of being as though they are costumes. I expect she will calm down after a while and just settle back into herself but…… we’ll see.
She is being SUCH a baby gay right now. Like I can't really judge cause I went through the same, but I also didn't have 100k+ followers.

I thought her newest tier ranking vid was pretty basic and pointless? Anyone could have made that video, lawyer or not, and what did anyone get from the video? Idk probably being harsh but I just don't get it lol
I think she must have realised that most subscribers to her channel are/were interested in her legal career and in legal topics. I imagine she has been losing subscribers/viewers with her new topics so decided to try and get back on theme. Since she's left law though I think her channel is on a downward spiral anyway.

Just cause you booked it doesn't mean you have to go. I should have been on a flight to Ireland tonight to spend Christmas with family but we decided it was best to stay put with the rising case numbers. Travelling just now seems far from sensible.
It's also the fact that France introduced new stricter restrictions on travel on the very day they would have travelled (as the restrictions would have started at 11PM in the UK), and those restrictions would have been announced
A) they could have scrapped the plans to go, the two can clearly afford a fair amount of luxury as it is but also the tickets/bookings could have been sold to someone else
B) they may have very well (and I honestly think it's likely) made the decision to go after those restrictions were announced - there's an article that said a lot of people actually bought tickets to go to France after that announcement

Also, it's not like Eve has shown any responsibility in wearing a mask and it's clear that she has been travelling during the last lockdown. She, and I suppose her gf, has a pattern of behaviour of ignoring restrictions

She wasn't out but we don't know if she knew herself that she was into girls, and how that played into her ideas about having to 'pass' as straight to fit in.
But that’s the thing - your sexual preferences should not immediately determine your whole personality, especially at work.

Really need someone to do a snarky rundown like that guy in the Ruby Granger thread. Far more fun than watching the video!

This would be okay on a private insta. But wtf?! Like I said how the hell does she get away with posting thirst traps on her PUBLIC instagram and work at one of the most renowned law firms in england?!?!!

Think she has, looks a lot shorter. Or her hair could've been swept to the side I don't know.
I've noticed that Eve's post have subtlety been becoming more sexualised as she has been discovering her own sexuality recently. Like you say this is not a bad thing for a private insta and in terms of Eve's life it's great that she is becoming more comfortable with expressing herself sexually. However, as a magic circle firm lawyer you've got to imagine that her employer will be asking her to reign it in soon.

Alternatively, and this is only my own theory on it all but I think it is just another attempt to bait her employer in to saying something. She wants that to happen so that she can make a big deal of it when it finally does.

Her girlfriend blocked me on insta. No idea why, I didn't say anything to to her or comment on any of her posts. I think she just went on a cull of people that were viewing her stories that she didn't recognise.
