Hello
Another Ds Refugee here.
I usually only venture onto DS now when
I want something to send me to sleep because it is so dry and boring.
When i first joined DS it was lively and you could
ask questions without appearing stupid. Nowdays everyone has an attitude.
I have one poster on there on permanent ignore because as soon as someone comments they don’t like a particular character in a tv show they cry RACIST.

Hi everyone. I joined DS about fourteen years ago and have to agree with comments in this thread about certain posters who don't think others should have an opinion that differs from their own. The Politics forum is the worst, it's horrendous and Support just let it go. I've been warned on there so many times for the most trivial posts, mainly for having an opinion. It's not been the same since SULLA was banned as his little quips were hilarious and he never let the argumentative idiots get to him.

I'm currently banned for daring to include my own opinion but I can't understand why? Anyway, I stumbled across you all in here, and I think I'm going to enjoy myself.

I understand that a lot of the pseudo politicians on DS are also on twitter. Many of them post links to twitter. Mind you, some of them post links from the Daily Mail but only ever with a disclaimer to say that they don't read it because then they'd be out of the loop so to speak! Then others post about the comments in the Daily Mail online so that they can complain about them and appear to be one of the knobhead gang. They love to be permanently offended and outraged. It must be very tiring:D
You always get a load of people saying they're not reading a Mail link whenever you do that! It's really childish!

Was skimming through the soap forums today, it's all so stilted. God knows what happened in one of the Corrie threads! I'm glad I never got into it properly, there's a handful of posters who just seem to take ownership of a thread. Most of the soap threads just go around in circles, asking the same questions or getting into little spats over things easily googled.

I went to look at Tanya's comeback after reading it here, back to story time I see, lol! A school so strict they made her practically bow, but were totally fine with her amazing cat flick eye liner. I can only dream of being that cool! lol!
Yes - so can she!

Phil- I think a lot of stuff is made up on there! I think we all have a vision of Ms T in our minds- we’ll never know how near the mark we are!
I caught one of her posts about how she is willing to live in a small poky flat because it has the right postcode (One of the posh London ones like SW or something). I honestly would love to see what they are in real life. I don't buy any of their crap for a second!

Hopefully not. They can all stay there enjoying their echo chamber.

I think it would blow their minds if they came here and ventured into the Harry and Meghan thread :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

It used to be such a good forum back in the day. The BB forum was excellent, it used to get heated at times but it became a hub for Big Brother fans. I did use the Strictly forum until the last series, but I noticed it was much quieter than it had been in previous years.

Another DS refugee here.

Dared to be happy about the lifting of COVID restrictions earlier in the week, but apparently I was an 'idiot'. Questioned why?

Next time I logged on ALL my (polite) responses had been removed but the idiot post is still there.

Would love to know what walterwhite and tanya1982 have on the mods cos there can post any shit they like.
They are very touchy there about covid and if someone questions the status quo no matter how reasonable your point or the data you produce, if it isn't a government scientist or something on the BBC that you link to then they won't think you are credible. Its really sad that its like that on d.s and can result in a warning or possible ban for speaking your truth about how you see the situation with covid 19 and concerns around how its been handled or other observations.

I believe they basically bullied the autistic poster off the site. She went by the name of mormon girl and later a different name. I find the soap threads horrifically embarrassing. 🤦‍♀️ But I do enjoy when they fight with each other over a difference of opinion 🤦‍♀️😅
Yes they are a bunch of bullies and no opinion other than 'correct' opinion is allowed.
It's the endless moralising that's really embarrassing and wanting it to be realistic 🙄
I watch EE to be entertained and couldn't care less about the criminal activity, its a bloody soap!
They all seem to think that they know exactly what a character would do and that the script writers have lost their minds when a 'nice' character suddenly does something bad.

The majority of posters seem intent on wanting to make the show as dull as possible. If they got their wishes most of the cast would be in prison and the 'nice' characters would be left wandering around the square being kind to each other 😁

They've just closed down a thread devoted to discussing people who used to post on there but no longer do. Why would you do that!?

Oh god I think I’ve had a run in with him when I pointed out that Kelly Brook beat up one of her ex boyfriends and then tried to make a joke out of it. Obviously I must just be soooo jealous of her 🙄
Lets hope that urban legend about her is true and he will be crying into his pillow every night.

The mods have always been faceless hitlers over there.
Exactly, it's not worth your time - just post elsewhere and ignore the place. I've hardly been on myself apart from to look at the soaps forum last night having endured what was possibly the worst Emmerdale episode known to man. Bizarrely they liked it, so maybe I'm in the minority. :p

The classic soap threads have all been taken over by the gaggle old boys club I've noticed. I use to enjoy reading them, but they've completely changed in tone now. There's a couple of users who have completely taken them all over, and they are boring and repetitive now.

Who was the DS member that posted about having fetishes involving urinating themselves in front of kids?

No, I'm not making this up. There generally was a member on there who used to post about that kind of thing.

There used to be a poster years ago who lived in Bradford and had a baby with a Muslim man, she was white and British for context. He treated her appallingly. He continued to have a relationship with her, but his family didn’t even know that she and the baby existed. Im sure he and arranged marriage eventually, and yet she continued to see him, even having a tattoo with his nickname for her. It was fairly obvious that she was just an easy shag/bit on the side for him and he was never going to officially acknowledge her or the baby because his family were really devout Muslims and would never accept it, She would always turn up on the Advice forum asking for advice, and it didn’t matter how many times people pointed all this out to her she could never see it. She would always refer to him as her ‘partner’, but he was obviously anything but that.

I don’t know if she still posts? That baby must be at least ten by now. Maybe even older. I think the posters name was Emma. I often wonder how that turn out.

Good to see you here :)
Thanks Wolfshead, you too :)

I read some of the thread on DS when it all kicked off over the weekend - before the cull - and I just assumed the references to posts on another site were talking about dogs.

Now I’m halfway through this thread I realise they meant here, and I see that half of DS are also here 😂

Can I just wave and say Hello - I've just come over from ds. I have been reading & lurking on there for years but not really posting as it is so cliquey. I am also not their type as I do not agree with the general left wing woke.
