Remember when she was crying in the vlog in which she ‘revealed’ the extent of Effie’s problems, and in the middle of the rant she said that she also didn’t want to be the only one to always have to take Effie for a walk? To me that was a small slip up toward the ‘real’ reason towards this— no not just walking Effie, but rather that she finds dog ownership itself to be overwhelming, and then Effie is more energetic and has some minor ‘extra’ needs, and this summer when she was super depressed and couldn’t escape Effie, and the idea of rehoming her at some point became more appealing.

I actually don’t even know if I believe the part about her seeing those dog trainers. Just because the line about Effie being the most nervous dog ever seen... by a trainer that deals with nervous and reactive dogs? is such an obvious lie. This about a dog who is regularly around people on camera.

And no, family is not the most important thing for me, although I have a great family. But I don’t need to live near them.

I think family probably is more important to Estee, who seems to lean on her mother a lot. But not a reason to move to Canada and leave the country she has lived in her entire adulthood. I personally don’t think London i superior to anything. But you live where you live.

Have to agree on this front - I live in Toronto, as the username might suggest, and I love it. Sure, it's very different to London. It's a much newer city and doesn't have the same cultural institutions that London does. But that's not the only reason anyone should enjoy anywhere. There are plenty of green spaces here, it has beautiful weather in the summer, and it's more multicultural than London. That last one seems like a bold claim but based on my experience of living in both, it's true. It's more of a melting pot here with more localised communities around the city, and Torontonians are friendlier than Londoners.

All that aside, Estee is an amorphous blob and doesn't enjoy much of anything anyway, so wherever she lives, it doesn't make a difference. She'll always be her.

Perhaps you should be a bit more careful with your words in future in that case. Your statements about Estée looking “masculine” came across as derogatory and specifically bringing in Megan Rapinoe into it didn’t look good. It didn't come across as a mere observation about "masculine" or "feminine" "energies" but as something negative. As aspirational as your comment is about the future, the reality is sadly we're not there yet.

I appreciate this feedback and am going to be more mindful with my wording in the future. Looking back, I can see how my comment could have come across as derogatory. I didn’t put much thought or time into it and I feel like some people might think it was written by a 60 year old grumpy man because of some of the wording.

I agree that we’re not there yet and that we live in dark times, but I think the future is going to be brighter because of people like you and I who stand up for what’s right and protect and defend the LGBTQ+ community I’m glad we can have peaceful, civil conversations. Love and light to you

That whole Thanksgiving event looked like a Covid super spreader event, no masks, small apartment full of people + hired help. This is why in general I don't like people ( animals are way better)... because they act like this.

I was thinking the same thing like... are people in the UK really doing stuff like this right now? A pointless indoor dinner party with everyone cooped up inside an apartment like that just seems like a slap in the face. Meanwhile in Canada families were asked to spend Thanksgiving apart.

She had a Didion book— I think it was The White Album— that she always placed strategically in pictures like reading it on a Brooklyn balcony, or it sitting on her nightstand, etc., and people started to notice she was always on the same page lol which was like 5 pages in. Then eventually she even admitted that she never read it and gave up on it.

This already reads so exploitative. Up for any task? Uhh no, it’s a job, they don’t have to be up for ANY task. Why not try giving a real job description? Also she knows full well her weird fans will clamour to do anything and be “hired” by her which means she is exploiting that power imbalance already. She should know this based on the way she already hired then screwed over friends in the past, and the way she used her platform to get girls for her brother who was then accused of nefarious behaviour. Post a normal job description through appropriate channels or go.
