A shining light on Instagram and for people who get fame
yeah I agree, at least he is contributing (massively) to society as an Aand E doctor, rather than all the other reality stars

This really is incredible
amazing but sad that it has taken a reality star for the government to take action on this. But either way well done him on doing something so important

Ffs it is not “online abuse” it’s valid criticism !

Another update on his Instagram - pleased to see he has at least admitted his idiocy in this one
So his family already owned the properties? Can’t tell if he’s just back tracking. Also HOW can you be unaware of the housing crisis ?! I call bs

I used to really respect him, however they’ve had that chateubriand at 50_cheyne twice this week… I have had to rely off 29p jarred sauces and the worst quality pasta/bread… I’m not jealous but he needs to realise millions of people see his stories and feel like they’re being kicked whilst they’re down

Maybe I'm just old, but is it really so unacceptable to say to someone they're looking healthy? Now all comments about appearance are strictly offlimits?

It's getting ridiculous. I've lost a bit of weight (I really needed to) and loads of people keep telling me I'm looking good...'you've lost weight', 'looking skinny', 'looking good'. I like it! I don't take offence. But I did notice on the weight loss thread on here that people are offended if they're told they've lost weight and look good. I don't get it? To me, I want people to notice I now look a lot healthier instead of very overweight. 🤷‍♀️

I know he's only done the Only fans account as a thing to share wellness stuff and self care stuff. Rather than porn like most others. But self care and OnlyFans is basically a wank. This one just doesn't quite work as a good move. I like the bloke, I've a lot of time and respect for him. But not sure about this one.

And yes it's obviously his mental health champion role is government PR, but hell, he might make a difference somehow, even if it's a small change. It's worth a try. At least he is speaking to the people who are able to help bring change, if they want to.

And I don't disagree that he is giving himself this great PR image out of it all as well. Got himself a bath bomb range now to sell. So he's making moves for himself out of it all - which again, I don't have a problem with myself. But I can see why others find it all a bit self-promoting. But I kinda don't give a shit. In the grand scheme of influencers, he's at the least shitty end for me.

And he's almost unique as an influencer in that he does actually tag his ads from what I've seen.

If you think this is genuine you are thick as mince. He’s just jumping on the Dry January bandwagon.
I have to agree on this, its always the "in thing" he has to post about.

His next cause should be a social media break! Social media is about attention and clout so I suppose some of them are running out of things to be wrong with them.

I like Dr Alex but I don’t like the pill posting posts. I take medication and am ok with it, no stigma. I just don’t want the world and his wife knowing my business and exactly what I take. Does everything have to be so public these days. And is anyone that interested?!

I looked up the article. He says the £1,000 includes taxis and meals when he would be out drinking!
This logic is so stupid. He’s basically saying he’s not gone anywhere or out to eat whilst being sober. Great message to send, that you can only have fun nights out if they’re booze fuelled??

So because others struggle he shouldn’t have gifted holidays? That’s how I read that. Like I don’t care either way. If someone is gifted something good luck to them. When I had my twins everyone told me to open my Instagram and I’d be sent stuff. That life is not for me. I’d rather keep myself and my children private. I don’t judge those who do it hit it’s not my cuppa. But to say he’ll never know the struggles while his on another gifted holiday etc. so he should just always stay home because others struggle. For me it makes no difference. He can have all the gifted holidays it don’t change my day to day life. I’ll continue to save for our family holiday this year after years of not having one due to covid and it’ll feel better than ever because we’ve missed out. But begrudging him a holiday 😑
You aren’t the countries face of youngmental health though. Apparently understanding peoples struggles at a time when prices are being hiked, people were out of work during covid and struggles are real.

I don’t care what he gets for free personally, it’s a bit short sighted to on one hand pretend to understand the struggles and on the other post constant luxuries and freebies knowing that people are following you as a mental health ambassador

I actually stopped following as his stupid noise he did throwing his bath bomb in daily riled me 😂

There's a fine line between 'self care' and looking after mental health, and becoming dangerously self involved. I think plenty of influencers cross that line.

Whilst I do not agree at all with the comments made , of course Dr Alex had to step in and jump on the bandwagon. Anything for the likes and gram I guess.

Maybe he is on anti depressants... They can make you gain weight.
So can his good lifestyle he has now! Always eating out and eating on his free holidays plus he’s not working in A&E now so probably not as active. But I said it wasn’t on here ages ago when he started putting weight on that it’s probably intentional, so he can quote #bekind when people start criticising him for it.

Unpopular opinion here...

I can't stand this guy.

He's smarmy, self indulgent and fame hungry. Plays the 'good doctor' card and uses to the NHS in his quest for self promotion.

He's as insincere as they come.
I thought I was the only one, everybody loves him 🙄 Fair play for promoting some important issues and working on the frontline as it were, but I just don’t find him sincere.
