Hello, I’ve been lurking on this thread a while and hope some of you knowledgeable ladies can help me. I’ve just got a new job (my dream job tbh 😄) and I have been thinking of what I could get to mark the occasion. There’s no rush, but I had thought about some nice loafers or a belt or a tote bag.

Anyway, I’ll also need a lanyard for the first time, and it got me wondering, is there such a thing as a “nice”/designer lanyard? Not that I’d want it to be covered in logos, but just something a bit special.
Thanks in advance!

Changing the subject.

Anyone seen or know of any good sales coming up?

Also, I'm in the market for wedding shoes (woohoo!). Do you guys have any recommendations? I want coppery gold rather than ivory/silver and I would prefer an open toe. I really like the Aquazzura Tequila sandals but for £1100 it's just too much :-(

I feel like theres a very fine line between the current generation and designer, against the older generation and designer ...

Don't get me wrong, I'm a sucker for a trend and I love my Marc Jacobs tote and LV Wallet on chain, but everything seems so common and "normal" nowadays the rush and excitement for designer items has been lost :(
I think that's why I've steered away from the Neverfull types (was always the bag on my absolute wishlist) and gone for the Loewe basket ibiza in the crazy yellow and newer (to me) brands such as Maje in the 70s crochet orange because there aren't the fakes of those, yet!

Yes I have the fake celine belt 🤣 but when in Spain recently I could've got a plethora of faux bags - I used to when younger, but they've lost their appeal as have the real versions of the ones so commonly faked

This thread is a bad influence, I’ve been eyeing up the green goyard ever since someone posted it the other day 🙈😂
This thread cost me....too damn much on a Cartier ring 🤣. And a basket bag. And a LV key pouch.

So I'm paying it forward by sharing my loves 🤣🤣

I love the Loulou too! My dream is a Chanel flap, so might go second hand now.
My dream bag used to be the classic flap for many years, I’m delighted that I’ve gone off it now especially with the sickening price increases. I posted a few days ago that I got the Toy Loulou and at £1k less than the small, I’m really happy with it. You can double up or swap out the strap for a chain and it’s a similar look, plus the toy is a lot easier to wear cross body.

I've gone for Pink as I'm pasty 😆😆 the discount was too good!!

I've just sold my Dior saddle purse so obviously need a Dior item in my life still (justification)
My Chanel lip balm arrived. The packaging is exquisite. It came with a tiny little booklet in the box, like a letter from Coco herself. I also bought the Chanel lipstick brush. It’s lovely! The logo is indented into it and it feels really sturdy. I am leaving the lip balm to work it’s magic before applying lipstick! It’s these small pleasures that keep us ticking along!

I think it just comes down to personal choice - I’m not a fan of logo belts, I think they easily stray into chav territory and they’re so easy copied but if you like then go for it.

hey ladies!

I would like to buy myself something nice to celebrate getting a new job, but I have no idea what would fit my criteria. I'd like something that's maximum 600 dollars, holds it's value at least and that I can wear for decades to come.. so maybe jewelry? also I'm really into quiet luxury or something that can be a bit invisible.
I’m not one to advise on jewellery but how about something like a small wallet or card holder. This one from Celine is nice and I think the Chanel classic card holders are around £500ish.

I’ve seen a lot about lab v natural diamonds. Do you have any knowledge about this? Are lab diamonds still classed as real diamonds and are they of the same quality as mined diamonds? X
Im not an expect on lab diamonds however I know they are chemically identical to natural diamonds, all their physical properties are the same, except they are made in a lab and not mined from the earth. They are meant to be a lot more environmentally friendly, and cheaper than natural diamonds :) but they don’t hold their value as well as natural diamonds, hence why I personally prefer mined over lab. I will say though, no one will ever be able to tell the difference unless you take it to a jeweller and they use special machines. They are both diamonds at the end of the day 💎

if you do like lab diamonds, my friend buys from “vrai” which she says is amazing, and their pieces are beautiful

I hate my Hunza G swimsuit. It snagged in the first 3 mins of wearing it and is now covered in pulls and has gone all bobbled.
I also don’t buy into the ‘one size fits all’ claim - I’m a size 10-12, and it gives me a permanent front and back wedgie and clings horribly over my mum-tum.

Gonna share it then?! 👀😂

It's not formally listed as the brand of course 🤣 but for the 2 x a year I wear a belt...it will do 🤣

I’m not sure. I like earrings and bracelets/bangles. On a normal day I wear Cartier trinity earrings, trinity necklace, love bangle and an onyx vca. I’d like to swap the love bangle out and perhaps even the onyx vca to something that is just gold/silver and diamond. I also want a classic everyday watch that’s a little elevated. I suppose I just want some everyday staples that I can wear for a few months at a time in rotation so I don’t get bored.
How about a diamond tennis bracelet? I bought one about a year ago and it’s my absolute staple for fine jewellery. It doesn’t even need to be a luxury brand, you can get one from a local jeweller, which is much more cost effective

I’m also on the hunt for solitaire diamond earrings, but in a different cut (not round), like pear or emerald 🥰
