The reality TV/ Z list celebs have really ruined a lot of things for me. Cartier, Chanel, LV & YSL are all everywhere. Even Hermes (tbh I was never a huge huge fan) has become off-putting as so many youtubers/instagrammers are getting the Birkins and Kellys. It's really hard to be original with purchases. But what can we do? It's not going to change.
I totally agree. I loved my Cartier JUC as nobody was wearing it at the time. Also has an extra special meaning. At the time everyone was wearing the love bracelet. Now I see it everywhere and it looks so cheap.
I am planning to get a new bracelet for everyday just I want something that not a lot of people have.

I feel some of you may disagree with my statement. I don’t get the trend where people are wearing all high end jewellery bracelets in one wrist ? I think it’s so tacky and distasteful and doesn’t show the beauty of the actual piece. Less is more.
I can’t stand lots of Cartier bracelets stacked up even worse when they are all different colours. I think it’s hideous. I want to cry when I see they add a VCA bracelet. I just think WHY?

I have just ordered my first Gucci bag today! Love designer bags but can never bring myself to pay the price. I have a few Marc jacobs and coach bags but this will be my first more ‘high end’ designer bag!
So I am returning it! Love it but the strap is non adjustable and it just feels that little bit too short crossbody to be comfortable, as the bag itself is quite bulky so it just didn’t feel right! So I’ve gone with the Ophidia mini instead! A lot smaller but I think I will get more wear out of it!

I've read that LV are doing the same 😪
They just had a large price increase, mainly on smaller entry items like the pochette accessoire and the mini pochette.

But I think items that were left out of that increase will be going up soon
The number of times LV increased prices even just within the first few months of lockdown was disgusting.

The new Chanel classic flap prices!!! 😱

also I had a dream that for ONE DAY ONLY Chanel did half price on everything and it was MANIC, honestly people were fighting each other and tearing classic flaps from others hands 😂😂😂
1 price increase a year is understandable/acceptable (inflation and all that) but Chanel and LV are taking the p*** at this stage.

I was saving up to purchase my 1st Chanel for a milestone birthday in 2019 but ended up buying it in Jan 2017, during an unexpected trip to Paris. I couldn't pass the opportunity to visit the infamous Rue Cambon, get an item with the white shopping bag/packaging.

I am so glad I bit the bullet there and then. I paid €2250 for a seasonal woc that now it cost almost €3k. If you leaving money sitting in your account you get nowhere near this much interest over a 3/4yrs period.

Gorgeous choice I have a vintage cream Chanel. I think I paid around £800 for it a few years ago. I look at vintage Chanel daily 🤣.
Great minds think alike hehehe. I’ve been interested in another vintage Chanel for the longest time but I just can’t seem to get my hands on it unfortunately. I keep looking around for it but I’m guessing it’s hard to come by. It also doesn’t help that I don’t know the offical bag name but I’m so obsessed with the antique hardware and the chevron pattern!!

So not only Chanel bag prices have increased I have noticed they increase the price of their double mirror.
I bought one around April 2021 for £27/28 now it’s £32.
Kinda funny I left it lying around and my dog chewed it ( that old chestnut) so I’ve had to buy another one. It’s day light robbery but the mirror is absolutely worth it. Best hand mirror I’ve ever owned. It’s light, compact, very thin and one of the sides is magnified.
Now I’ve got to make sure to keep it out of reach from my dog. Our dog has expensive taste. He once chewed my Valentino shoes. ( cries )

Hey no I very rarely go in Harvey nicks tbh I don’t know why just don’t like the vibe 🤣 probs just me but yeah much prefer Selfridges. I went with my eldest daughter we went round the Christmas markets. We’ll be back in a few weeks Manchester is now her favourite shopping place 😩🤣.
Didn’t we have this conversation before and everyone said the same about HN for both Manchester and London? I hate it 😂 I do order stuff online though, I just hate the store itself.

Hey! I am having a moment of serious indecision, please can I have your advice? 🙂 I am currently in St. Tropez, tomorrow I am heading to Cannes, and then Monaco. I am hoping to buy my first Chanel bag on this trip, so I went in the boutique here yesterday and they had no WOC in colours I liked, but they had this purse/clutch which I fell in love with, and it’s only €890😍 I could fit my phone, money and a key in, not much else but to be honest I try and keep my load as light as possible. I have called ahead and Chanel Monaco have boy WOC available, which would probably be a bit more practical for fitting things in. The money sensible side of me is saying get the small pink one in St. Tropez, and use it for evenings out when you won’t carry much, and the practical side of me is saying invest more in a woc so you get more use out of it. I don’t intend for this to be my only Chanel purchase, just my first View attachment 775196
Personally I’d go for the pink as it’s a reasonable price point for Chanel. I find the boy WOC are too expensive for what they are, and if you intend to get more Chanel, putting that bit extra toward a mini flap or coco handle.

It’s so strange how in each store/concession the staff are so hit and miss. I don’t get it…some of them think they are the shit and it’s like no hun calm yourself down you work for the brand 🙄. I go by myself and I have no problems but sometimes if I’m with my husband because he’s a hmm let’s say Yorkshire man with an accent some don’t take a liking to it 🤣 he won’t spend a penny if they do that’s why I tend to just stick to Selfridges at Manchester 😁.

To be fair I saw them coming out of Gina later laden down with bags, so Louboutins loss was Ginas gain.
Do you remember how massive Gina was in the 90’s/2000’s?

yep, it’s crazy. I feel sorry for people who are just starting out/building their collections. It’s incredibly sad, and I feel like Chanel are being greedy at this point

the quality isnt great and now you’re just paying for the aesthetics/brand. I also heard they’re limiting people from buying classic flaps if they don’t have a purchase history or if they attempt to buy more than 1 a year. Sounds a lot like Hermes

Personally I just couldn’t ever justify paying those sorts of prices for costume jewellery. Fair enough if you like a particular design but I think investing in real materials is wise as it’ll last so much longer, plus at most places you’d get the unlimited aftercare included too.

I bet you will buy more in the summer of 22. 🤣😆
Almost certainly. I bought my wedding shoes a year ago before we had to move our wedding 4 times and it's now ben pushed back a whole year. My fiance is moaning that I have now gone off the shoes I bought and want another pair 🤣 they are very nice shoes but I can't be held to shoe decisions I made over a year ago!
