She’s so dangerous! Not to insult any GP but consultants are specialists in their field! And I’m sure are exposed to much more serious aspects of whatever speciality they cover! gps have a broad range of knowing on a lot of things but they don’t specialise in anything unless if they are very interested in something specific (woman’s health etc- I don’t mean that con artist dr Laura )
Exactly. Not denigrating G.P.s at all, and I have a great one. She has extra specialisation in a couple of areas (and I mean real, accredited expertise rather than having gone on press trips sponsored by skincare brands like Dr. Laura as you say 😂), but she is also the first to say "Look, I'm not a Consultant, this is something for them" if it's something beyond her. That's the mark of a good G.P.!

Her stance is a complete paradox also: "Well, Consultants can be wrong you know, but I, Dr. Doireann, with approximately two years of General Practice on a very sporadic and part time basis under my belt, am of course an authority on all aspects of medicine. Your Urologist? With their years of experience and hours of clinical practice? Doubt he's as up to date in his actual field of expertise as I". 😂😂😂

She’s not fit to be a health professional. She’s clearly anorexic and needs professional help.

She’s fond of the auld video of her stick thin legs cycling a bicycle… 🤦‍♀️

She actually is, I work in a pharmacy and the rep rang today to tell me they'll fly off the shelf, I couldn't stop laughing, shur no1 in their right mind would buy them 😅
Too many follow the power of the doctor in the label, she's a snake oil pusher, no integrity at all. She's been very clear how her ambition was to be a celebrity doctor, look up Dr. Oz a similar slimy person who used to work with Oprah. I can't imagine she cares about her patients wellbeing probably prescribes them to look at her stories and can only talk about female reproduction. Next thing she'll write a book, the money grabber, she already has a podcast. I wonder are those around her embarrassed too

Look on her Instagram how it's a lot of the other influencers congratulating her, it's all about them scratching each others backs, trying to gain a follower off the other

Can we all just take a moment for her act of heroism / insanity / absolute nonsense that she has to go to the office at 7am on a Sunday to “catch up with work”. Like she works PART. TIME. Is there not an afternoon she can stay late and catch up. She mustn’t have literally anything else or anyone to spend her Sunday with. Again it all screams of a lonely , sad existence doesn’t it?

I had to deal with her on the phone before and she was so rude as well. She acted like I was putting her out when I asked about a prescription for a patient, she told me she was very busy and it would take a few hours for the prescription. 5 minutes later she's posting a selfie on insta. She is such a fake wannabe. I pity her patients.
Shur didn’t someone say on this that she got sacked from that Cork GP Nick’s place as she was inappropriately using the surgery taking photos. A patient complained as they were waiting so long in the waiting area to see her and noticed her post on Instagram right there and then. I’m sure there were more complaints etc but that was the breaking point.

The thinness is obviously so worrying. But why THE F*CK does she write 'about last night' on 70% of her posts?
And she’s hardly Ronnie Wood, she doesn’t even drink which is fine but ‘about last night’ suggests something more exciting happened than you doing an all-alone boomerang of your chamomile tea

I messaged her very politely a couple of weeks ago after she posted a story saying that all pregnant women who contracted covid would be put on blood thinners. This is, and was at the time, against the advice of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, who state that thinners should be used once a risk assessment is complete (for context, I would not at any point in my current pregnancy need thinners if I got Covid, unless something almost impossibly drastic happened). Anyway, sent her a really nice polite message explaining this. The only reason I did so is because there is massive fear with those who are pregnant who get Covid, particularly as some hospitals are automatically trying to induce people or put them on thinners. I genuinely think the fear of it would put people off declaring they had covid, and potentially risking their health. I was hoping she might correct the info she put out somehow, but she didn't. Just found it really disappointing. On my third covid pregnancy, the first birth alone without my partner because of restrictions, the second baby lost at 11 weeks again without my partner by my side, and thankfully pregnant now. Just think there's a lot of harm that can be done through the fear caused by misinformation. I don't know why it rubbed me up the wrong way so much, but covid pregnancy has been stressful enough, and I'd imagine people might be sent into a spin if a doctor is saying they'd need thinners when they might not!

But how will everyone know she is married to a surgeon if she doesn’t use her married name? It’s not like she ever mentions it 🤣

I'm torn with this. Dr. D is terrible for advice and Claire has a point. But Claire is then going on about how she'd "prescribe" stuff, she's not qualified to prescribe anything so it kind of weakens her argument.

It’s one thing being thin, I mean who cares really?!

It’s quite another to manipulate yourself into such a shape that you look extremely thin and wear massive sunglasses, have massive hair extensions etc to emphasise that thinspo aesthetic and let’s face it, that’s exactly what she’s deliberately doing. Visible collar bone always to the fore. This is wrong for her to do as a doctor. It’s wrong and it has nothing to do with anyone being naturally thin 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m guessing when you guys were sitting with your colleagues you didn’t advise them to only eat naughty root veg at the weekend or scold them for being divils for having two slices of bread. This situation is absolutely not the same thing as you’re describing.

Has anyone here noticed that she’s changed her eye colour? She used to have really blue eyes but now seems to be wearing brown contact lenses full time.
Ooh, maybe she was pulling a Paris Hilton for years and the blues were contacts and now she's gone back natural! Either way who could be arsed 🙈
34 years old and has the time/inclination to play around with coloured contacts on a daily basis purely for altering her appearance (not for her sight)? Just very weird and narcissistic behaviour.

I remember years ago Doireann used to talk about her stomach issues and why she is on a strict diet, my sister in law is the very same. People who don't know of her health condition would think my sister in law has an unhealthy relationship with food but its far from that. She is on a strict diet to prevent her from needing a colostomy bag ... I see how restricted she is when choosing meals . She's the same age as Doireann with 3 small children.
Right, except she's spoken numerous times about how women should only have starchy carbs on the weekends, as a treat etc. Which has nothing to do with her health issues, it's just disordered eating.

Some people must have mentioned it to her. All the SP and getting her house done entirely for free, she was losing credibility as a doctor. She’s definitely had a change in direction recently. She has just been posting medical things and only the odd SP. She was losing so many followers after receiving her free kitchen which she can do doubt afford. She has her husband should be mortified.

Yes! She applied for it before she was even fully qualified as a GP she said before. I mean......the audacity!! I see her bio says she's now a lecturer too. Jaysus.
Also she isn’t a lecturer!! She seems to be just teaching clinical skills in small groups. Lots of GP’s do that but it’s not lecturing!!!

I'm a bit late to the party but I've just spotted an ad for the vitamins on a site and clicked through. I nearly fell over with the price, wtaf!!!
I know we should put hood stuff in out bodies but €10-15 for basic vits that are a few quid in boots, tesco etc. It's just ridiculous.
And the pink branding and writing just reminds me of some pyramid scheme like juice plus or a fat loss pill. She's a joke of a doctor. Imagine being on a ward with a real sickness and she comes towards you 🤣

Remember when she was on the Matt Cooper show and she couldn’t list out sources of omega 3 foods and now she can just recommend her supplement.
She’s chronic. She saw the gap in her knowledge and filled it with a supplement.
