Why do so many men in their early 30s have kids! Did they not go to college or uni, or have to build a career? Did they get given a house, or did they live in a tent? Do they live on monopoly money? Have they travelled further than Mallorca? I’m sorry, I don’t mean to criticise but FFS man, under list of ‘what I did in my 20s’ it was nothing that involved responsibility and I want a hot young man with no ties. Do I need to start robbing the cradle? 🤣
1. how do you know they didn’t go uni
2. How do you know they haven’t travelled
3. Early 30s haha most people have had kids by then unless they have made a certain firm choice to wait.
4. I’m sure men have this problem too

I don’t know, hence why I was asking the questions... However, as a wild guess I’d say that most of these men with kids in double figures at 31 did not have the time or money to go to uni. And also the jobs they have don’t require it either. If they’re really young kids, who would want to date them seriously? Not a good sign for commitment potential! I mean 31, and already single with a kid in nappies? Come off it!

Also, the average age for men in the UK to start having children is actually nearly 34 and statistically it is well-known that men and women who have a higher education have children later than the general population. Most are over 35, hence the boom of ‘geriatric’ pregnancies!

I know men have this problem, as they moan about it constantly. When I was 31, men would run at even the mention of kids and so would I for that matter.

I agree, my ex was older than me but had a child (I don't have any) and it was always difficult to know that I would never come first, and as his child didn;t live in the UK I was always worried he would eventually miss him too much and want to move back

New thread title:

Dating 6: block him

🤣
Oh I don’t know. Some of the women on here are just as bad as some of the men we are here to vent about, so should we be asking the question - is it really them, or us? Just sayin! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Good for you, that can’t have been easy. You are a woman though? How old was he? Did he go to uni? I still stand by my original assessment, this is by no means the norm!

Make sure you’re bringing enough to the table to be this picky.

I don't think it's being picky to not want to date a guy with kids.
yes make that choice and that’s good but don’t insult them like they have no life and have achieved nothing that darn right disrespectful

I think on dating apps people make snap judgements based on a quick glance of a profile / what message was sent. Like you say, some people can be very accomplished but had kids early because that's when they had them. On the flip side just because you're over thirty with no kids it doesn't mean you are accomplished.

I think the ease of swiping means that people are more likely to swipe based on some pre-conceived ideas they have rather than getting to know the person.

You have not mastered the art of using the apostrophe though ...

He didn't go to uni but has a very successful job (regional sales manager for a global company) and he's 30

You can easily say I don’t date men with kids. Instead it was a complete bashing. It’s rude. Then to further bash on punctuation. Then cry when you get ghosted 👀
