I would expect maybe a 13 year old to try and ‘fit in’ with so many drastically different groups, not a grown woman. She really needs to take time out of the public eye, get some intensive therapy, and stay away from her slimy boyfriend, but she’ll never do that. She’s gonna keep dying her hair and throwing temper tantrums about being rejected from fame in 2016 until she fades into obscurity.

The weirdest thing about her goth phase, to me, is how suddenly she jumped into it, while at the same time clearly not having yet worked out what she wants her look to be exactly. Like she just plonked on all the most cliche goth clothing items without putting her own personal spin on anything. Especially at first, she'd wear the same outfits over and over, her makeup looks very unpolished... you'd think if she was interested in dressing more goth she'd start gradually, incorporate new accessories, experiment with makeup... but no, she just tries to immediately adopt a whole new persona, and it looks so unnatural. That just highlights how unhealthy her behaviour is.
It's all to fit in with the pirate boyfriend, most likely.
Also she posted a playlist of her latest album influences and it's all so basic. And nothing remotely metal or hardcore on there, so the goth thing really is just for the aesthetic.

Honestly, imagine being the friend who this song is about. How scary it would be if you cut someone out and they write a whole song about it, and passive aggressively tweet about it over and over. I would feel unnerved.
Also it seems so delusional? When she sings "bet you thought I'd bite at you, but I cherish my energy, I know my worth" blabla- it's like, you are though? You are biting at them in a whole song?? It's really strange to see her be so resentful for being cut out and act as if that's some horrible injustice, while also acting like she's totally cool and happy about it. Emma's also the one who keeps telling people to walk away, cut people out, etc. if someone's being toxic. "You should have let me know" is just her passive aggressively accusing someone of not trying to talk things through with her, because of course she's the victim and it's the other person in the wrong when "drama" happens with her.
Apparently the song is about Cherry, which is absolutely embarrassing on Emma’s part considering Cherry hasnt tweeted or posted anything shady about her. She’s being dignified while Emma spews out this crap.
Haven't listened yet but why is Emma's entire schtick 'these people offended me and I don't even care'? Like @Elinie said, she obviously does care because she goes to the effort of making entire songs about the smallest disagreements. And it's never the win she thinks it is because the songs are almost always embarrassing.
Haha yes absolutely. She gets to gloat about how great it is that she never has to talk to some people again, and how nice it is to shed toxic people, but when someone leaves her they're an mole who needs to work on themselves, because... they didn't warn her enough that they would? If she decides to do it it's fine, but other people should be getting her approval, and defending their decision to her. It's so frustrating.
It also makes me wonder if she uses these years-old "dramas" for inspiration because (whisper it) she doesn't have any other life experience. How can she write songs about stuff when all she's ever known is (checks notes) pirate Dave, vlogging, fake YouTube glitz, and... uh... playing The Sims?
