She’s only acknowledged it cos she’s been personally called out. What gets me about that campaign is not only it’s it not diverse, but Emma isn’t even vegan?! So they overlooked genuine vegan influencers to book Emma?!
Completely agree! Didn't mention it as I thought her not being vegan was trivial in comparison to the diversity issues. But yeah.. remember when the first lockdown happened and she panic bought a load of non-dairy milk and she got called out for it?

Also, apologies if my memory is failing me but has she ever brought up the topic of diversity/BLM? Ever?

It’s definitely not as important as the diversity issue, but I think it raises a very valid point about how and why these people were chosen to be in the campaign. And you totally don’t need to be vegan to enjoy a vegan product but now the issue has been raised Emma just seems an odd choice! And yep I remember the milk incident 😂😂😂

It also proves these influencers are here for 1 thing only ££££

she brought it up in some of her vlogs but since the BLM protests hasn’t mentioned diversity/BLM issues since, as far as I know. As someone with a platform she should be working harder to step back and let actual minority vegans take the limelight for things that are within their line of influencing work? She had no reason to promote Actimel, it’s nothing to do with her brand (outside of her obsession with food), she could have easily have stepped back

Yeah this is the point that I was getting at! She could have and definitely should have stepped aside. It’s done now but I hope she learns from this.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again... she’s clearly thick.
Regarding the actimel post, same as above.

She jumps on the bandwagon when things suit her, then she conveniently forgets to pay attention when it’s out of the news-cycle, because she’s thick and lazy. Being a bit thick about this specific issue means she’s actually furthering white privilege.

Maybe this will make her learn.

I used to really like her - now I genuinely don’t know why I ever did. Her nails are terrible/too long, her make up is cheap and nasty looking.

shes like a mix of Helen Anderson and Grace Beverley, which is NOT a compliment.

Not Emma getting called out for not asking if Actimel if they were doing w diverse campaign on their vegan promo when she ISN’T EVEN VEGAN 😩😂

literally all for show because she was called out for it
her story post afterwards felt very disingenuous too?! like she's mentioned linda sun in her vlog once (i think) but after being called out for her lack of action in making spaces more diverse she immediately publicises her viewing habits (which isn't regular for her either) which just so happens to be an asian woman? feels very coincidental if it's not performative

As with the walk situation she has just swept it under rug rather than address it properly. When Helen Anderson messed up with her haircut she addressed it in her next YouTube, Emma just posted a comment on her video and made a joke of it in the following vlog. It’s a big issue and a story is not enough.

Karis Anderson, Rebekah-Sarah, Rachel Ama, Abby veganbrownting Nanya Florence. Maybe they all said no but they seem to be working on insta / YouTube etc.

Raelikesfroot or even niomi smart at least the last two are actually vegan opposed to emma. Mighy as well have popped gabby lindley on the campaign.

I blame the brand for not being more careful about their campaign. Emma is obviously going to grab at any money she can, they all do. She reminds me more and more of Florence Given at the moment, just waiting for the real mullet haircut and the non apology blaming someone else apologies.

She should nevee have moved her bf in, it's clear they should break up but she doesn't have the confidence to find someone new much less be on her own. He likes the easy free flat, and parent free space and tbh why wouldn't he?

Her house is always such a mess she does decluttering videos and yet it's still over cluttered and a mess 😂 I dont understand l she just put on instagram story what she achieved yesterday and it was her "organised "kitchen cupboard but that cupboard would drive me nuts 😂

What was her job before youtube? The one she professed to hate that initially caused her to gain weight?

Worked in retail I'm not sure if she actually said what it was
It was that makeup store.. can't remember the name but it's a kinda wholesaley vibe. Usually located (or at least I've seen them located) in industrial type places.

Edit: Sally's!

It’s clear she still very much sees it as her flat. It’s all her stuff out and Tim has barely got a mark on it. I think it was forced by lockdown but to me it seems like they’re very good friends, I don’t see anything romantic there.

I’m sorry but please don’t use Helen as a benchmark for apologies 😂 I won’t discuss her here as this isn’t her thread but her actual thread has loads of comments and evidence about her being a wick with this stuff

I think Emma struggles with people being in her space, I think she panicked when it came to lockdown and Tim coming back from uni and support bubbles weren’t a thing untill June? I think because they’ve been together for so long but not always been in proximity to each other (as he was at uni) she sort of feels like she’s missed out on the living with your boyfriend thing. So panicked and was like yes move in with me, but now regrets it as he’s working from home and she can’t just swan about as she used too, I think she really struggles to cope with any change! She shouldn’t have had him move in
But on the flip side, it’s her flat, she paid for it (or the bank of dad did) probs is paying the mortgage so she’s entitled to decorate it how she wants, what she does need to do is get Tim some more storage etc!

ouuu that line about the blackout squares. This tea chile... 🙃

She spoke about BLM and inclusion when it was at its boiling point this year. And as far as I’m aware, she hasn’t mentioned it since. TBH, (speaking for myself: black, Caribbean) I rather they live in their truth... their indifference... than force this “I’m so inclusive and WOKE!” persona that they adopt when there’s controversy.
You don’t have black friends, you don’t collab or even really interact with black creators ... so keep us out ya mouth when things get sticky.
That goes for all of the seasonal social justice warriors.
