I think maybe Estee needs to get off the 'gram for a little bit. I felt uncomfortable watching her stories in the morning, and I didn't even see the ones from the night before. She has spent too much of her adult life online. Heck, didn't she meet Aslan in a chat forum as a teen too?

This! Estee doesn't seem particularly driven or creative. Aslan kept her stable, gave her a lot of content ideas (think the book was a lot of him), and helped in producing a lot of it too - either by making an appearance or helping film/edit. I can imagine Aslan paid for a lot of the equipment too because he was nerdy that way. I think Estee got big back then because she was showing off a lifestyle - a lifestyle that def at the begining she couldn't have afforded by herself. Estee seems very bitter about the split, I mean even years later can't even bring herself to mention his name - and whether she still loves Aslan or not I have no idea, but I think she mourns the easy carefree life he gave her.

Ok I just had a look at his property and he recently listed it for sale in October 2020. It looks like he was no longer living there and renting it out.
Their “apartment” was a 5 bedroom attached row house for £2,750,000 spanning 4 floors, on a private gated street with underground garage.
You can tell it’s their old house if you look at the chevron floors and kitchen tiled floors and the built in bedside tables surrounding a different bed.

I think people here have made really valid points about Estee but....am I the only one who roots for her still? I've watched her since the beginning and I suppose I have a (non-creepy) emotional attachment to her

She is probably embarrassed about her behaviour in last night's stories and is projecting that back on her followers instead by acting like it's other people who are the problem. Why would you be so upset/triggered about people checking in to make sure you're alright... unless it's making you realize how badly you looked?

I honestly do not understand how she has ANY fans. She is so deeply weird and self obsessed. People clinging to 2014 Estée I guess, unable to let go for whatever reason.

Oh, the peloton thing is just another iteration of Estee’s constant battle with ‘fitness’. She struggles to stick to a routine, never seems to enjoy the new trend she’s taken up, and then goes through depressive periods where she stops exercising, and then when she’s trying to come out of the depressive episode she always sees the key as exercising and it’s always some new big thing like excessive jogging or bootcamps or saying you’re going to go to the gym everyday, etc. I mean, of course exercise helps but it’s not like it will make you a new person.
That’s why I had to cringe when she says she’s now making her entire office a workout room. Estée, you don’t like working out. That’s okay! But she almost seems to use it as a weapon against herself and like she has to be this workout person to be ‘better’. I feel like she’d be better suited to making the office more of a guest room/quiet yoga room/sometimes office space than being like ‘this is gonna be my new gym’. If I’m being nice, it’s honestly sad to see her make these new pledges to herself all the time instead of just accepting who she is and what she enjoys, and if she doesn’t like going to spin classes it’s because she doesn’t like it and not necessarily because she’s lazy.
I do think she somewhat enjoyed yoga. Why not just do more yoga and try to walk around London more?

It's sickening that we turn away refugees in this country but people like that can buy a passport with no questions asked.
I'm normally a fan of people separating home from work, but in her case I don't really see the point in getting an office...
Does she really have enough 'work' to need an office space that's not inside her house? I can imagine her job being very here and there, not really enough or constant enough to require of a strict time table or the space. I would find annoying having to go to the office to work for a couple hours and then return home, to then realize something new has come up and having to go back. + I'm sure a big part of her job involves answering emails and being in conversations (brand deals etc) which she will eventually end up doing it from her sofa.
+ is she going to film an edit there? Knowing how relaxed her videos have become and how lifestyley they are I can't imagine her doing it anywhere else.
I think it would have been better if she'd utilized the office space at her home better and made it REALLY an office and not a junk/store room, and then get a gym/classes membership to force herself to leave the house instead of the other way round. I'm sure London is full of cool studios that provide interesting classes with timetables that would force her to go instead of a regular gym that is easy to ignore.

I slightly do sympathise with her for Effie but it makes half of me angry! I actually do have a dog with probably one of the worst cases of anxiety and reactivity I've seen. There is NO way I could let my dog off a lead, he would bite other dogs and people. Any little noise sets him off and he barks constantly. I can't have people in my house, or if I do I have to separate him in another room and listen to him barking constantly.
Effie needs structure. Going on structured walks every day is better than taking her to all different parks. She needs a leader, she needs someone who she can trust not someone who lets her off lead to do what she wants and then gets fucking terrified by fireworks or whatever in the park. I've had my dog over a year now and it's fucking hard work, they wouldn't even walk for months on end. No-one should be putting a dog in a "nervous" coat and then letting her off lead, she has to take some responsibility for her.

This! Let's not ever be mislead into thinking they're our friends. Some try, disclose ads, share articles they think will be valuable etc but at the end of the day this is a job for them. They do it for money.
