My local flannels (not Manc) is honestly not the one. They cater to chavs they have the most commonly bought high end pieces. The beauty bit is ok but the rest 👎.
I went into my local one and it was literally empty for customers. Doesn't really fit in that town..

Just had to Google the beauty as this was a new thing to me - their beauty department does look lovely! I’ve often wondered about the chav aspect, I think it’s the Sports Direct angle. I remember when they had a couple of small shops in Manchester about 25 years ago and they felt almost a bit too exclusive. Now they’ve gone the other way.

Does anyone have a Marc Jacobs tote bag (the one that has 'the tote bag' printed on it)?
I've been eyeing the small beige one as it seems a perfect medium size bag that's not that expensive, but I'm wondering if the quality is good and if it will be worth it to purchase 😅

Hello, I've been dipping in and out of lurking on these threads but have a question as I saw that Bicester Village was spoken about a few pages back!

I have a week off work at the end of Nov/early Dec and wanted to make a trip there as I've never been. The only thing I want to buy is a pair of dressy shoes for a few weddings I'm attending next year. I've got my eye on Manolo Blahnik and was wondering if I can get some tips so I can strategize my time there. Sorry I can't remember the posters name but it was mentioned that there is a QR code system instead of queing? I was thinking of going midweek to avoid the ques and weekend rush so wonder if anyone can recommend an optimum day to visit? What shops do I need to visit? What's the best spot for lunch? How many hours do I need in order to see all the big shops?

I went last Saturday midday. It was horrible. I usually visit after work on a Thursday, from 5 to close it’s empty and lovely. You probably need about 3-4 hours I would say to do all the big shops. Honestly I found it a bit rubbish at the weekend, the offers aren’t so good leading up to Christmas.

The fabric one? My friend has one just for kids stuff instead of a baby bag and it’s kind of lost it’s shape but, it’s very pretty

I have it, I got the small black one from TK Maxx!! It was £100. It’s good quality but I’ve still not made my mind whether to keep it or not yet.

Received a bit of money following a death in the family so treated myself to my first ever Louis Vuitton! Got the pochette Felicie which I think is pretty hard to get but it just happened to pop up online so I grabbed it. Also ordered a monogram strap to wear with it as don’t want a gold chain strap all the time!

It looks great on you!! Is it roomy or do you carry just essentials? It’s such a cute bag

also, I’m sorry for your loss ♥ xx

Thankyou, it was my grandma but she was 94 so had a long life!
It doesn’t fit much in, it comes with two inserts (a card holder and a little zippy pochette) but I leave those out to make more space. So I can fit my glasses, iPhone, car keys, house keys and my bank cards. It’s fine if you just carry essentials, and even better if you don’t need to carry glasses!

Sorry for your loss.

I feel your pain with the glasses, they take up so much space in a small bag!

Sorry for your loss.

I have a felicie too but also don't like the gold chain much. I have a dupe unbranded vachetta leather strap from etsy at the moment but thinking to buy a suitable strap as well. Love yours!

Agreed it doesn't fit much. Not a flexible bag. Actually want the pochette accessoires now 🤣
