As I've used Symprove for years I was very interested to see Em is bringing out a pre/probiotic. There's a lot of negative views around Symprove but I have severe IBS and I've read that you only need stuff like pro/prebiotics if you have a stomach issue, it's unnecessary for those who don't have one. I don't see an issue with there being a small tolerable amount of FODMAPs in a supplement and I'm actually very surprised to see a gut specialist say it's a problem - with IBS you don't cut FODMAP high foods out forever, you use the FODMAP diet to identify those which negatively impact you and then cut out/down on those. There will likely be loads of people with IBS who can tolerate whatever FODMAP has been used, just as there will be some people who can't. However, what primarily rules this one out for me is that it's a pill. I'd tried all the high street pre/probiotic tablets and they did nothing for me. Not sure if it's only this, but I've read about how Symprove is more effective because it's water-based and so the good bacteria aren't destroyed on the way down, unlike a tablet. Makes sense to me at least. I also don't agree in principle with influencers developing supplements, considering Em is not registered as a nutritionist at the moment then she is ultimately just an influencer right now. I wouldn't be any more inclined to buy a supplement from her than I would someone like Niomi Smart, to be honest.
Super informative, thank you!

And if Niomi designed supplements it would look like this lol.

@sorrypardonme what is the point on your posts? No one here needs to justify anything to you. You can say “don’t look” about any of the thread on tattle. “I can chose not to look or click” is the worst argument for these influencers. I followed Emily for ages, and then got sick of the undeclared ads, the shady content where she was promoting stuff she didn’t use, the fakery of it all and even a gifted (undeclared!) engagement ring ffs! Why should they get away with it, especially when there are impressionable people who believe it all. Plus she is just really annoying 🤣 It is a place to comment on all of this - make a rave thread if you want and let the rest of us get on with what we want which is discussing all of the above on here and calling out the bullshit 🤷🏼‍♀️
I’m not raving about her? I agree with many of the points discussed, as I’ve previously said, doesn’t mean I can’t provide a nuanced view. It’s a gossip thread, not a dragging thread? In fact, the first comment on this thread is a rave comment 😂😂😂 And I was merely asking someone else, (not you 👀) a question because I’m curious.

It’s more the lack of transparency that bothers me, influencers don’t tell you which store they used, it’s hidden in a tinyurl, so even if you don’t like the influencer but want to know more about the item you’re rewarding their cloak and dagger antics by clicking on the link. We all know that not marking “ad” or “aff” is a shitty thing to do but no one speaks about the clickbait links designed to help them profit from your browsing habits.
Yes the lack of transparency is shitty, especially if you don’t know how these links work. I didn’t know until Tattle 🤣🤣🤣 but if they did declare it, and I like the influencer I don’t have a problem using their link and them making money from me. But that’s just me!

I can’t stand it when they peddle a product they’ve NEVER talked about and now claim to love it 🥱 or they rave about a certain mascara let’s say but then literally the next day plug a different mascara they claim to use EVERYDAY, it’s incred blah blah BUT WITH A LINK… stfu 🤣🤣🤣 no you don’t.

Carrie Johnson talking about Emily’s version of the joe and the juice spicy tuna … I am intrigued to see if Em will repost Carrie’s story ….!

Any nutritionists or dietitians I know wouldn't promote planish. They aren’t fortified with any nutrients and they also have pointless juice shots and juice 'cleanses' where you drink nothing but juice for 5 days 🙄
All of these little shot things are absolutely useless. That includes your “I saw you coming” Zoe shot Tim Spector 🤨

Feel Good Foodie on TikTok says “so good” at the end of her vids, and she boasts 2million followers - why is Emily copying 😂

Not really sure why a nutritionist would need to ask for recommendations on what to do with a common virus…. unless they were using it as a ruse to increase engagement 🤷🏻‍♀️
Yeah seriously, she should be giving that info and not the other way around. But with all the fibbing these online doctor wannabes do is best when they don't give advice.

It’s interesting that her narrative is “I used to have an eating disorder and now I’m healed and I love food” when she’s got the visible sternum of someone still deep in restricted eating. It’s new wave thinspo, eating yoghurt in a full face of makeup and silk pajamas, shilling for anyone that will pay you. View attachment 3021003View attachment 3021004
