I used to really enjoy watching Ellen but I’ve not watched her for ages. It’s all a bit meh now she doesn’t work and her videos are very ‘samey’. I think I went off her when she and her mate were in the living room one time and they were just screaming for no reason

When I still watched her regularly, I would always skip over anything involving her friends/parties etc as both her and Cameron were always so loud and OTT during these times. Cameron, in particular, never comes across particularly well when she shows him with his friends. Always so rowdy!

I mean it all a bit much isn't it .

They are in south Africa for wedding prep and a wedding of another friend.

She is quite lonely really ...sad

It's all very dull now. I do wonder how she must be finding her new life as a full time youtuber in comparison to her corporate role. In her shoes I would struggle to find conversaton to make with my partner (i'm comparing to how I felt on maternity leave and whilst enjoying time with my baby, felt a bit out of touch with reality). If she is just biding her team till the wedding and getting pregnant it would be refreshing to see her doing some voluntary work rather than spending every vlog baking, buying coffee and book shopping.

I feel like the truth is being stretched here to suit her narrative. She is clearly reading here.

I thought the same when watching the latest vlog, as she seemed to be making an effort to tone down the (usually constant) hand movements - when she was in the car, it seemed she was sitting on her hands to stop moving them! It's hard to break a habit but it seems she's trying, which is definitely a positive!

I only just discovered Ellen last week when one of her 9-5 videos came up in my feed. I really enjoyed it, and liked seeing how her day went - and she had a similar commute to me, I think we must live in the same borough. I watched a few more of her videos, and enjoyed them and thought good for her for working full time and finding time for all the 'cosy' activities, so it's disappointing to see she has just become a generic influencer, I'm sure that wasn't how she got her subscribers, she is completely unrelateable now..of course she has all the time to pursue her hobbies now she is unemployed!

Sadly, me too.
I can't understand how an adult with a good career could become a bit of an empty shell with little of interest to share.
It feels like her world has shrunk and unless you're living in an expensive semi in Surrey with a wealthy fiancé, planning a wedding in SA and looking forward to a life of living comfortably with little need to meet bills, then she has little in common and most of us are sidelined.

I don't bother watching her these days, it's just not interesting.

She annoys me SO much now and a random Ick I have with her is her nails. Go to a decent salon girl, you got enough money.. they shouldnt be flicked up like that if that’s your natural nail then you should definitely not be having them rounded or almond shaped.

For anyone who did enjoy her content for ‘normal’ life working etc, i recommend Jess Harris.

Jess is brilliant,im only hoping she doesn't do the same as Ellen. Recently noticed a few undeclared gifted items and forcing the camera into her boyfriend/family members faces. Jess is definitely more likeable and I think her boyfriend is quite down to earth and won't allow the pretentious influencer behaviour to take over,unlike Ellen,who doesnt appear to live in the real world,everything is comfy,cozy and cute

She's acting like a 13 year old on a sleepover in the latest one, with her getting ready morning routine - and why does she refer to herself was 'we'?! The hands weren't had bad in the latest one, thankfully. Pissed my sides when she said she 'works from home' - what, titting about on Notion and putting out a video a week . Let's see how the Notion planning works out when she's got a kid to look after and the inevitable labradoodle...!

Referring to herself as 'we' is so annoying. It's just as annoying as referring to her handbag as 'she'.

Are her views dropping? I just noticed that her last few vlogs have under 10K views. Seems low. I'm sure her channel used to be more popular? Perhaps people are tiring of her.

I really can’t get over that THIS is her full time job. I think she’s lying about how much she pays for things, or at least is exaggerating. No way a couple YouTube videos a month which rarely cross 20k views are enough to pay for half their mortgage, vacations, wedding, etc. honestly wish she would be more transparent

I don't think Cameron will get bored of her - from what we have seen of him, he seems like a very conventional simple kind of soul, and she has clearly morphed into the kind of woman he wanted; which is a real shame she changed herself so much from being a successful career woman to a basic trad wife type for him..

So annoying how she keeps referring to inanimate objects as 'she' and 'her'. When speaking about her new cardigan: "I love her. She's so cute!" I think she always referred to her car in this way - but now it's everything in her life, cardigans, mugs, the lot!

I hate it, it's so twee and patronising! Joel Wood (another pointless YouTuber in his 30s who twats about pretending to be busy doing nothing) does it, too, when talking about his plants, VERY annoying!

Continuing the conversation here. I agree with all the comments on Ellen.

I have a 9-5 and it was great seeing her routine on Youtube and how she was able to navigate work, and life in general.

All she does now is faff about, upload boring book contents with subpar reviews. I reckon she’s banking on using her wedding to produce contents, and eventually kids for more contents as that’s the natural progression for these influencers.

I do wonder if it's Ellen's OTT hand clapping persona that has turned a lot of people off. I know it's one of the main reasons I stopped watching. She wasn't always like that.

I think I mentioned this further up thread, but what put me off Ellen was when she had a friend round once and they were just screaming constantly about nothing. Cameron walked in and then walked straight out again. Absolutely ridiculous from a 30 year old.

For someone who had a lucrative career and part owns a house worth well over a million quid on the Thames, she behaves like a young teenager.
