No, I didn't think there was a reason yet. It's more that you can't join a Union when you've got an issue and have them represent you - you have to serve a probation period! It's good that's not necessary.Yes I am in the union but I don't have any reason to contact them at the moment. I will bide my time to see what happens.
That sounds more positive.An update.
Well I still haven't managed to suss out who has been plotting against my boss because only one of the managers has spoken to me and that was about work.
However the Director did call me to say that an interim boss is being appointed from outside and that my job is not in danger. Either my old boss will return in a few months or they will make a new appointment.
Now my main problem is my boss, she keeps sending me WhatsApp messages on my personal phone asking for updates on what is going on. I don't mind sending her the odd text but she was asking me to forward some stuff to her personal email address. I told her that I wouldn't do that because IT would be able to tell. There's no way I'm risking doing that.
She's still waiting to hear the nature of the complaint against her!
Thanks. From what my boss has told me she believes one or more of her managers has lodged a complaint against her. It's probably 3 of them (not sure about the fourth yet). That sounds more positive.
Don't allow your old boss to compromise you. Does she have no idea at all what she's supposed to have done? Sounds bizarre.
As long as you are OK, that's the main thing. Hope the interim boss is OK.
I like working from home as much as I can.Well done Scotch.
You need to protect yourself and you've done the right thing by saying no to your Boss.
You don't get escorted from the premises on a whim.
She must have some idea why.
Interesting that the interim replacement will be an outsider.
Your job isn't in danger - phew!
I think it's good that you are working from home.
Less danger of getting dragged into gossip and office poison politics.
Keep your head to your Hamster wheel and you'll soon find out what's gone on.
Tattle time is quality time! Thanks. From what my boss has told me she believes one or more of her managers has lodged a complaint against her. It's probably 3 of them (not sure about the fourth yet).
She gave one of them a serious telling off last week at a meeting (although in my view the telling off was justified but maybe she could have been more diplomatic) but I guess they've accused her of bullying.
I like working from home as much as I can.
Gives me more Tattle time![]()
If you were at that meeting, it's probably worth writing down your recollections now, as you may well be called as a witness, so you might as well do it whilst it's fresh in your mind.Thanks. Well there's not much to update really. My boss still hasn't been told what she's accused of, which I think is terrible so she's contacting the union for advice. Surely if you're going to suspend someone pending an investigation it would be fair to tell them what they are suspended for! She's just guessing about the reasons at the moment.Keep us posted @Scotch Mist
Thanks, it's much appreciated.I’m sorry you’re going through this @Scotch Mist your career and professional life is like a second family. I hope things sort out soon, and you get some info. Sending good vibes in the meantime.![]()
You aren't doing bugger all. You are resting. Thanks, it's much appreciated.
I'm at home today doing bugger all
Am going into the office tomorrow for a meeting so might find out a bit more then.
Hopefully you can put this out if your mind while you are on holiday. I hope the restructuring works out well for you.Following my boss's departure it looks like things are going to be restructured going forward but still nobody is talking about my boss. Luckily I'm on holiday for the next 2 weeks so I can put everything out of my mind for a while.
I was talking to a friend at the weekend and she said that maybe I should question what my boss has been saying to me which is a good point. She doesn't think that anyone would have to hand in their equipment and be taken from the building unless it was a very serious complaint (like fraud). She also said that she doesn't believe that my boss doesn't know why she's been suspended. I must admit I find this hard to believe too although my boss still insists that she doesn't know what she's being investigated for.
Hi @ChitaHaven't been in here for a while, so there's a few things to cover,
@Zippy2000 thinking of you and hoping the spell @Cassandra333 cast for you works quickly and brings your cockatiel safely home.
@Cassandra333 Please also do one for me to bring me some good fortune. Been a run of things not working out lately. And I'm struggling to keep a loved one from going over the edge.
@Scotch Mist hope your work situation has settled and that you are safe. Did you ever discover whether your suspended boss was guilty or victim of a vendetta?
@Rockin' Robin I hope you and your husband are OK and that your friend is recovering
Be nice to hear from everyone for a catch up.
