Life on the buckle and Sit back and kick on have gone very quiet. I hope everything is ok. I’m enjoying watching how they are getting on with Jim. He seems a really lovely sort.

I won’t be having any lessons off him either if he condones her riding and riding the way she does then he isn’t the instructor for me which is a shame as he isn’t a million miles away from me. He should have refused to let her ride, if it where me I would refuse to teach her as she is far to heavy for that horse and her saddle is far to small making being heavy a million times worse.

I’m not surprised she does’t want to jump when she lands like a sack of spuds on Peppers back. She needs to stop riding pepper, loose some weight and work on her balance before jumping again.
You can tell how unbalanced and unstable she is also. On slight move in the direction she wasn’t expecting and she comes off. I’m sure most competent riders would have sat the run out at that fence?

yep. Also, if you know that she may run out, you would know that that would be the way she would run because that is the ‘open’ side. You would swap your whip into your left hand, keep the left aids on to keep her from running through the shoulder and why make her canter? Get an active trot and and for peps sake, don’t jab her in the gob 🤦🏼‍♀️

The poor horse is not comfortable under saddle anyway and she knows she is going to have a ton of weight land like a sack of tit on her back and it hurts so she doesn’t want to jump ☹

all of these so called ‘professionals’ telling her that her and pep are fine are idiots because they are definitely not. It’s sad. It really is.

Most yes as it wasn’t a sharp run out. Now I’m not going to be nasty about the fall as we where all beginners at one point and would probably have fallen. But I would hope most of us would be on a suitable size horse with a suitable size saddle which would help no end. Being perched on the saddle like she is does not help at all.

Oh no, I agree! We all start somewhere but her weight is not helping her or Pepper. I agree, she’s so perched.

They usually have a break to boost the algorithm so they get more views. Wouldn’t worry they do it loads.

they be back on soon showing off the free stuff they got. Unfollowed as it always felt insincere. Loved the account when they had less followers 😁👍

All I can say. Poor horse ☹
this is so cruel can not believe that companies are supporting this behaviour and Simon grieve too. What people will do for money is so sad. It’s the animals that suffer.

What really grates on me is so many equestrian influencers record IG stories whilst riding, usually on tarmac roads and they then are partnered with safety companies such as Point Two, Charles Owen, Champion etc!

I can’t stand it. We wonder why other road users don’t respect us when this is plastered on the internet. If you as an individual want to go on your phone and you’re not deemed as an influencer, fine you do that BUT influencers are influencers for a reason, they INFLUENCE and this is my eyes is such a bad influence, especially to younger riders.

Accident or even worse, a death waiting to happen

Hey lovely. My son was very poorly for three days so that’s why I was quiet. Nothing to do with algorithm as Hosslife thinks. Or boosting anything.
Sometimes I can’t win.
We have a show tomorrow 👍 x

What’s the deal with Life on the Left Rein and the equitrek lorry then? Seems a bit odd that the much raved about trailer has disappeared, replaced by a lorry with a vague explanation of ‘trying it out for a bit’. And then travelling 2 horses in a 3.5T 🤔

New to the thread! So pleased to hear other people agree on RTG, I stopped following her a while ago due to her heavy handed riding. Same with wimpy eventer, I suspected she wasn't really a nervous rider, just playing a part.
Accounts that I like- georgieandtheequines, natalieshorses and rubyhughes (daughter of Gareth) she's only about 13 and already such an amazing rider

I mostly watch YouTube, accounts i avoid are Erin's videos, to much preening and hair swishing and obv harlow and popcorn, due to her being a child and aimed more for age group and videos drag on alot of nonsense through no fault of hers (her mother) .
To me real influencers are the ones that have to travel miles to their diy livery and muck out at 7am in the morning before work, these ones who have their own stables on their doorsteps with a tonne of horses cooped up in a stable are not influencers, theyre greedy and want freebies crom companies to fund a horse lifestyle they can't afford, they influence people to live beyond their means. Not good

I think she is sponsored by them but not sure why she changed to a lorry as I don’t pay a huge amount of attention, but if she is travelling two in a 3.5ton box then she isn’t a good brand ambassador for equitrek. It’s rare for them to have a payload of over a ton so it’s highly likely she was overloaded. More than happy to be corrected though as I would be interested to know the payload as the reason I don’t have a 3.5ton box is only being able to travel one horse in them.

equitrek trailers have a bad rap from poor quality so it’s probably not working or faulty.
weight limit on the lorry appears to be 1.1 tonne so high probability that it was over loaded. Nor great for promo ☹

A friend of mine bought brand new and cost £27k, it’s spent more time back in the dealership than it has on the road!
probably why Tina now has one of their boxes.
