I looked back for these videos of her trainer riding him etc as I found them really interesting but she’s deleted them 🙄
oh 🙄 the guy was brilliant. He rode beautifully and explained everything so well and she did improve when she listened to him but obviously something happened there that she has tried to sweep under the rug!

The training is the real issue for me. I have no doubt that she loves Vossi very much and strives to do her best by him in daily routine, saddle checks, sports massage and all the other things she mentioned. However I strongly believe that one of our responsibilities as owners and riders is to train ourselves to be the best we can for our horses, to understand them and their actions, to bring out the best in them. I’m no pony patter but we have a responsibility to listen to what our horses are trying to tell us, and I’m not sure that ‘being sassy and having an attitude’ is the underlying message here 🤷🏻‍♀️
👏🏻 Listen to them when they are trying to tell you something!

I really hope she takes the comment on board. She is to heavy and riding in a saddle to small neither of which help. If she lost weight and got a saddle that fits both of them she would find if far easier to balance and not yank the horse in the mouth or thud back in the saddle like a a sack of spuds. And once that is sorted find a decent instructor as the one she has is tit.
THIS! and she has the most god awful hands I've ever seen, doesn't have an independent seat or any balance its honestly like watching someone who's never ridden before, I can't stand over weight riders its cruel and gives us a bad name! no wonder people say ''you just sit there the horse does all the work''

Non of it will ever improve if she doesn't have a decent instructor to tell her. The way she rides isn’t such an issue if it where improving but it doesn’t look like it is hence the need to a new instructor.

I mostly watch YouTube, accounts i avoid are Erin's videos, to much preening and hair swishing and obv harlow and popcorn, due to her being a child and aimed more for age group and videos drag on alot of nonsense through no fault of hers (her mother) .
To me real influencers are the ones that have to travel miles to their diy livery and muck out at 7am in the morning before work, these ones who have their own stables on their doorsteps with a tonne of horses cooped up in a stable are not influencers, theyre greedy and want freebies crom companies to fund a horse lifestyle they can't afford, they influence people to live beyond their means. Not good
Totally agree with this. I follow alot of people with only 500- 1000 followers because I feel we have the same struggles, with kids, work, grumpy horses, good days and bad days. I'm totally put off advert after advert of the bigger influencers.

I agree but there are certain things (like balance) that can't be taught, not that I'm saying 'you either have it don't' but normally with repetition and building strength you improve it I don't know how long she's been riding but there should surly be improvements regardless of training, I haven't watched much of her so not seen anything about the instructor but not sure my eyes can take it

I cannot stand her. I detest her. (Rhi). She cannot ride! Poor poor horse!!!
[/QUOTE]
She’s not the worse out there! What made me laugh the most is when she said I come in the indoor to check our or something like that, then proceeds to walk around the school and woody is just stood by the gate looking out. Yep that groundwork you are doing is really showing what a strong bond they have 😂😂

She’s really not that bad in my eyes as a rider, she’s taking it super slow with her horse and seems really conscious of how her position etc may affect him, and gets regular training too. We can’t all be Charlotte Dujardin!

My main issue with Rhi is that she started off so relatable, finding her way with a part loan horse etc and balancing her career. This was a really unique channel, most influencers were very privileged and had owned horses since childhood, had them at home, horsey families to support them etc etc. Then suddenly she bought a (probably quite expensive) horse and puts him on full livery. Good for her, but I felt like her socials and videos went from relatable to not at all in one day. Now it’s all about brand deals and doing ads with people and promoting her own products. She’s lost her USP in my eyes and is now sort of stuck in the middle ground. She puts a lot of effort into content but I’m not sure it pays off anymore. But equally the issues with Woody recently probably aren’t helping with producing unique and interesting content, so I’ll definitely give her the benefit of the doubt for the time being and keep watching.

Thats my issue with her, she was a “normal person” whatever the hell one of those are then she seemed to jump on the influencer band wagon and seems to want to be an influencer rather than sharing how she balances a horse and a career.

I really respected riding with Rhi until she got Teddy on full loan and moved yards, did videos about the responsibility of full loaning, costs and having a contract to go quiet on YouTube about him and it turns out she sent him back and decide she wants her own horse in a very short space of time. She never addressed it on her YouTube and for someone who is so organized why would you unsettle a horse by moving their yards and commit to a full loan?!?

Don’t think I’ve ever watched her on youtube. Just follow her on instagram. But I know she didnt have him on full loan for long. She should have just kept part loaning him untill she fiund one to buy.

I saw her comment saying she decided she wanted her own horse and the owner didn’t want to sell him so he went back to owner
oh that’s annoyed me, she made it sound and look like owners decided to take him back just after she got him on full livery/moved yards always felt bad for her knowing how heartbreaking loaning can be. But I’m guessing she was just playing victim then!

Yes, I always wondered why she didn’t just keep Teddy until she had found one?
