Just watched Eve's latest video and without trying to sound cheesy, I'm genuinely proud to see the person she's blossomed into.

I grew up watching all the Studytubers - Eve, Jade, Ruby, Holly, Jack, you name them; they all helped me get through my GCSEs and A-Levels and it was great to have such a positive community full of people you genuinely wanted to be successful. Since then, most of the classic Studytube has been a car crash. Jade is still het up on an Oxford rejection from 6 years ago, preaching and trying to convince herself that her scam university was actually worthwhile; Ruby still prances around in her garden, dresses like a child and seems to have regressed about 10 years; Holly has gone from top of her class in Cambridge to travelling to Thailand to eat plain tofu, run excessively and collaborate with porn sites; similarly to Jade, Jack is also still caught up on Oxford and has tried to cling onto his YouTube channel.

Then, there's Eve. Achieved a first-class degree from one of the best institutions in the world, while having a healthy social life, a boyfriend, moving out to London and landing a job with Sky. She actually utilised the grades and the advice she put out into practice and made something of her life. Sure, it would have been easy for her to become a fulltime content creator, churning out stale content, but she opted to pursue a career where I am confident she will be highly successful.

She made it. Of all the Studytubers, she genuinely seems like a lovely person and I really want her to have all the success in the world. If you're reading this Eve, you made all of us who followed the Studytube community growing up proud.

She's just posted her quitting YouTube video (although she says not technically quitting but in essence she's done).

She seems a genuinely lovely girl and well done to her for not becoming one of these stupid pointless professional 'content creators'. She's starting a great career and I think her Youtube has clearly helped her on that journey. Personal growth evidenced and what a refreshing sight that is.

Eve, not sure of you ever read your thread and I know this place can be toxic sometimes but if you are reading then well done to you and good luck, you seem like one of the good ones. ❤

She needs to STFU with her imposter syndrome. It got old around A-level time. When you consistently ace your exams, it just comes across as patronising to viewers to pretend you’ve done badly.

I’m actually happy for Eve with this job! She’s the only one so far from that studytube group that is doing something job wise! And it’s refreshing to see, that she’s not doing something easy work from home and YouTube too, but she’s focusing on her future

I guess this thread will be very very quiet in the future but I just wanted to come on here again and say how happy I am for eve: she can be really proud of herself for everything she's accomplished and the life she's built. so happy to see her start her career, it's so motivating. I'm looking forward to get glimpses into what she's doing through instagram but I respect and admire her decision to stop doing youtube. so nice to see someone online who's successful, inspiring but actually still relatable.

Thing is, I understand why she feels like that because she doesn’t see herself the same as her rich Oxford peers but sorry Eve. You got a first from Oxford and could afford to do a journalism course in london, you now are working for sky…. (Sorry rank company imo)
You’re not an imposter anymore

Of course she passed the journalism course with “gold” after all her kvetching about how hard it was and how bad she was at the shorthand. So disingenuous.

So nice to see a study tuber actually using all of the a* and qualifications that they grafted too hard for lol. I wish her the best and in her most recent videos she seems the most settled in her self and who she is than ever so I'm sure she'll have a good life!

seems like shes quit for good but doesnt want to say so incase a good brand deal/sponsorship comes along. i find it admirable that she's one of the few who dont throw their career prospects away for influencing

wow i forgot about her, its nice to see that she has managed to get into journalism. i still remember her gcse videos where she said she wanted to be a diplomat lol

i remember doing my a levels around the time that her and ruby granger were really big on youtube, and they made me feel sooo shit (even tho i got AAB in the end!) i think it was kind of toxic tbh esp eve with her "i think i really messed up the third paper" ... "i got an a*" and then ruby with her 12 hour long study with me's...

im acc surprised that most studytubers dont seem to be doing anything that successful, the only ones i can think of is eve (journalism) and Paige Y (actuarial) seems like the others kind of fell off.
I think a lot of them have struggled to move past their studytuber identities. Ruby especially seems to not want to anything other than study and so is struggling to grow and move on from it. I’m glad Eve has found something she’s passionate about and seems to have moved on from this mindset. She’s also always seemed the most down to earth.

Agreed she seems to be one of the only ones that is actually progressing with her life. Good for her and I expect that we will gradually start to see her do less and less Youtube going forward. In a few years I bet she'll be done altogether with it as she builds an actual career. In the meantime the likes of Ruby will still be living at home reading books all day and Jade will be fully entrenched in some sort of MLM scam venture.

I'm not surprised. Since her first year at uni, YT always seem like more of a part-time job for Eve rather than her true passion. (not judging her for that!) It's very refreshing to see someone not just fall into all of the influencing grifting and not throw away her professional ambitions. I hope she does well!

I started watching Eve, Jade and Ruby's videos as I was doing A Levels at the same time as time and it's been really interesting seeing where they've all ended up. She always has come across as one of the more normal Studytubers.

I think she is having a reality check with working full time and the office environment being different to uni. Nobody cares about your grades in the office and it’s a very different skill set to being able to revise and memorise things.

I took her tone as she’s expecting to do this for a while then get promoted and just work her way up like it’s easy as anything to get what she wants. Journalism isn’t like that.

Yeah she doesn’t have imposter syndrome she’s just a smug show off. Remember her GCSE and A Level results videos where she’d sit and reel off every A* separately after saying she was sure she’d done really badly rather than just saying ‘I got A*s in everything’.

It’s like the video of her saying she got a star in this and a star in that and reads them all out and it’s gone viral on tiktok recently and the comments are everyone saying she could’ve just said I got all a stars. She loves to keep people in suspense as if there’s even a possibility that she isn’t going to pass everything with flying colours.

only saw brief clip on tiktok of her been interviewed in a podcast but sounded like she has no plans to go back to Youtube
Fair play to her, she has a full time job she needs to focus on, and has probably exhausted a lot of video ideas now. I hope she does a thankyou/bye video though so her fans know she’s moving onto her next chapter.

To be fair I side eye most influencers who claim they have imposter syndrome because I believe they say it to look humble and they really don’t have it. It garners a lot more praise if you act that way, and to be an influencer in the first place you have to have elevated levels of narcissism.

I hope she succeeds! It would've been so easy for her to be an influencer like Lydia and Molly, but I'm glad she's stuck to her heart.
