Has anyone watched Riding With Charlotte’s new video?
Yes, and I am not impressed. I honestly haven't ridden myself in ages but her seat immediatly has me hearing my instructor in my head shouting at me to sit up and try to sit still. When riding Bella in trot she seems to slam down. Perhaps it was because she was unbalanced but in general I'm not super impressed with her riding. She leans back too much and seems to hold on way to tight. And yes, it is easy to say when not having ridden the horse oneself but it just seems like beginner mistakes.

And saying she loves her "pocket rockets" and then not being able to control Vossi is just interesting. I think it is more that Bella isn't fancy enough although I think she might be a better fit. But fair play in being honest and thinking that selling her would be the best option.

I have, I thought vossi looked better and Bella was fine for a 5 year old. I’m team not too much too young though. Bella needed a softer hand though to encourage her to move forward. I would love to see the sharers ride Bella.

She posted on her story that Bella needs “a month of serious schooling, 5 days a week in an arena”. She’s 5 - she doesn’t need that at all!

I just watched it and… well. Get a schooling whip when riding the 5 year old so you aren’t constantly booting her and making her dead to the leg. A touch with the whip helps to teach her to go forward, however, Charlottes hands seem to be more focused on cranking the poor horses head in 🤦🏼‍♀️ The first rule of schooling - rhythm! Bella is a better size for Charlotte, but of course, she isn’t flashy enough 🙄 and no way does a 5 year old need to be in the school every day, they need to be out hacking. Has she ever actually backed and ridden youngsters before?!

And with Vossi, why does she not use placing poles to help her see a stride? Then she can stop confusing and scaring the poor lad when firing him at the jumps. I also wish she would stop doing sitting trot on him because she really is so bloody rigid and it will make him more tense.

Just been and watched. I thought Bella looked really sweet. However, young horses need to just move forward. She shouldn’t be stressing about getting her working into a contact. She also needs to pick up a stick or put some small spurs on as the horse will end up totally dead to the leg if she continues nagging. Although it doesn’t seem like she wants to ride her again!

If she wants to ruin the horse thats exactly what she needs. However if you want the horse to last and not go sour then the mare doesn’t need that. I’d be hacking out more than schooling where possible or as it’s currently dark quite early short sweet schooling sessions where nothing other than going forward is the aim, no forcing an outline or endless small circles. Just fun, and maybe a bit of pole work to help the topline and keep things different.

Agree, she was trying to get her on the bit (and look pretty for followers) when the horse wasn't moving from behind. She needed to just ignore what the front end was doing and get her moving forward first but she did sort of address that at the end of the video but then I thought well if you knew that why didn't you leave her mouth alone .. I feel a bit sorry for the mare she could be lovely with someone who will put the work in. Her mum needs to stop being selfish and sell her if she doesn't want to ride!

yeah that was a ridiculous thing to say! Personally I like to school 3 times a week and jump once hack/lunge the other two days to keep things varied (winter). I am retraining an ex race horse though and through trial and error have found this works best, otherwise we go backwards with flatwork

Haha for starters the highest level is now called 5* but I feel that’s the least of the issues with these posts 😂
🤣🤣 I know right. I’m not an eventer so I’ve no clue lol. The daughter is a lovely rider but she’s certainly no European pony event rider not when there’sso much competition.

Tina’s latest ad grid post for the face cleaner thing - looks like she is enjoying that.

I do find a lot of her ads very sexualised.

I would rather see someone using it in the bath then some beauty influencer pretending to use it on a foundation covered face which is then edited with a filter

Id rather no one was paid to advertise gimmicky devices 🤷🏼‍♀️ but especially not someone I follow for horsey content - enough beauty influencers out there to avoid.

Oh no, not someone else advertising those things 🤦🏼‍♀️ Have you seen the prices of them? Why not just use a bloody flannel/face scrub mitt? Seriously 😒
