I actually really like Lucy. Yes she’s extremely fortunate but I don’t think she shoves it in our faces, and in reality she’s just as privileged and lucky as many other influencers out there. I think her videos are actually pretty interesting, the work she does with the Bloodhounds, hat cam footage, etc is nice and varied. She uploads when she has something interesting to upload and they aren’t 4 hours long either 😂. Meanwhile I feel like other people are constantly just repeating the same type of videos every time for the sake of uploading a video..

She claims she used to be, but I’m sure replies further up also say she’s not wimpy at all. It’s great if it helps people over come their wimpyness though and have a confidence boost from one of her camps. They are however a bleeping fortune and way more then I would want to spend on one especially as I have no idea who the instructors, they could be totally wrong for me, meaning almost £400 down the drain.
That’s fair. I know someone who went to Olivia tower clinic for the weekend and rode for 15 mins. £300 down the pan.

I agree, I like Lucy. I felt for her at the VE squad camp when she was having problems with her horse and felt she dealt with the upset and disappointment in good humour where others may have thrown a diva strop! I do prefer the VE squad when they do individual things least of all because often it ends up with 4 near identical vlogs! I did feel for Meg at Bicton 5 star when she was working as a presenter (a great opportunity she had worked hard to get) and the others were lurking in the background trying to get in on the act.

I really like Lucy too. She is really classy I think, only vlogs when she has something to post, shows the reality of riding and losing confidence. Laragh certainly isn’t an easy horse to ride but she kept trying and didn’t strop about it. I think she gets a bit annoyed at how loud and silly the others can get and I do like her dry sense of humour. Yes, she is very privileged but she doesn’t boast about it or act like she isn’t.
I also love her vlogs with the bloodhounds, it’s made me want to give it a go with my local bloodhound hunt! Janine is also very funny.

Does anyone have any info on the ins and outs of Jess Eq and lily equestrian, regarding Inky?

From what I’ve heard, Jess already knew that Inky had navicular when she owned him, but didn’t inform Lily about the navicular when she sold him

100% agree! I think Lucy does a fantastic job and she comes across as a normal, likeable person.

I unfollowed Wimpy ages ago, I like the idea of her camps and would probably do me the world of good but think I would find her overbearing after a day 😬 I have had lessons with the SJ coach she uses and I think she is great, but the cost does put me off.

Her sense of humour grates on me. I will never forget going to Olympia and she was all over my other half, trying to entice him into the stall with her “muffs”. I just gave her a withering look while my other half didn’t know where to look! 🤣🤣 I would have completely taken the joke if she had addressed us as a couple, but the flirting was just embarrassing!

Ewww that’s not classy. I’m not fan of the nickname ‘Daddy Carrot’ either 😬

I did a weekend camp and had 2x45 minute lessons as advertised, certainly no complaints from me, I wonder how the situation arose that the person only got 15 mins!
There’s definitely always 2 sides to a story isn’t there

Her weight is an issue also.

Horses and ponies have weight limits. It’s awful to see so many bigger people on ex racers. These horses are not built for that. No one dare say anything because you are large shaming!

Loose weight people to benefit your horse or get a horse that can carry your weight.

Unpopular opinion but a factual one.
I cant agree any more with this!

I have two ex racers out of work currently because I feel too heavy!

My weight piled on due to medication in the summer so I stopped riding (they are capable of carrying me but just because they can doesnt mean they should!).
I would class myself as a well balanced kind rider too, definitely not a jabber!

The equestrian world is far to sensitive and ignorant to rider weight issues imo.

If you are over a certain weight then you need to very carefully consider the horse that has to carry you or, if indeed any should at all!
