Not making excuses for other content creators, but it is Megs full time job. Many of the others do still work part time so have less time but yeah, they do need to come up with more creative ideas, many equestrian videos are extremely repetitive and get rather boring.

I am also sick of all the give away/sponsored crap, but then I don’t need any of the products as I don’t have a horse at the moment so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Totally agree Meg does seem to make the effort and her vlogs are interesting to watch. The rest are just tit. Make a drink with me , bake with me. Literally all glorified adverts. But then this is why Meg has 100k followers and the others don’t. I remember Meg saying she idolised Tina. Wonder how Tina feels now Meg has literally blown her out of the water with the Vlogs. The student has become the master! Also used to love life on the buckle but sorry just another wannabe Tina copy again no original content. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Be more like Meg 😂
Life on the buckle is a wanna be Tina ( in your words) but you’re saying she needs to be more like Meg?
I’m sorry but are you not contradicting yourself there? Or am I missing something ?

Sophie of Riding Remington making a point that she wasn't on the beg for bedding sponsorship but yet she tags the company in almost every post about the bedding/mucking out 🙄

Yes you have. Be more like Meg in the terms of your own unique creativity not copy Meg 🙄

Does anybody know the deal with Blob the Cob, she seems to all these horses, think 23 at the last look. I know she does schooling livery and sales of horses, but surely that can’t bring that much money in. She doesn’t do YouTube regularly at well. But she’s always says that’s she’s broke. But she can afford all these horses?!

Yeah it doesn’t make sense. She lives at home with her parents and the horses are kept at home, so I’m assuming she has no livery costs but that many horses still costs a lot to keep. Didn’t she have a Go Fund Me page for her horse’s colic surgery and raised £10k? 🤨

which makes me think she doesn’t have them all insured 🤔

And she breeding foals, which isn’t cheap either at all. The amount of vet care they need, and she’s puts them in a stud yard as well.

I think the family run a rescue, the horses are Katie’s though I believe. I know she did do some riding and teaching elsewhere but not sure if she still does. She admitted she doesn’t sell her own though as she gets too attached (I can understand that). I guess not all of her horses are insured, especially the older ones or those not in ridden work. Insurance is expensive but then so are vet bills if something like colic happens. It’s something you have to weigh up or at least put aside the money you would spend on insurance into a separate bank account. I stopped my old horses insurance as a lot of his issues were no longer covered, so I put aside the money instead.

Every time Diary of a Dun says her daughters name I think she is calling her Kahlua. I really don’t understand why people want to give their children made up names. I guess they think they are being edgy and unique. But in actual fact it just looks like they can’t spell, and they are setting the kid up for a lifetime of eye rolling whilst having to spell their name out…

I don't get who goes to meet Life on the left rein at the London Horse Show? I get meeting This Esme and Megan because they both have young audiences and appeal to kids/teenagers as the 'older sister' type to want to be, but I don't see why they would want to meet lotlr, Emily, footluce eventing? They're grown women who event as a hobby? It's hardly like going to meet a professional rider? And surely it's not adult women queuing to meet them? I remember when I was young queuing to meet Ellen Whittaker at Olympia, when she was top of her game and my absolute idol, and getting a photo, my mum would've thought I was mad for wanting to meet 30 year old women who vlog their day to day lives?

I agree, about the age on some extent. But you have to remember at these shows you get a whole range of people going. One of the commentators said on the jumping that it’s one of those show where generations come. He was saying that he remember going when he was little and than bringing his children. So, maybe Olympia are just trying to go across the board. Plus why all four of them are there, it’s possibly them being VE squad. As much as they annoy me at times, they have done a very good marketing tool with the VE squad.

I've only just seen this thread - I haven't read the whole thing but I am relieved that you're not all RTG super fans - I too think she is far too heavy for poor Pepper, not a good rider, and that her videos are pure cringe. Also I don't know where she gets her money from?! I would never want to buy anything she squeezes herself into, that's for sure.

I really like Miri Hackett - she is very honest with the ups and downs of owning and loving horses, very knowledgeable and down to earth. I also subscribe to her Patreon page.

I don't really follow many equestrian influencers but will look on her for ones I might like.

Miri Hackett is a breath of fresh air. She is so hot on behavioural cues and ethical training and I LOVE it. I’m a behavioural science graduate so I’m a nerd when it comes to that sort of stuff.

Meg & Lucy I really like as they have the same sense of humour as me, so they make me chuckle a lot.

Im not an Esme fan but I did like watching her stable renovation, I would love to have my own yard to renovate. What a dream!

I did like watching Elloise Smit (I think that was her name) who had a lovely grey called Jaguar and some other lovely showjumpers but I don’t think she is doing YouTube videos anymore, not any that I have seen anyway.

Does anyone else find the "VE" squad unbearable when they're together. I can't imagine being among them IRL

Raythegoth is the only phrase comes to mind
I used to like Miri Hackett but she started spouting tit about veganism and farming pigs so I unfollowed her. I followed her for horses not bull about stopping eating meat. She should just stick to horsey posts as that’s what she is amazing at.

That Harrison Ashton is a pompous wick isn’t he? Why is he rubbing shoulders with Carl and Charlotte?
I know he’s sniff head like Henry Boswell but I think it’s so weird he is sat with top riders because he has a few followers . Anyone remember when he did onlyfans?
