I’m not very knowledgeable in the use of draw reins but is this actually a known use for them? I’ve never really understood what they’re for but her explanation doesn’t make a lot of sense to me
I dont think his point was that small riders should never ride bigger horses. I think he meant that many ordinary people over horse themselves because they don’t consider smaller horses when really they would be fine on something under 16hh.
She was very early on in creating a YouTube channel & its followed on to Instagram. Shes a spoilt cat. Daddy & Mummy buy her expensive ponies & horses that she overjumps & gallops on hard ground to create content. Shes got a mare that she first broke galloping on hard stubble fields but then developed couldn’t get sound. So even though they don’t know for sure why they are breeding from her.
Then mummy & daddy bought her a v expensive eventer from a top rider. Shes struggled to get on with him. Now shes bought another very young & weak horse unseen & is schooling in draw reins.
I think her time is up on SM shes no longer the fun kid flying about on ponies that made her popular & as a person she is stuck up & unlikeable so not relatable to older people.

Totally agree. pony nuts is one spoilt cat and has nothing likeable about her at all. Just because daddy buys you a DHI horse Doesn’t mean you can ride one. Think this is more the reason than she doesn’t get on with it, I don’t think she is capable of riding a top level horse

She was definitely too big for bear as she is for Dora. Jam and Dee I think she looks fine on. Ponies/ small horses are obviously her comfort zone which is a shame as she did ride Lucinda Fredrick bigger horses well!
Meg has spoken about getting something about 16hh but I expect they're waiting to see where Ari and Winnie are at too.
Basically £1000 for some group zoom calls with a guy with no qualifications?!? Is he feeling okay???

I hate stuff like this on social media now, it’s a bit like the social stable. Are people seriously wishing to pay these people? That’s a lot of money too! £83 a week for 12 weeks!!!!!
But you get to see him in those tracksuit bottoms. Worth every penny
If she were a good & patient rider she wouldn’t need draw reins as a shortcut to encourage straightness.
I’m not entirely sure how draw reins do anything other than put more force than necessary onto the bit, but perhaps I just admire people who take their time.
To give Meg her absolute credit you never see her using things like draw reins on her babies.
this prompted me to go and look at his insta and I clicked on his “offers” highlight…he’s charging £4k for 1:1 coaching… from someone with no qualifications that is wild
it feels like a scam. I wonder if anyone ever actually takes him up on this and what it actually involves?!! I’d love to hear peoples first hand experiences and whether he has actually made a difference?
Draw reins are one of the most overused, misunderstood and harmful pieces of tack out there. I remember using them when I had my first pony many many years ago and looking back now I absolutely cringe at what my poor pony must have felt. Fortunately they were ditched very quickly and we moved on to the next fad, (think it’s was over reach boots that were made out of the petals and we loved the noise the made when we cantered, pony never over reached once in her lifeBut they’re not tight, so it’s okay right

My kids will never know how lucky they were to have parents that understood horses and how to care for them and knew better.To be fair that’s probably what you’d expect to pay for online coaching for three months. I’d want someone that was proven and it’s too rich for my pocket but online coaches are big business now.

Meg did say she’s looking at buying a ‘horse’ this winter… and Ari will grow bigger than the girls. I’m glad she doesn’t have a huge, well bred fancy warm blood. I find it a lot more relatable.
In contrast, Cerys comes across like she’s overhorsed herself with all of her horses. And the fact that she’s sponsored by the most expensive of most expensive brands triggers me, alongside the fact that they’re absolutely minted and have very clearly splashed on their ‘at-home’ set up.
On another note, (I know she’s technically not an influencer however a pro rider and a few have been mentioned before), did anyone see Phoebe Buckley having quite a discussion with Sarah Stout about why Keysoe International failing?

Having a connie I can really relate to Meg especially when Holly came and helped her. I found that more helpful than anyone doing the same vlog with a warmblood that has different issues

Cerys is an extremely talented rider, she will go far as she is still young and confident, she deserves her sponsors, however I don’t totally agree with how far her training has gone with Mary due to the fact shes only 4. She also has well bred and talented horses. I think she is an amazing little rider.
