Hermes are hand fucking made by ateliers. Chanel are made on a conveyor belt and come with cheap plastic price tags on them that Uniqlo also use - often with the last ( cheaper) price on them that they then cross out and put another sticker over.
I’m only buying Hermes from now on, they have the quality and the customer service, and I’ve never had anything break from there.
My Loewe Flamenco just broke and they told me it would take 2 months to send off and fix. I’ll be using Spring bags by the time I get it back.
What a joke.

Guys! I may actually be in a position to buy my first Chanel in the next few months.

I'm torn between vintage classic styles or a new one in a bright colour.

Something like this

Or like this

I genuinely love both styles equally. Any advice is welcome.
If it’s your first I’d go for something classic and timeless in a neutral colour. I’m not really a fan of the brightly coloured Chanel bags. There’s something really off putting about such classic styles in garish/fashionable colours.

Ooh LV Edinburgh. Absolutely awful. I went recently with a friend, we were in Edinburgh for a couple of days and I wanted to buy the mini pochette accessories. Went along on a Tuesday about 11am, gave our names, SA disappeared for a few mins and came back telling us there were "absolutely no appointments today" and basically shooed us away. They just weren't interested. I have a Russian name (not my tattle name I should add), my friend is Asian so we're quite used to people being standoffish with us but they're known for treating people poorly regardless of nationality/race!!

I don't know why the Edinburgh store is particularly bad, very strange snobishness. You can go into HN next door with absolutely no problems, the SAs in there are brilliant. I just bought the mini pochette online a few days later 🤷

Yeah she’s been saving all her spending money since October bless her. Well probs treat her and put the rest towards. These price increases are just so ridiculous now I dread the next lot 🤯.

I would definitely recommend her. She’s really well known and credible.
Agreed. Ive never bought from her but she’s been around in the mulberry groups for years and she’s gone into a broader range the last couple of years. The mulbs groups in particular are great at sniffing out dodgy sellers, so she’d have been called out ages ago if she wasn’t legit.

Just to update on my sale. I did use VC and it sold quickly and at a decent price (even after their extortionate fees!). The item delivered to Europe in 24 hours, then I had to wait 72 hours for the buyer to report issues. Payment has cleared in my account now so took about 5 days total. Can't actually complain tbh! Should probably leave a review because their TP is quite horrific lol 😆

Hi,
Thanks for posting this item. My first mulberry item. It’s not a brand I’m drawn to but I’m
Impressed for the the price and quality.
I received it yesterday.
It’s great as I can place my iPhone max pro, car keys, lippie, card holder, compact mirror, pen and pocket tissue. I can find everything is one place. Also it’s given me an idea it’s a great gift purchase if you stuck for ideas for a friend or a family member.
Thanks again. 🤗❤

I'm going to say something controversial but I'd rather spend a grand on a good rep than give that sort of money to chanel. One of the straps on my Gabby wasn't good from the start and they wouldn't do anything for me.
that's so shit that they wouldn't do anything for you! they can't charge ridiculous prices without having impeccable service and they've got some of the worst service ever.

Oh the Chanel price increases are out of this world if I’m being honest. It’s such a shame because I love the brand and their bags are gorgeous but there is no way that their prices match the quality. I think I’m just going to stick vintage Chanel for now. Wish they would just improve their quality though and the price increase wouldn’t bother me as much.

I have feeling they keep hiking up their prices so that their bags are less accessible to a large number of people which in turn makes their bags seem rare and only belong to certain type of clientele but i could be wrong.

New thread! Continue here 🥰

What does everyone think of the Bottega padded cassette bags? And the regular cassette bags?
💚
I personally aren't a fan. I said previously they remind me of a bag you could pick up from River Island. Although they do seem very popular at the min.

Hello everyone, new here and I'd like to ask for your advice.

I have used two Longchamp Le Pliage bags before. (Yes yes, I know they are very last decade and no longer cool etc. but I still love the shape and the practicality of them.) I was considering a new one, as my current one has started to tear open from one of the bottom corners (it is very well loved). I also looked at the Ralph Lauren Keaton. They are very similar in shape and material and I thought maybe I could go for a different bag this time.

Has anyone used the RL Keaton before? Did you find the straps etc. durable enough? I take good care of my belongings but at the end of the day, it will become an everyday bag and I can't be too precious with it. The straps look a bit more delicate than Longchamp ones which is why I'm undecided. Thanks in advance x
I use my pliage occasionally. Last time I used it, I held two bottles of hendrinks gin, a 2L lemonade and some bottles of beer on my way to a house party (classy 😂).
I would say stick with longchamp. I googled the RL bag and I don't think the straps would be as durable.

Right that’s enough Chanel for me 😭 I’m going to Milan soon, I’m going to try for an Hermes bag (not quota bag)… I hope I get it 🤞🏼
I hope you get your Hermes easier than I did 😅. I seriously don’t blame your decision here. Hermes quality is far more superior than Chanel today imo.

I just bought the pochette felicie as since Covid I don't really use big bags. I remember looking a couple months ago and it was in the £600s but I just paid £865! Crazy!

Whoever recommended addicted to handbags, thank you. I'm obsessed.
