Indeed. It was a decent pop song let down by a really lacklustre stagingI don't think her outfit choice helped either. Black wasn't the right colour choice.
Agree. I never really get the argument that the jury shouldn't exist because it's often got a different opinion to the public. Like that's the whole point of them.In all fairness to the jury, they’re judging on a different criteria to the public. The public vote is basically “I liked it” whereas the jury should have a more critical perspective
I've seen a few comments elsewhere about us sending someone singing in welsh etc so I'm assuming that. It would be nice to show we have other languages in the UK.Sorry for being dim, but what do you mean by cultural route? Traditional music from those countries or no longer enter as the UK?
In my opinion the entire performance wasn't camp or OTT enough for a eurovision entryIndeed. It was a decent pop song let down by a really lacklustre staging
The problem with Mel was that she wasn't Graham Norton. I don't think she did a BAD job, but she did talk over stuff a little too much.I'm no Mel fan, but she wasn't too bad I don't Think Graham wanted anyone doing the voiceover to outshine him , as Rylan or Scott would have been the obvious choice imo.
Sweden 2016 was fantastic, so no doubt they'll pull out all the stops next year!
I quite like this idea. We should send some bagpipes and some folky pagan dancing around around a guy dressed up as the green manI’ve always wondered why we don’t pick a cultural song. So many other countries do it, ours is always very mainstream. We have lots to choose from, bagpipes, Gaelic language, Welch, even Cornish. We have a strong folk music scene we could use. Might as well try something different, what’s the worst? We come last .
