The price increase is just fucking me off now 😂 like if the bag was priced at £1000 last week you obviously thought that’s what it was worth now you want me to pay £1500 (for example) for a bag that’s worth £500 less? Get in the bin.

Is anyone else getting a bit bored of Chanel? It’s a pain to buy anything, and with those price increases…
I wish I liked Hermes, as right now I’d rather buy from there.

I will live and die by Le Pliage, cool or not 😂 such a great workhorse bag!

I currently have medium and large totes (both black), a pink holdall and a navy backpack.

Simply put I just can't afford Chanel anymore (although they've been extortionate for a while now) so they've priced me out. Of course I love the classic flap but I can't justify saving up thousands when I've got other stuff I should be putting my money into, you know? I've also found myself more drawn to Cartier and jewellery, I've already got a fixed rotation of bags and realistically I don't need any more right now.

The thing I've always liked about designer items is that they're actually quite accessible to "normal" folk with regular incomes and personally, I like saving up for something because it feels like a treat. With Chanel now though, it seems clear they're only interested in catering to a certain type of client.

What do you guys think of this Gucci Dionysus bag? I've had my eye on it for over a year and maybe I'll get it around christmas time as a present for myself 🥰

I should do whatever I want with the money I work hard for but spending € 2K on a purse does leave me feeling guilty. Can anyone relate?
This is the exact same for me tbh. I grew up really poor. Nobody in my family likes designer stuff - no idea where I got it from! I guess it made me want to be able to afford nice things for myself? The other week my Mum was going on about people having ‘more money than sense’ buying expensive bags etc. I was sheepishly shuffling to hide my Chanel haha, she would have a heart attack if she knew how much it cost. I don’t care though. Some people spend thousands a year on cigarettes, alcohol, whatever. I’m not going to feel bad about liking bags and shoes, it took me four degrees to get a job where I could afford them, I reckon I’ve paid my dues 😂

I saw some shop assistants telling a new guy not to serve some travellers in Louboutin on Mount Street once. They literally had handfuls of cash, it was like pretty woman 😢.

Hi all,

It’s been a while since I’ve come on here… apparently there is a Dior price increase tomorrow! 😭
I just don't understand this anymore. It's such a contradiction to me that brands like Dior gives influencers all their stuff for free (and it has been A LOT the last few years and increase their prices at the same time. If people are influenced to buy Dior items based on what they saw on socials, but then see the prices increasing and increasing, would anyone still buy a bag that they know is overpriced? Seems like a lose-lose for Dior because they give their stuff away but the return on investment won't be high because the majority of people cannot justify spending so much money on their items? It's not like it would really impact them financially, but still 🤷‍♀️ at some point people reach their max on what they want to spend on certain items right

Guys you will not believe what happened to me at the weekend. I was in Chanel waiting to be seen had my trendy with me and my husband said what’s wrong with your bag? I looked down and one of the links on the chain had opened and unravelled from the leather!!! Couldn’t make it up! I can’t believe you can pay so much money for a bag barely use it and it breaks!

So I mentioned it to the SA and she said it has to be sent off to be fixed and that it ‘will take a lot of time’ I haven’t given it in yet I’m taking it back later today. Does anyone have any experience with Chanel repairs and time frame?

My designer regret list is pretty long.

buying two Bayswater’s and then realising they’re just too heavy
buying a mini celine luggage and realising it weighs a ton - and losing a load on selling it
buying the tiny Valentino my rockstud bag, realising it doesn’t even fit my phone and losing 2/3 when selling it.
buying multiple pairs of designer shoes and after one wear realising they don’t fit my feet

I’ve learned I definitely need to think through my purchases better and be less impulsive!

It’s this one. It’s somewhere in between the small and the medium. They had the small and I was very tempted but it only just squeezed my phone in, I need a bit more room! It was £100 odd pound difference between the sizes after tax. It seems hardier than the classic flaps so I think I would use it more often. I’m hoping the lady gets in touch with me soon, she didn’t make any promises but I feel like when you’re waiting for a boy (literally) to call you for a date 😂

Omg yay! I love boy bag! Which size and colour were you thinking to get?

Even vogue Williams was saying on her latest podcast with Joanne when she went to Chanel in Paris with Spencer who obviously has a lot of money they made her feel like shit and it just wasn’t an enjoyable experience at all. I think all this ‘purchase history’ and the Hermes birkin game is ridiculous and just smacks of elitism, if I want to spend thousands on a bag just take my money!!!

These stories are so sad, what right do these SA's have to treat anyone badly? You work here love, you're not Christian Louboutin himself!
Exactly that!! They literally are no better than someone who works in bloody Poundland. Absolutely nothing wrong with working in Poundland btw didn’t want it to come across that way.
