Peoples thoughts on 'youtube superstar' and apparently the UKs favourite 'comedy vlogger' Emma Blackery? Does anyone still watch her videos?
I swear she changes her style every 6 months, I can't keep upNot anymore. I got fed up with all the new boyfriend stuff. Also the constant rebranding put me off.
Not many, she’s a bit erratic and goes off on the most insane rambles. She’s never recovered from the split with Luke Cutforth.Peoples thoughts on 'youtube superstar' and apparently the UKs favourite 'comedy vlogger' Emma Blackery? Does anyone still watch her videos?![]()

His dreads look like they’re disintegrating! So gross. He generally looks sweaty and grimy though, and is apparently a serial cheater. No idea what Emma sees in himI know this isn’t “Emma” but her boyfriends dreads bother me A LOT. He doesn’t care for them. Look at his dreads, then compare them to someone like FunforLouis, or VictoriaXRave....it’s shocking really.
Phew got that off my chest![]()
I know exactly what you mean. Over a year ago she did a Q&A and someone had asked, “how are you coping with your BPD”, (or something along those lines). And I can’t exactly remember what she replied to be honest but it did confirm the fact she does have BPD.Has she confirmed she has BPD? I know she has alluded to it and there’s been a lot of speculation
I empathise with her (I have BPD too) and I know myself it’s not as easy as ‘just stopping it’. It’s a serious mental illness and it’s hard, particularly as people with BPD tend to be self destructive and self sabotaging. But I do think she needs to address her identity issues beyond making passing reference to her phases. The chaotic nature of changing personality and style isn’t helping her. I hope she’s getting professional help that she’s not sharing
I think YouTube fame has worsened her BPD. In the early years she seemed more genuine and consistent, obviously still copying people and changing herself but not as extreme as going from sassy pop princess to edgy rock chick in a matter of months. She seemed to idolise Hayley Williams for ages and work hard to give off the same aesthetic. I do think early YouTube Emma is the ‘real’ Emma or at least the closest, the Hayley Williams style pop punk girl with a crass sense of humour. Obviously people change and it’s been getting close to a decade since she started YouTube, anyone would be different over that time, but that’s when she came across as most genuinely herself in my opinion
She has a tendency to get involved in drama too, which I know can be a BPD symptom too and it’s not always negative - I’m sure at times she’s convinced she’s doing the right thing. But it damages her brand all the same. For the sake of her career she needs to actually work on this, not make a video every few months saying she’s “done with drama” and then proceed to get involved in more tit
Sorry for the long post, as I said I do like Emma and empathise with her on the BPD front, that’s why I want her to do better for herself. I want her to get professional help and heal, judging from her videos and book she already has some of the know-how, she just needs to do it
Are they even considered dreads at this point? Like if I plait my hair and leave it in all day and sleep like that, by morning it’s so messed up it’s barely a plait. His hair is disgusting. ‘Dreads’ shouldn't be like that!View attachment 88153
Again, not Emma but - PLEASE his dreads at the back! They aren’t meant to look like this. PLEASSEEEEEE!!!!

I was thinking the same thing. so bitter.is it just me or did she come across as really rude and negative in her last video
ME TOO!!Oohh I'm intrigued...
